I had some jerk break out my passenger window to steal a purse from my trunk. On the advice of my…read moreinsurance company, which didn't cover the glass, I called Safelite. First, let me say the techs were great. Travis and Hans were courteous and professional and got the job done quickly, once they could. What does that mean, once they could? Well, first it was a week out before they could schedule a field repair. Ok, I can deal with that. When they came out though, they couldn't do the repair because the glass they brought was broken. They found this out when they started doing the work. Better late than never? A week later, when they were able to reorder the glass, they came out and got it installed. Then noticed the scratches all over one corner. It looks like something with claws was trying to grab it and left long etch marks in the glass. Sorry, but why the heck doesn't someone there check the product BEFORE it goes out to a customer? The tech did say that it would be covered under the manufacturer warranty, but damn it, I don't have time for this. It isn't likely to obstruct my view so I'll live with it, but a bit angry that it's this hard to get a piece of glass replaced. So high marks for service, but minus points for poor products.
