Amateurs at best... They don't know what they're doing when it comes to basic wiring. Go elsewhere if you want professional work.

I am documenting my experience with Depot Auto Sound in White Plains, NY for anyone considering…read moreelectrical or custom installation work. The job was clearly defined before the vehicle was dropped off. A written scope and a detailed technical specification package were provided, including step by step instructions, photos, and reference examples. The expectation was straightforward execution. That did not occur. The work that was performed was inconsistent, out of sequence, and in multiple areas incorrect. A primary example was the handling of the main power run, where 2/0 cable was specified but an improper step down to 4 AWG was used instead. The firewall penetration was also left undersized with sharp edges, creating a foreseeable risk of cable damage. Equally concerning was how the vehicle was handled during the process. The shop, under Harry's direction, was aware the vehicle was scheduled for a two day window, with a return visit planned after a bumper installation to complete the remaining scope. At the time of pickup, the vehicle was not road worthy. The horn system was disconnected, and the driver side fender and wheel well liner were left disassembled. The vehicle had to remain for a third day. On the third day, after confirming pickup in advance, the vehicle was found outside in the same condition with no meaningful progress made. At that point, I began reassembling the vehicle myself in order to make it safe to drive. Assistance was only provided after escalation. There were additional unnecessary disassemblies as well. A rear fender was removed without any work being performed in that area and had to be reinstalled. The front wheel well and fender components also required reinstallation after correcting the cable routing. The only work authorized outside the primary scope was a review of horn wiring, and that was clearly stated to be at the end of the project only if time and budget allowed. That sequencing was not followed. As a result, I had to: - Remove incorrectly installed wiring - Re terminate 2/0 cable - Source and install proper glands - Correct routing and protection methods - Reassemble vehicle components that were unnecessarily removed The billing totaled $3,080 based on a claim of 18 labor hours. Based on direct observation and documented activity, that billing does not align with the work performed. The vehicle is equipped with a 3 channel parking mode camera, which documents when work was and was not taking place. That record does not support continuous billable labor across the claimed duration. Harry has pointed to experience as a justification. Experience should translate into controlled execution, adherence to scope, and accurate billing. That standard was not met here. Attempts were made to resolve this directly with him. Those efforts were not productive. The outcome is that full payment was made, and additional cost will now be incurred to have the work corrected by another shop. This experience reflects issues with execution, oversight, and billing integrity at the management level. Anyone considering similar work should take that into account.

I had Harry install and manage my rear dash cam wiring, but the job was poorly done. He used zip…read moreties to attach the rear dash cam cable to the gromet where the wiring harness is located for my back lights. The cable was getting pinched when closing the hatch and under where he left the exess. He claimed it's fine for the wire to get wet--which is not correct. The work didn't meet my standards, and the job wasn't worth the $150.00 I paid. When I asked him to fix or undo it, I was told it would cost an additional $75 to undo the work and he told me my employees don't work for free which I found very disrespectful. At the end I had to go to another shop to get the dash cam wiring redone.

I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was a masterclass in disorganization,…read moreindifference, and wasted time. I called a week in advance and told them I'd be coming in Monday morning to get sound deadening installed in the front doors and wheel wells of my station wagon. I even told them I already had the materials. They said "come in at 9." Simple enough. I took time off work and drove from midtown Manhattan all the way to their shop near Fordham University. I arrived at 9am -- their posted opening time -- only to watch the staff stroll in around 9:20. Then I had to wait while they dealt with a customer whose Bluetooth they'd installed incorrectly. When I finally spoke to the manager, I showed him the parts, explained the job, got a quote, and headed back to my office -- another $60 cab ride -- trusting they'd do what they said they could do. Ninety minutes later, they called to say they couldn't remove my tires because they were "on too tight." They didn't have the proper power tool to remove them. A mobile audio shop that can't remove wheels for a job they agreed to do. I asked if they could find a tool somewhere. They couldn't. I asked if they could at least do the front doors -- the part that didn't require touching the wheels. They said no, because they "already had other cars" and mine was now sitting in the street. So I took another $60 Uber back to pick up my untouched car. $120 in transportation, half a day of work lost, and absolutely nothing to show for it. They didn't even bother to do the portion of the job they could have done. I'm sure they have a couple of things they do well, but the devil‑may‑care attitude, the lack of basic tools, and the complete disregard for my time means I won't be returning. If you value professionalism, reliability, or even the slightest respect for your schedule, look elsewhere.

Average Target. Certainly not the 'worst' as others claim…read more While I respect other reviewers' experiences and opinions, whenever I see comments like that I just roll my eyes - trust me, I've been to actual toilet Target locations and in different states to know the difference between a decent Target and a bad one - this one is wonderful compared to some of the garbage locations I've been to. Go to some of them and then say that this one is the 'worst' location - but you won't, because once there, you'll be begging for this Target again. This is an average location - not particularly wonderful, but certainly not terrible. If you frequent Targets enough, you'll know the general layout and stock (with some differences) and it's basically the same here. Some areas needed to be stocked, but it was generally decent and clean. It usually comes down to employees - and while I've seen way worse at other Target locations, most of the ones that I saw here weren't impressive either and maybe 2-3 that I saw probably should be unemployed. There were long lines and very few open registers, so naturally the self checkouts began to accumulate a line, some of which had full carts. As another reviewer stated, self checkouts should be 10 items or less. There should also be an IQ requirement to use self checkouts (but that is everywhere that has them). While I don't expect Target to ever make IQ requirements, at least have more registers open (bigger register space as well) along with making self checkouts become express. There was one employee in the self checkouts and due to the lack of general customer intelligence using self checkouts, he was all over the place but kept his composure. I needed him because for some reason something I scanned wasn't in the system, which was strange on its own. But I can definitely understand what this poor guy was going through. The parking lot is plentiful as far as spots go, but it's poorly designed and I can see it being a headache during a busy time. One of only four Targets in Westchester County currently, so for some I can see how coming here might be a drag, but it's already better than two of them (haven't been to Port Chester in a while) at least - but for upper Westchester residents, this is the only option unless you feel like taking a long drive, go over a bridge, or go to another state. Overall an average Target - far from the 'worst' I've been to. If you go to Targets in general, then you know what to expect here - from terrible employees to the stock and prices. Keep expectations realistic (this IS only Target after all), bring some patience, and you'll be fine.
