Linda (the owner) took advantage of my elderly father. Please use caution ~ she or her dealer friend bought a car that was triple the value over what they paid him. He was in the early stages of dementia ~ if you're buying something from an elderly person I believe it's in everyone's best interest to have a witness. She could never understand why I was so upset. She paid him 8k for a 92 Ford Bronco with 75k miles, it was never out of the garage and in perfect condition. She's a liar and hopefully this never happens again. DO NOT GO THERE - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED Had my car towed there after it just stopped running in the middle of a parking lot a mile away. It cranked fine but would not start. They charged me $100 to tell me it need a whole new distributor for $900. I fixed it myself for $35 for a new cap and rotor only. I think they knew that and just wanted to rip me off. Also when I went to have the car towed out of there because of their outrageous price they left the distributor disconnected. Now the bill is $177 and advised that she needs a new engine and they can't fix it because they only have one mechanic and the extra charge is to hook up a battery to diagnose. Totally crooks. Told me a price on the phone so I took it there because it sounded like a fair price. Then when mike pulled my brakes apart he told me I had A big problem.!was going to be three times the amount. ( typical scam). Also need half down now so he could order parts. I went along with it thinking it would be fixed and could move on. So I paid they price but still not fixed. Now he wants $200 more to diagnose the problem. I went to this shop to get air, the mechanic on duty said to hurry and get air before owner gets hear. As I was putting my own air in tires owner yells at mechanic and says charge that guy $20. When done I went in and paid the female owner. She said I had to pay cash without a receipt, I said no and paid by card! Efficient wait times. I called and asked a time they could fit a smog inspection and oil change in, and the gal said to come on in! I went by 20 minutes later and was greeted but the terrific office manager Linda. She appointed me to the Mechanic/Smog inspector Jon. He was knowledgeable and an automotive wizard of salvation. He informed me of things that needed to be fixed immediately as my breaks were completely worn to the metal. He also filled my tires, changed my oil and gave my car a smog inspection. I have used this place for years for various services, mostly smog and air conditioning. I am somewhat of a gear head and consider myself knowledgeable about cars. They have always fixed things that I couldn't figure out or were over my head. I had always trusted them, as they were family owned and I always got my cars smogged here. Last time I took my Audi for smog I didn't recognize any of the mechanics and the smog tech was a new guy from Bakersfield. My car is 100% stock and has passed smog at this shop at least 3 other times. He was looking up info on another model Audi and refused to believe me when I tried to tell him he was wrong. He failed my car and I will not be returning here. Unfortunate to see a formerly trustworthy business that I used to recommend highly go so bad. Got a smog check coupon in the mail from them ( we live a block away) called ahead and asked "will you honor this?" " SURE" they said, took the car in as it was given to us by my parents from out of state, a lady with long grey hair said " you do not have your notice from DMV, it says on the coupon you have to have it" ( no it does not) I said, well it cannot cost any more to smog an out-of-state car than an instate car. Took my Truck to Kens Automotive to get a smog. I have an aftermarket intake on my truck, that is California legal. I have the C.A.R.B.#, E.O.D.#, and the official sticker right on the intake and the paperwork from the company stating that it is California legal. Well after paying for a full smog, they printed out some strange list claiming it be from the California Air Board, saying that my intake was not on the list and that I need a stock intake to pass smog. Well if that doesn't make sense, listen to this, the tech guy listed it as a failed visual inspection of the PCV valve. What the heck is that? You perform the visual first so that in case there something looks wrong your customer has a chance to get it fixed. You do not continue with the smog if the visual does not pass, and you also do not try to sell me a intake you might have. NOT HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS. Sounds like a mess right? Nope. Took it across the street to Coast Customs, he looked the intake up, perfectly California legal. PCV valve? perfect condition. Smogged and out the door in 20 minutes. Honesty and hard work goes a long way guys, or a short trip to Coast Customs. read more

Do not go here for a smog check especially of your a women!!!! They told me I failed inspection and was going to need a specialty part plus labor totaling $240+ on order to pass smog. I told my husband who was working. He went back to this shop to get information spoke to ken the owner. ken gave him the run around saying he could give him the part name or reason for failure!! A friend recommended this place to me as I had an Engine Light on with a Code saying the Gas Cap was loose. Bought a new gas cap but it didn't go off. I went there explained what was going on and he said he could fix it that day which is highly unusual. In less then an hour he checked the reason for the Code, found the problem and fixed it for a minimal price. He took before and after pictures so I could see what he fixed, sending them to my phone. She told the woman she would bring the coupon when she picked up the car. The woman because emotionally upset. When I drove up the woman was yelling at my wife. My wife was trying to ask her why she was upset when woman went into the office with my wife following her. I caution my wife that we had no idea if the woman had a weapon in the office and in her state of mind what she would do so we got in our cars and got out of there as soon as we could. Brought my vehicle in to diagnose a check engine light. The first hour the technician hadn't touched it, while standing there watching and waiting, he hooked the computer to the car guessing at the selected options rather than using the VIN number. After the second hour, I started to assist him since the mechanic was too busy wasting time. After deducing that the computer was unable to connect to the vehicle, they still charged me full price.
