I would like to start my review of Temecula European Auto Repair by thanking all the individuals for their time on writing positive reviews. I made my decision to use this company based in large part on those reviews. My MB E350 was due an engine oil change and inspection of various systems. I also requested an estimate for new tires. David and Eric both scheduled the work to be done. The appointment was completed in about an hour while I waited. I am glad I chose this company for my service. The work was done as promised. The inspection included determining if I needed a new engine air filter that was replaced two years ago and driven under 4,000 miles. I was told that I did not need to replace and there was no charge for the inspection. That was an example of integrity at its best. Eric explained in detail the tire estimate. The quality of the replacement tires was excellent and at a very competitive price. I will have the work done at this company. I went to European Auto Repair for my Mini brake sensor saying I need new brakes. They took the time to inspect it and let me know it was just the sensor needing to be replaced. They told me it was a cheap part I could replace on my own. They got me in and out in less than 45 minutes and they didn't charge me a penny for their time and assistance. I was referred by a smog shop to come here because Dom was great at what he does. So I had an A/C problem and it wasn't a problem when I bought the car because I was living in San Diego and really never used it. So when I started to come to Temecula I realized quick that I needed the A/C. I went to Dom and he said he'll take a look at it so he did and he said he could fix for about $1,000 and I came in and paid. Then he said the a/c is still not working. He said he will continue to work on it but about 3 days of looking at it he couldn't figure out what was wrong. So he gave me back my money and didn't charge me for his time. Which I thought was very honest of him and because of that I will for sure come back to Dom. Pros about Dom 1. He's an honest man. 2. He is straight forward and will not try to hide anything from you. 3. Dom is just a nice guy. 4. Dom is busy which says a lot, he must be doing something right if a lot of people are bringing in their cars. 5. He will do whatever it takes to make you happy. 6. I feel comfortable taking my older car to Dom because I know he will take care of it. This is a family-owned business that I stumbled upon during a last minute emergency on my drive to Temecula. This place is honest, straightforward, friendly, and filled with hard-working people. You can tell a lot about a place by the people who work there- whether mechanic or receptionist- or even other workers flowing in and out. I saw that they were on Yelp, and let them know I will definitely write a review so others can know about it. Sometimes the corporate auto dealers are packed with appointments, but the smaller mom and pop shops will get you in sooner - if they can. I was referred to this place by Brett from Temecula Audi; I called Audi of Temecula since the Murietta VW didn't have an opening right away; I need a working car with no issues for my new job. I recently had an Oil Change with VW San Diego. As I exited the Highway I-15 to Temecula to go home, I started to hear a loud scraping noise. When I got home, I peeked down on the street, got on all fours, and to my horror, saw the bottom part of my cover (that protects the engine) was falling out. Given that I had just driven up to Temecula, I wasn't going to turn around and drive back down to SD for safety reasons. Thankfully, I called over to Temecula European Auto; They mentioned they would take a look at it but would have to do a charge etc, since I am not going back to VW San Diego (where they should do it for free to fix their error). I explained that safety is my primary concern, and as I am starting a new job on Monday and carry precious cargo (2 puppies and/or 3 kiddos), I just need someone to look at it and see what we can do (put screws back on and/or put cover back on or order new one). I wasn't too familiar with this area of town, but they are near the Temecula DMV. The upper sign of their building fell off, but when I called, Angi (who is receptionist & wife of the owner "DOM" aka Dominie Long) let me know where I could park - since there are specific slots connected to each business. When Dom came out to meet me, he immediately apologized for the wait, even though when I go to car places, I just know there will be a wait time- esp. when we don't have an appointment & simply show up for any emergencies. Dom is personable and nice; He said he would take a look at it right away. After taking a scan of my car, he found that VW San Diego had only put on the main silver screws but somehow decided not to put on the other nine- the ones that help screw in the sides. Or, if they did so, they didn't do a very good job- since obviously- my bottom cover was falling. Dom's wife then called over to the Murietta VW to inquire about the screws. Dom then personally drove over himself to go pick up the screws to help me out. I literally looked at him and his wife and was like "You are saving my life." Nothing is more stressful than moving and/or car troubles when it comes to "1st world problems." Your car gets you from A to B, and when A is home and B is work, then that is a very needed thing. None of us can navigate our daily lives without the help of auto mechanics or people who know cars- when car issues come up. I don't know a lot of auto repair places where the owner would just "drive over himself" to help a customer out. It means a lot to me that this place went above and beyond to help a little lady out in her move to Temecula. I would feel comfortable taking my car back here for any future repairs or other unexpected issues that come up. Fun Fact: Angi and Dom actually met while working together at Audi in San Diego, and in the last 9 years, Dom opened his own