I recently had a stage Carbahn Stage 3 Power package installed on my 2020 M2 Comp by Autohause. It wasn't a certain decision given the negative experiences reported by other BMW owners from other shops regarding the faulty pinned crankhub portion. Also, the thought of tinkering with a motor with relatively low mileage seemed risky, potentially leading to failure on an otherwise pristine car. With these concerns, I had numerous questions prior to committing, and the team lead, Andrea, was instrumental in addressing all of them. The installation process was extensive, taking a week and a half, and involved constant communication and progress updates. When I got the car back, the power gains were obvious from the start. I live in Arizona, so I had an opportunity to stress test the build driving east through the mountains in the extreme heat. I was grinning the whole time. The car runs great during hard runs and smoothly in idle and when driving conservatively most of the time. I have an 2019 BMW X3 with 117,000 miles on it. I use it as my primary car, so keeping it in top shape is very important to me. This is the first time I have been to Autohaus Frankfurt and before that I took it to the dealership for repairs. The reason I took it here was because of its reputation and I needed the tire pressure monitors looked at because the dash light came on. The first thing they did was a complete diagnostic of the car. What they found were bigger issues that I wasn't aware of. They also found some other issues that could've led to bigger issues later on. I'm so grateful for that! What I really appreciated was that they sent me proof of everything that was wrong. I didn't have to take their word for it. They are very honest here. When they found something wrong, they also communicated with me immediately. They made sure to explain everything clearly, that I didn't have any questions, and that I was comfortable with everything that they were doing. They didn't do any work without permission from me first. Every step of the way through the process of repairing my car was done with confidence and constant communication. When I got the car back from being fully repaired, and I was driving it back home, the first thing I noticed was how incredibly smooth it drove! It was like driving on glass! Even when it was new, I don't remember it driving this well! The engine was quieter too. I didn't even realize it was on except for the dashboard showing me that it was. I guess I got used to driving it with problems that I didn't realize existed. I love driving this car, but now I love it even more! It feels really good driving it! The people here are very nice and seem ready to help. We've been twice so far. My husband's Mercedes was acting funny. They're pretty helpful and tried very hard to find the problem but they could not. Also, we did not get an update or a call back until we bugged them. Even after us calling asking for an update nope still nothing. I think I had to call two or three times before we finally got something. I thought that was very unprofessional. As far as pricing goes, they are a little more expensive than the dealership when it comes to some things. For instance, for my Volkswagen, it was much more expensive to get an oil change here then it would've been at the Volkswagen dealership so obviously I did not go with this place. read more

I have gone here for several years after my BMW's and Mercedes factory warranties are up. They have worked on my BMW Roadster, my M Roadster, my 6 series, and my Mercedes E350 Wagon that they worked on the other day. My most recent car is a BMW M8 that is still in factory warranty. But as soon as the warranty is up I will be definitely bring it to them. They do an amazing job and always have your car back to you in a decent time frame. Why do I love them so much I will tell you why. My 6 series was having problems and I had to be towed to them. After running the diagnostic they crossed reference the part with BMW and found that that particular part had an extended coverage. They recommended me taking it to the dealer which saved me several thousand dollars. This is one of the reasons I love working with them. They could have did the job and charged me for it. Family Owned, dad worked for BMW, and Mercedes growing up in Germany and recently retired. Son and daughter are still running the business so nothing has changed. Friendly service, amazing quality and customer service, uses certified factory parts. Much more reasonable than the dealership. She wouldn't give me a quote because I only gave a ballpark of the mileage. Other businesses I've called have given me a quote. Quoted $3,000+ for work that overlaps and takes half the time claimed (valve blasting and injector swapping). I brought all my own parts which they couldn't use which i was fine with, and they still tried to run dealership pricing. I ended up doing it myself for under $400. Just be careful -- they assume you don't know what you're talking about. Brought in my BMW 530e with the engine light on. I was sold a bill of goods for $175. My engine light was on, but they don't have the technology to see what it's for. However, they charged up my car & told me the light went off, so that must have taken care of it. Of course, the light came back on a week later, with a full charge. I was also told that I would need to upgrade to get an EV charger to make it charge faster. This makes no sense, as my car charges overnight, so there's no need for it to happen faster. 100% charged is 100% charged, regardless of how long it takes. Both of these things were confirmed by the dealership, who I should have gone to in the first place. read more

my BMW X5 was missing on one cylinder took it to Bear Automotive and they recommended replacing all plugs and ignitors ($ 1,800.00). The car still didn't work right after 2 repairs. Bear auto told me that my injector was malfunctioning and recommended I replace 4 of 8 on one side $2,000 more. I wanted a second opinion since the issue was still present and they were guessing on the issue. I took it to Autohaus Frankfurt and they repaired the issue for the cost of the diagnosis $150. Bear Auto didn't place the caps back on the plugs properly. The Folks at Autohaus Frankfurt did the repairs that day, checked the balance of the car and i was very happy with the repairs as well as the updates I received during the visit. I recommend there shop for BMW repairs as they have qualified repair folks as well as a great staff. read more

