Update: I just came across an update from someone named Tim, who's supposedly the owner of Automotive Aesthetics. Funny, because I never dealt with anyone named Tim. I only spoke with Klaudia (the owner), who mentioned she was renting a space inside Pearl Auto Spa at 3049 W. Irving Park. Here's the kicker: Tim claimed, "When we first spoke, I pointed out specific scratches, paint chips, rust, and damaged body panels that would require bodywork, and you acknowledged that." In reality, it was the complete opposite--I was the one who brought up all the issues with my car, which is the whole reason I went there in the first place! With Spring in full swing I thought why not give my Suby a good "spa" treatment. Searching online for north side shops brought me to AA's website. I'm not exactly sure how AA is related to Pearl Auto Spa, but that is the location where the work takes place. Pricing menus tend to be similar. But it's always important to follow up in the shop to make sure the services you are paying for are received. From my understanding, there are slight differences. Called on a weekday to make the appointment and dropped my car off some days later. I went for the full auto detail inside and out. Figured it was time to do a thorough cleaning. I used to detail my car personally and yearly but too much time had passed since. It was time. My car looked immaculate. It's a black Forester with OEM gray wheels. Somehow they got the wheels to look shiny and crisp. Inside and out, the car had a sheen that sung melodies. I opted for the ozone treatment as well. Utilize this service when trying to remove pesky odors from your car. Now it has a "sanitized" sort of smell to it. Not quite new car smell but an improvement. Prior to booking; I'd say think about timing. I had a late appointment and by the time they got to my car, they were finishing the last steps as they were closing for the night. There were minor details that were forgotten due to running out of time. But I wasn't mad, the majority of the work looked fantastic. I would definitely look into booking cleanings through AA or Pearl Auto spa again. read more

But once you get inside, it's all good: they show you the price list, and make recommendations given your particular needs. After getting a less than stellar response from other detail shops, I got a response from Klaudia, who answered all the questions I had on getting a ceramic coating and front bumper film on my 2021 Countryman. I dropped the car off that Saturday, it had about 2k miles on it (dealer courtesy vehicle), and had clearly been through the automatic wash several times. Saturday and Sunday I got an updates on the progress. When I arrived to pick up the car on Monday afternoon, the only words I can say are WOW! The swirls are gone, the paint looks like mirrored glass, it was clear that quite a bit of time and care was taken in preparing and applying the ceramic coating. The film on the bumper is practically invisible. I only have a Tacoma, not a Porsche or Vette, but they treated my little truck like a $100k sports car, going over and above from coating the inner barrels of the wheels to applying additional layers even to my truck bed.