business. I am so proud of what they have accomplished. If this is the same guy - kind of looks like he may have been in a punk band at some point - take your car here. Hopefully, he has better wifi and air conditioning after four years, but whatever. He did good work on all my Volkswagens, never tried to jerk me around (and I would know, since I used to work on missiles, and my grandfather was a mechanic), and was a nice person. UPDATE: I now have an Audi S5 which I adore. So does Dom. Anyways, The Jet has been telling me it needs an oil change and I tried EVERYWHERE in Temecula and they all said my car is too new, too exotic (lol wut?) or they just don't service Audi's. Only reason I didn't come to them first is because HONESTLY, I didn't want to bore them with such a boring job like an oil change. I am planning on driving nearly 3,000 miles pretty soon and they said they'd make sure to do a pretty thorough inspection for me for my travels. On the way over, my mom calls me and tells me to tell Dom that she is not cheating on him, but that she sold her VW CC (which he serviced) and instead has a BMW X2 which is still under warranty. "Mom, he won't care." "Ok, but I care and tell Dom he's so nice to me but my new car isn't broken yet but I will visit when that happens." So, in case anyone is loosing sleep over this - when my moms brand new Bimmer dies (unexpectedly), my mom plans on bringing it to Dom first. read more

They told me something was broken on my Mercedes but it wasn't an emergency and to just fix it next oil change. Fast forward a year without working much and time for an oil change in another state. I brought my car in to Dom because a message came on saying something about needing rest? So I thought maybe my newer MB was over heating after an hour drive. Dom is extremely honest and told me after running a full diagnostic on my car that the car was fine. Come to find out my car has a smart sensor and was asking me if I needed a rest. Funny I guess the car sensed something like me not pressing on the gas the right way or something. Who knows. But honestly, he could have been dishonest and told me I need to replace something. I asked him so I don't have to change a part or anything and he said no and showed me the message in my owners manual. First, I am not a yelper. I am far too busy to leave my 2 cents every time I go somewhere. Unless, it is really great or absolutely horrible. Today's experience was wonderful at TEA. I recently bought a beautiful silver S550 Mercedes. Well, it was time for service so I checked out all of the MB repair sites I could find. Temecula MB was out. Too expensive. As fate would have it, I was looking for another shop when I stumbled upon TEA. There I met Angi and Dom who are the owners. I had done my homework on repairs and pricing so I quizzed them on this and that. They weren't the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive. They were however very competitive and knew what they were talking about. It has been my experience that you go cheap you get what you paid for. Since it was only an oil change, I said what the heck let's try them. Made an appointment and got right in and left. Maybe an hour later I received a text from Angi with a link to my cars inspection. Get this, with pictures. It was a detailed list of everything they inspected with green, yellow and red ratings. If it was yellow or red they sent pictures. That's right pictures! Here is why I will continue to go back. There were a couple very minor services that showed up. Apparently, my brake fluid was beginning to turn green, which I guess was not good but not really bad. I asked Angi how much it was like $168.00 and I said well since you have it why don't you just do it. She said NO it really doesn't need it. Let's do it on the next service. When was the last time a car repair service said "no let's do it at the next service"? There were a couple other little things they could have "nickeled and dime" me for and I would have bit hook line and sinker. Hey, this is my baby and in all modesty i could afford it and Angi knew that but didn't take advantage of me. My take away, TEA would rather have my return business than take me to the cleaners once. I bought a used BMW 750 and it ran fine for about 3 weeks then all went bad. I tried to fix it myself but couldn't figure it out. I had it towed in to the shop and explained what I did and they were very receptive to figuring out what was wrong and didn't make fun of me, or give me grief for trying to fix it myself before bringing it in. I thought for sure it was gonna cost me a fortune. They call me a couple days later and the car was fixed for $230, two hours labor. I had worked on it for 3 full weekends. When I went in to get the car they came out and opened the hood with me and showed me what they found. He said it took him a lot more than 2 hours to find the problem, but he had told me 2 hours when I dropped it off and he was sticking to that. Very honest skillful place and everyone one there were just the nicest people you'll meet. My shop forever now. read more

Amazing service and amazingly honest. I took my 2015 Audi Q7 (no longer on manufacturer's warranty) to get it looked at for an issue it had. The mechanic (15-year Audi-dealer mechanic experience) found the problem. He took the extra steps to find out if the issue was covered by Audi's extended warranty (this is when Audi knows something is defective and they extend the warranty for that specific issue), which it was. The mechanic called me and explained the problem, as well as informed me that I should get this done for free at the Audi dealer, which I did. They also cut the cost of diagnosis to half. Think about this.... They could have charged me for the actual repair and I would have never known about it's extended coverage by Audi. They could have come up with something else and well, I am not a mechanic, how would I know otherwise. If you want to have a peace of mind, this is the place.
