We were on a road trip getting gas and our car wouldn't turn back on. Stranded at a gas station (with our 3 small children) we called at least 5 other Mechanics who weren't open on a Sunday- then Autocom answered, was available, and told us they could prioritize our car! When they couldn't get the part until the following day the owner offered his own car for us to drive to a hotel for the night. Seriously, the kindest most generous guy ever. They came through when i was in a bind. Purchased a project 73 chevy that i was attempting to break in by driving it from Palmdale 2 bay area. Unfortunately 3 flat tires later n what sounds like possible blown gasket i was able to roll the car into Tulare. They quoted me the best reasonable price even after i checked around. They pulled up a lil sketchy at first in their low rider truck but they were cool down to earth. Original tow ended up getting sidetracked so car had to sit on their yard overnight but they did everything to make me feel secure with leaving my new purchase behind . It's never good to have a breakdown or flat after hours,especially when traveling with an elder parent and a big dog, let alone trying to get a tow when your Insurance Company doesn't have Corporate accounts ( sorry Nationwide cancelling your service) that can help you. Oh, and did I mention it was about 32 degrees! After CHP came to our rescue, Joseph came next. In a matter of minutes, he had the car hooked up, mother and dog in the cab, me in next, and off we went. His humor and easy going demeanor made us feel at home during a very scary and long night. You know that awful feeling you get when you are far from home and you start having car trouble? Thursday July 3rd, at about 1 in the afternoon I was driving North on Hwy 99 from my home in Ventura County to visit family in Sacramento for the 4th of July holiday weekend. It was over 100 degrees in the valley heat. Literally the worst time for a breakdown. After receiving a diagnosis of a clogged Catalytic Converter at Cam-Tech Automotive up the street, I met Joe at Autocom. Joe was friendly, professional and had the exact model of Magnaflow catalytic converter required for my Chevy Pickup. His team cut out the old clogged cat and expertly welded in the new one. The prices were reasonable and the service was great. And after maybe an hour and a half I was back on the road with a truck that was running great. As good as it gets! Joe from Autocom was so helpful. I live on the East Coast and had a truck and trailer that was located in California and needed to get back to the east coast. Joe helped me get the vehicle towed to Autocom and then did a full inspection on the truck and trailer and did all of the necessary work to get the truck and trailer ready for the trip back to the east coast. There is never a good time to breakdown but we are feeling very fortunate that we ran into problems with our motorhome and found Autocom in Tulare. They tried locating parts for us on Sat. evening and Sunday to get us on the road faster.