First: it was my understanding your shop would call me to schedule a time to bring the car in so you wouldn't need another 10 days to do 2 days worth of work. I waited 2 weeks with no call. At that point I felt like your shop just did not care about correcting the issue. It would take time out of your other parts installations. Second: this issue has nothing to do with wheels, tires or "wheel-spacers". Who uses wheel spacers to make any car drive correctly?? If you thought that would solve the problem, why didn't you identify the issue during the 10 days you had the car?? The problem is that your shop never drove the car after $5000 of work was performed on the suspension. Any shop advertising luxury car performance should be able to tell if the car is performing up to expectations of the industry. This does not seem like the case with your shop. As I said before your shop seems like parts installers with fingers crossed hoping the service resolves the problem. No one in your shop takes the time to make sure you're delivering a quality repair or customer experience. Maybe try doing some performance luxury car test drives before delivery back to the customer? read more

I'm writing this review for 2 reasons, I have had personal experience with Seth, and the staff which is family owned here at Autohaus Frankfurt. 1st, the individual that wrote the negative review probably can't or doesn't perform routine maintenance on his cars when necessary, to write a review like that. I don't know what the subject matter was that turned her into a negative writer, but I have never once experienced any of that here. My review begins now, this shop has personally had multiple cars of mine, all being German. I've gone for high performance German cars simply because of the advice, and what seems to be routine maintenance for the staffers here at this shop. Simply stated, Autohaus Frankfurt is not a place to go if you want cheap non quality work. I live in San Bernardino, and it is not convenient for me to come here. I choose to come here, because I trust them, they've done well on all of my cars and now they're getting ready to have a 3rd, a 2012 S4 supercharged. Owning a German car, correction owning a European car is not cheap, specifically if your particular European car happens to be German. This place has my business for life, or as long as I can drive. Shame on the person who wrote something other than positive. I stand by my review and, I dare anybody to try and say something less than truthful about this place that I have been welcomed in like family, treated like the place is my own, and have never been lied to. They are not cheap, but they are definitely not as expensive as the dealers or even other aftermarket facilities. I have been using independent BMW repair shops for over 15 years and Autohaus Frankfurt is easily in the top 10% if not higher. First, they don't tell me what I want to hear, they tell me what they can reasonably do - "we'll look at your car Thursday." Then, they exceed my expectations by doing it sooner. There's a full and accurate analysis, an insistence on OEM parts at what I researched to be the lowest retail price available, then there's things they discovered during the fix that they could have easily bypassed but instead took care of so that everything would be perfect. And it is. Also, customer service isn't just a necessary evil in getting the work, it's clearly a core mission at Autohaus (great job Ludwig!). You own a BMW, you like it, you're gonna spend money because it's expensive, but you're not going to get ripped off and you're going to have a great experience, like I did, at Autohaus Frankfurt. I have three vehicles, I didn't need my vehicle right away. My father was a mechanic, I know how it works. Apparently, you (whoever decided to respond to my review) glossed over the review and chose keywords to attack. I told AF that the error code I got was for the oxygen sensor. I'm not a mechanic, just did a simple test. That's what AF "fixed". Nothing else. AF can't own up to a mistake, and then decides to respond 4 years later. read more

I entrust Autohaus Frankfurt with my '03 BMW M3 SMG. They do outstanding work, are very detail oriented and thorough. The mechanics here are meticulous about their work and are skilled enough to get it done right the first time fairly quickly. They also know what they are talking about and don't try to up-sell you on unnecessary service, parts, labor, etc. I've had oil services, my belts replaced, fluids, etc. performed here. They keep their service bays really clean and their restroom even cleaner (yes, I'm particular about clean restrooms at businesses). They have most of the wear and tear parts in stock at the shop which is nice and convenient. Custom order parts usually get there on time unless there is some issue with the supplier. Also, check out their website from time to time as they run some nice coupons that can save you some $$$ when you get your service done with them. These guys also do work with very reputable performance tuning products like Dinan, etc. but I have no direct experience with them in this area.... yet. ;) The family staffing the office area treat all their customers very well with utmost courtesy and concern. This also applied even to a customer who happened to be a very confrontational/difficult one to deal with (we've all seen those kinds of customers at one point or another). Hospitality is not lost at this establishment either and I really appreciated the K-cup coffees offered to me while I waited for my car. I was also able to get some work done on my laptop while I waited using their free Wi-Fi service! All in all, I am very happy to have a place to take my beloved M3 and feel confident I'm not going to get ripped off with poor service. The mechanics are true professionals and really demonstrate a true passion for their craft! Will definitely be back again soon for some additional maintenance work. read more

