My nephew discovered this shop when he moved to Visalia 5 years ago, the technicians & management at AutoTech performed the requested repairs on his ford lightning in a timely fashion with very reasonable charges. January this year I took my ford edge to them, and they resolved the transmission problem for $80 in 45 minutes, after the ford dealer stated I needed to place the transmission torque converter for only $4500!!!! I would highly recommend AutoTech repair shop & staff to everyone, I'm 72 & now retired, having owned & operated a Porsche / Mercedes repair shop & repaired various other types of autos in Southern California! I had my head gaskets and timing chain replaced. I got it back with missing bolts on the block and on the front shield of my truck. They charged me for a WIXX oil filter but my motorcraft filter that I installed is still in the truck. My truck is still leaking oil out of the oil filter adapter, which they were specifically told not to touch because I just repaired it. They charged me FOUR GRAND for missing bolts, a broken front bumper, and extra damage to my truck. When I arrived they did not have the engine cover on my truck and were going to keep it until I saw it on one of their tool trays and demanded they put it back on. They even forgot one of their sockets in the body of my truck. AWFUL shop. read more

First time here. We took our RV to the old smog check garage that last did it they no longer service RV's so we went next door they couldn't use their equipment with our converter. So we went down the street searching, a lot of places no longer service class A motorhomes. FYI Then we started calling places. We found this place just by calling everyone around the main street area. The garage and parking lot is super clean! All the employees seemed very friendly within about 25mins our RV smog was done! This was a truly awful experience. My car overheated. They replaced all the hoses and sent me home without checking the radiator--an obvious place to check. The car overheated the next day. They said my head gaskets were blown and I needed to spend $3,000 to pull the engine and resurface the heads. This was a lie. There was no water in the oil, which signifies blown head gaskets. A mobile mechanic charged me under $500 to replace the radiator and the car is as good as new. I will never understand how they decided the whole engine needed to be removed and repaired when it was just a simple radiator fix. This is either sheer negligence, incompetence, or thievery on their part. read more

Went there to get a car smoged through the state and was given a voucher to pay them to get the car passed, these kind of people took their sweet time to do nothing on it all weekend. they ended up telling me when I called the next week they wanted me to test drive it and they were waiting for me but never contacted me, They were so mean to me and ended up telling me they get paid 120 an hour and the voucher ran out and it needs a computer and a cat converter. so I left with my car which was running fine and now it dies at stop signs and jerks a lot I took it back and they said they don't don't know ?? Brought my car in for a smog and was in and out in 15 minutes. Friendly staff, good experience. Went back when i needed service on my Kia. I appreciated the thorough explanation of what was needed and why. Prices were very fair and the quality of workmanship was excellent. Went here to get a smog. Unfortunately my car did not pass. I was told by the tech that if I bring it back to have it smogged again I would have to pay the 50 dollar fee again. ( I have been taking my cars there for 6 years for smogs ) I have never been charged twice. The guy behind the counter says it is a new law.. that is BS. So if you want to be lied to and over charged take your car here.. had to give one star but it should be no stars .. I will be contacting BBB and do a report and smog check buerau of California. read more

Stay away from this people!!! When we took my son's car for a tune-up they quoted us only $375.00, his car was in a great condition. Then I received a call from the shop they were saying the belt around the engine is dusty and needs to be cleaned up and wanted $950.00 total. After we got the car, my son had a hard time with the car and took it back. They said the computer is bad and they wanted $1,100.00. After they replaced it, the car started shaking so bad, my son could not drive it and it was dying on the side of the road. We took it back again and this time they said it was a problem with the shocks and they wanted $1,500.00. This time we took the car to another mechanic, but unfortunately the car was so badly damaged and ruined by these people we had to get rid off it. Don't trust them, don't let them to work on your car or do anything with your car. We lost a perfectly good vehicle working with these people. read more
