My Mercedes had been very well maintained for years by another specialist and had an unusual coolant leak that leaked into the transmission. They told me the transmission would need to be replaced at a very high cost. I got 2 others opinions who told me the same but 1 suggested I contact Autohaus who actually build these. I called and Earnie understood the problem and suggested a multi step process to see if it could be repaired without replacing the transmission. Amazingly he and Dirk managed to fix it at a reasonable cost, car drives perfectly and I am beyond happy. Additionally communication was superb, I knew what the plan was and approx costs along the way. Dirk is the best. Can't thank him and his team enough on their service for my 13 year old car. My parents and I have been going to him for years. I made the mistake of taking it to the dealership recently for an electrical issue and they said they found all these other repairs that were needed that cost 7K. CONSUMER BEWEARE THIS PLACE IS THE REAL DEAL! If I could give more stars I would. I used to go to Richard but then Dirk took over and the quality of service, attention to detail and most importantly integrity remains the same. Perfec t example, my GLK 350 2016 lost power and felt like it was going to shut down if I accelerated, engine light turned on. Took it to Dirk, he could not find the error code. I had to take it to "the dealer" to pay $300 plus just to find the error code. I needed a coil replaced and a fuse that is it. Dealer quoted me $600 plus! I took it back to Direck and paid less than $300.00. Point being is that I can always count on this shop to come through with stellar service, quality work and honestly. I will be coming back! I have been a loyal customer to Richard for years and years. My Mercedes was repaired by him n his Russian crew over n over again. Too many problems with it. Pour a lot of maintenance n repairs on this baby. And they always took care of me. Well the last time I visit them and never again coz Richard tried to scam me by telling me that something else was wrong and instead of the real problem which is the transmission. I towed my car all the way there got some diagnostics and they say it's nothing and tried to sell me something else. I later took my car to another repair shop luckily and they have evaluate it for 1 day and found a rare transmission problem that Richard didn't catch. I really wonder if all those years when they said they did their service n maintained my car... Is it all legit parts n good oil filter n etc? Hmmm. So disappointed. read more

I brought in my '88 560SEC to have an electrical problem diagnosed. I received a return call right away, telling me there was nothing wrong with my car other than needing a new battery. The most important thing to me in a any car repair establishment is honesty. Richard could have easily told me I needed to replace super expensive part A or semi expensive part B. I wasn't testing them in that I really (or should I say, my husband) didn't know what was wrong with my car. But if I were, these guys passed the test. When something really goes wrong with my car, I be sure to bring her back to Autohaus Burlingame. read more

I got so ripped off it is amazing. I had a check engine light on my car and he immediately opened my gas cap. He was doing an oil change and kept asking me if I wanted the diagnostic so I finally agreed and guess what, the problem was the gas cap that he had already fixed--it was all a scam and he charged $86.00 for the diagnostic. Also, his oil change belive it or not is $7.00 more than the BMW dealer in the city. So go directly to BMW and do not stop in Burlingame. read more

It has been a few years since I have written a review for this fine repair shop. Despite having moved further away from Autohaus Burlingame, I still drive the miles to have my cars serviced there. Once you find a great and more importantly an honest mechanic, you stick to them like glue. The peace of mind I get knowing that our Benzes are properly serviced and repaired is worth driving to Burlingame to me. Sadly, one of the shop's longtime mechanics, Slavo, has passed away. My condolences to Slavo's family and friends. Unless I move completely out of the Bay Area, Autohaus Burlingame will always be my auto repair shop! I love you guys! Richard runs a tight ship and his mechanics are knowledgeable about Mercedes vehicles. The place is not cheap, but it's not as expensive as the dealers either. Anyone who owns a German vehicle understands that it takes cash to keep it running on the road. I was pleased with the work, but I sometimes find it annoying when shops like this find little things to add on to the service to pad the bill. I paid around $150 for an oil change...I may have needed some new wipers for about $50 and a new oil filler cap, but just let me go and hit me up next time.