Always afraid to take a car to a repair shop being a girl. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by two wonderfully friendly ladies (owners wife and daughter I think). Opening the door to such a warm welcome eased my nerves immediately. While my car was being looked at (check engine light and oil leak) I asked if there was a coffee shop or something nearby and the owner's wife (again, I'm assuming, not quite sure) says "Would you like me to drive you to Starbucks?" Who does that?! It was very sweet. I declined as my ride was on their way to pick me up but it's that kind of customer service that is rare to find these days. Erik gave my car a thorough inspection and showed me precisely what was wrong with my vehicle down to the detail and when he called me later, he completely understood my budget and had no problem letting me know what he thought was priority to get fixed-he completely worked with me. I picked up my car and again, was greeted with the same warm and friendly staff. Erik gave me a written and verbal run down and even gave me extra service on the vehicle out of courtesy. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because it's like giving 5 stars to a dentist..you don't EVER really want to have to go there. You know some work or a lot of work will likely need to be done and it interrupts your whole day. My car needed a lot of work (still does) and it was expensive!...but it's not the fault of Autohaus. My car is a 2001 BMW 325i...with 145,000 mi on it...think it's naturally what's gong to start happening to it. I was just very happy they worked with me and were more than helpful from the time I entered, to the time I left. They took a lot of the stress out of an incredibly stressful situation. read more

I have a 2013 mini. The cooling fan kept running even the engine is stopped. When I called Andrea's sister for the first time. She was super friendly and told me that I needed to drop my car for inspection. They may take 2-3 days to fix it because the parts are located at Escondido. I dropped my car 9:30 on Monday in the morning and they fixed 5:00 in the same day. Andrea even offered me a late pick up 15 mins after shop close time. They tried to charge me $130 dollars an hour just to diagnose the problem with my car, after telling me that the $130 an hour charge was NOT INCLUDING the diagnosis, On top of that they shouldn't have even needed to diagnose it anyways considering I deliberately told them I knew what was wrong with it, and what it needed. UPDATED REVIEW.. So terribly disappointed in the service. We ended up finding & spending $$ on a private Mercedes-Benz mechanic. Our SUV is missing so many bolts & other pieces. It's no wonder Autohaus Frankfurt declined to re-work on our SUV, THEY TOOK IT APART & DECIDED TO THROW BOLTS & OTHER IMPORTANT PIECES OUT. They knew they put it back together without parts. I'll post some pictures of the clogged pipes that were never cleaned. Try to save a dollar at the dealership, come here & just throw your money away. Typical auto mechanic grease balls at its finest! Michelle was excellent and said that she would be able to fit me in same day. Once I arrived I was given an estimate to have my car looked at and with in the hour I was notified what the found problem was, and what the cost would be. Michelle knew the importance of getting the repair done today and needed a part to complete the repair which she gladly took care of to accommodate me. Nice place, staff was very friendly. I had my rear brakes replaced on an Audi S4. I was quoted $479 oem parts, labor, and tax plus they have a $25 off on any service if you print a coupon from their web page. A grand total of $454. I thought it was a good deal. I made an appointment for the morning, they had my car back to me by the end of the day. When I went to pick up my vehicle, I got a new bill of $509. I felt it was a little unfair for them to increase the price for no reason. When I asked them why it went up, they said they didn't know what happened even though they had the original quote written down on their paperwork plus I had a voicemail from them stating the quote. I know it was only a $55 difference,I just felt a little cheated because they could not explain to me why it went up. Other than that I felt it was an ok place. This is a Super great shop. If your looking to upgrade your performance and get top notch quality than this is your place. Erik the owner is a hands on mechanic who does all of the work himself and is very meticulous and makes sure it's perfect. He doesn't have a bunch of $10 dollar an hour mechanics working on your luxury car like most shops! He put a weistec stage 3 super charger on my CLS63 and added a water methonal inject system as well and the work was absolutely perfect.
