Last night I called here and Brian literally picked up and spoke with me about availability. He was free first thing this morning and we set up a time for him to come. Car was at my house, in the driveway, Brian was friendly, professional, and most importantly- thorough. Found a few areas that needed repair and I was happy that it was reasonable compared to taking it to a major shop. Cracks and dings are important to fix right away. They can turn into something worse so fast, so especially with the high cost of replacement, I'd gladly keep calling Brian to come out moving forward. I know that filling a star or a crack is not going to magically make it invisible- but what it will do is prevent future damage from that specific spot. Lifetime warranty, just great service. I casually mentioned I was getting my windshield fixed tomorrow in Lilburn at Safelite and it was going to be around $1,000 (insurance wouldn't cover it). My appointment was at 1:00, (3 hours minimum) and they couldn't promise it would be $1k, might be more, depending on what they ended up having to do. Stephen said, MOM...they are the most expensive place! Did you call around for estimates?" Well, I had just asked a few people and they all said Safelite. If you know me, you will have a hard time believing I didn't call around. I squeeze a dime until it screams - but this time I didn't. I googled and found a company in Grayson that had all 5 stars with many reviewers. I called and spoke to Jonathan (who I found out later was the owner). He quoted less than half the price Safelite quoted AND THEY WOULD COME TO MY HOUSE!!! OK, now I'm listening. I want you to know he was at my house a couple of hours later, installed the windshield, calibrated it (Toyota's have to be calibrated with a windshield change), cleaned my dashboard and sat with me to explain everything he did. This is a family-owned business. Nicest man you will ever meet. I am so thankful for him and all the events that led up to this! Honest, amazing work and fun to talk to! Next Day I'm driving and starts to rain and I see water dripping from the top of the windshield in my truck. Thankfully this didn't happen overnight or else the water would've destroyed my $1150 Stereo system. I put a plastic bag over my stereo and Stoney's came back in 3 days (after the weekend) to re-glue my windshield. Overnight my floor boards filled with water that weekend. After they reglued I notice by back up cam monitor/rear view mirror isn't working and the cable run up through the windshield. They actually were the reason the leak happened in the first place, Stoney's pushed the cables in with glue on it and created a hole in the glue. I buy another rear view monitor for the back up cam. It gets no power either. So I know the power cable was damaged running up through the windshield either water damage or being pinched from the windshield install. All that takes me 4 weeks to figure out. My truck smells like mildew on the inside still from all the water that had leaked into the truck. I tell them that it's going to cost me $150 to reinstall the power line to the rear view monitor and I need to get the inside of the truck shampood from the water damage of their windshield install. They responded saying if I had complained right away about the damage they would have addressed it. But because I tried to fix it myself and waited 4 weeks to tell them, they can't take fault for why my back up camera now doesn't work and my truck smells like mildew. So now fixing those things will cost me as much as getting the windshield replaced.
