After reaching out to several XPEL-certified detailers in the area, I chose Vanguard because their pricing was fair and competitive--but what truly made the decision easy was Seth himself. He personally reached out by phone, genuinely listened to my needs, and recommended the best options for my 2026 Tesla Model Y Juniper without any pressure or upselling. I opted for the full paint protection film (using XPEL's highest-quality product), windshield protection film, and window tints. Throughout the entire process, Seth kept me updated with progress photos and videos, ensuring transparency and peace of mind every step of the way. The attention to detail, craftsmanship, and professionalism were beyond impressive. My car came out looking even better than when it left the dealership, and it was only 4 days old at the time! The entire process took approximately 6 business days, and it was well worth every minute. Seth's honesty, fairness, and genuine pride in his work truly set Vanguard Automotive Design apart. If you're considering any detailing or protective film service, seth and his team are simply the best. I hope my experience and the pictures of my finished car will help you make the decision to trust Seth and his incredible team. Highly recommended!

I originally came in just to have a rear backup camera installed that I purchased from eBay, but they went above and beyond. While working on my car, they noticed an issue with my existing CarPlay system that had been installed by someone else. My Bluetooth would constantly disconnect and kick me back to the home screen, which was really frustrating--but they were able to fix that problem completely. Everything now connects smoothly and works exactly how it should. On top of that, they did an amazing job with the physical setup of the radio and camera. Before, the screen was blocking access to my AC and heater controls, which made it really inconvenient to use. They repositioned everything perfectly so now I can clearly see and use all my buttons without any issue. The backup camera looks great, and the overall setup feels clean and professionally done. I'll definitely be uploading pictures with this review. Huge thanks to the team for taking the time to fix extra issues and making sure everything was done right--I really appreciate it!

I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was a masterclass in disorganization,…read moreindifference, and wasted time. I called a week in advance and told them I'd be coming in Monday morning to get sound deadening installed in the front doors and wheel wells of my station wagon. I even told them I already had the materials. They said "come in at 9." Simple enough. I took time off work and drove from midtown Manhattan all the way to their shop near Fordham University. I arrived at 9am -- their posted opening time -- only to watch the staff stroll in around 9:20. Then I had to wait while they dealt with a customer whose Bluetooth they'd installed incorrectly. When I finally spoke to the manager, I showed him the parts, explained the job, got a quote, and headed back to my office -- another $60 cab ride -- trusting they'd do what they said they could do. Ninety minutes later, they called to say they couldn't remove my tires because they were "on too tight." They didn't have the proper power tool to remove them. A mobile audio shop that can't remove wheels for a job they agreed to do. I asked if they could find a tool somewhere. They couldn't. I asked if they could at least do the front doors -- the part that didn't require touching the wheels. They said no, because they "already had other cars" and mine was now sitting in the street. So I took another $60 Uber back to pick up my untouched car. $120 in transportation, half a day of work lost, and absolutely nothing to show for it. They didn't even bother to do the portion of the job they could have done. I'm sure they have a couple of things they do well, but the devil‑may‑care attitude, the lack of basic tools, and the complete disregard for my time means I won't be returning. If you value professionalism, reliability, or even the slightest respect for your schedule, look elsewhere.

I am documenting my experience with Depot Auto Sound in White Plains, NY for anyone considering…read moreelectrical or custom installation work. The job was clearly defined before the vehicle was dropped off. A written scope and a detailed technical specification package were provided, including step by step instructions, photos, and reference examples. The expectation was straightforward execution. That did not occur. The work that was performed was inconsistent, out of sequence, and in multiple areas incorrect. A primary example was the handling of the main power run, where 2/0 cable was specified but an improper step down to 4 AWG was used instead. The firewall penetration was also left undersized with sharp edges, creating a foreseeable risk of cable damage. Equally concerning was how the vehicle was handled during the process. The shop, under Harry's direction, was aware the vehicle was scheduled for a two day window, with a return visit planned after a bumper installation to complete the remaining scope. At the time of pickup, the vehicle was not road worthy. The horn system was disconnected, and the driver side fender and wheel well liner were left disassembled. The vehicle had to remain for a third day. On the third day, after confirming pickup in advance, the vehicle was found outside in the same condition with no meaningful progress made. At that point, I began reassembling the vehicle myself in order to make it safe to drive. Assistance was only provided after escalation. There were additional unnecessary disassemblies as well. A rear fender was removed without any work being performed in that area and had to be reinstalled. The front wheel well and fender components also required reinstallation after correcting the cable routing. The only work authorized outside the primary scope was a review of horn wiring, and that was clearly stated to be at the end of the project only if time and budget allowed. That sequencing was not followed. As a result, I had to: - Remove incorrectly installed wiring - Re terminate 2/0 cable - Source and install proper glands - Correct routing and protection methods - Reassemble vehicle components that were unnecessarily removed The billing totaled $3,080 based on a claim of 18 labor hours. Based on direct observation and documented activity, that billing does not align with the work performed. The vehicle is equipped with a 3 channel parking mode camera, which documents when work was and was not taking place. That record does not support continuous billable labor across the claimed duration. Harry has pointed to experience as a justification. Experience should translate into controlled execution, adherence to scope, and accurate billing. That standard was not met here. Attempts were made to resolve this directly with him. Those efforts were not productive. The outcome is that full payment was made, and additional cost will now be incurred to have the work corrected by another shop. This experience reflects issues with execution, oversight, and billing integrity at the management level. Anyone considering similar work should take that into account.

The cable was getting pinched when closing the hatch and under where he left the exess. He claimed it's fine for the wire to get wet--which is not correct. The work didn't meet my standards, and the job wasn't worth the $150.00 I paid. When I asked him to fix or undo it, I was told it would cost an additional $75 to undo the work and he told me my employees don't work for free which I found very disrespectful. At the end I had to go to another shop to get the dash cam wiring redone.
