I have gotten two vehicles from this place. NEVER again. First time I was with a parent so not much involved myself however my parent said they would never go back. Got my most recent vehicle there as my first "Big Girl" purchase with my husband of course. Anyways, we spent a total of 9 hours at this place trying to get everything lined up correctly. They tried financing through "their" banks we told them no because the numbers for credit weren't where we wanted them. Our bank *credit union* gave us our best interest price. Our salesman was like a lost puppy the whole time, kept going back and forth with his bosses I guess trying to crunch numbers and do what they wanted. Which I get, this is a dealership that's your job, whatever. But the professionalism and amount of BS we have been through since purchasing is ridiculous. So we got the car in January everything was finalized then my Temp tags exp date was coming up so I'm like where is my plates? Called and tried our original salesman and never got any updates from him. Fast forward it's a month later after our temp tags are out. I call again. I get ahold of someone in finance who we had a bad experience with from our original day or purchase. He says oh we need some paperwork filled out and we'll get you new temp tags sent. So I'm like ok, well that would have been nice to know. I tell them for like the 10th time my new address because I don't live there anymore. A week goes by and still no mail, I call again, he's busy so he'll call back then today I call again ask for someone who CARES to help because it seems like no one in this business is professional or knows what their doing. I talk with the same finance guy and he says oh they should've been delivered already, he tells me the address. ITS THE WRONG ADDRESS that I've already told them is WRONG for a million times!!! My husband bought a 2018 Chevy Trax. No down payment and a reasonable monthly payment. We were in a pickle and didn't have a lot of options. First of all, they told him it had a small amount of work that needed to be done (like changing a tire and oil or something along those lines), something that shouldn't take long. When he called and asked the service team if it was done, they didn't even know what he was talking about. The car got delivered the next day WITH A BROKEN WINDSHIELD. He called to talk to someone and no one ever called him back about it. It's been less than 2 months and the battery died. We called to see if it was covered by the warranty, and it's not. When he said that he shouldn't have to worry about this less than two months after buying the car, the employee responded with, "Well, a new battery can go out after two months." No- not really. I wish I had known about Yelp reviews before I brought my 2004 Chevy Suburban to this service department. I bought this vehicle from my niece to help her out. I knew it needed a lot of work. My friend was working on it for quite a while and suddenly had a stroke and couldn't finish it or talk at all. I took it to Auto Nation East because I figured they would have all the knowledge about Chevys. I told them my friend couldn't get the check engine light to go off and told me about several things that needed to be fixed. I repeated all this to the girl at the front taking the information. She typed on the computer and repeated back to me what I said. then she told me they had a special on tires, buy 3 and get one free. I knew my other niece had a chevy with the same size tires and needed at least 2 tires, so I told the girl I wanted to keep my tires. She said yes they would take care of the tires. This was the 26th of November. She said they would let me know something after they ran the diagnostics. After a month and several repairs costing $4453.61, I was told they still couldn't get the check engine light to go off. I talked to the mechanic then. He said they couldn't do the front end alignment because I needed new control arms. since they couldn't get the check engine light to go off, he said that means I need a new engine. I'm 77 years old and disabled . I still have a few working brain cells though and told them I would be there to pick up my vehicle in a few minutes. When I got there I asked the girl if my tires were in the back. She said yes,yes, everything is done like the papers I showed you. I left with an empty wallet and a sinking feeling. I drove it home. It wasn't making any unusual noises. I was afraid to drive it with bad controller arms, so I asked another friend if he could replace them and wait for payment. he got it jacked up and looked . He said there was nothing wrong with the controller arms. I made an appointment to get a front end alignment. Later on my Niece asked me about the tires. I told her they should be in the back of the Suburban. What do you know? No tires. I called the service department to complain. The girl that took the order answered and told me they didn't have my tires. They were picked up already. I asked what they were going to do about it. She said. I told you they are gone. If they were good, why did you buy new tires? I called the woman she said was her supervisor and got the same answer, and was asked again why I bought new tires if my tires were good. The people here were all very nice and professional, and very very helpful. If I was able to give zero stars I would have. They have had my vehicle over 2 months and every time we show up to pick it up more issues arise. When we ask about the issues all we get is ''I don't know'' from multiple people. When we call to check or ask after not hearing anything for weeks all we get is an ''I don't know, I'll call you back'' and then they never call back. In addition, they tried to make us pay over 600 dollars for parts that were supposedly new and had already been replaced. The general manager also personally promised us he would meet us to hand us the keys and let us take the car because it's finally 'done' and he cancelled after making us wait in the parking lot for him for over 2 hours. Awful experience. Bought a car in December and we were promised an extra key fob and they told us the oil had just been changed. Not only were we not given an extra fob after months of complaints, the oil had not been changed and the car had 1/4 tank of gas when they gave us the keys. After ONE car wash we noticed both sides of the hood had been repainted poorly and chunks of white paint came off the car leaving the metal showing underneath. Both sides of missing paint were about 2 inches across and over a foot long! All they can about is making the transaction then you are on your own after that. Lazy employees. I had my 2020 2500 HD pickup in for service at Auto nation east AmAriola location. I specifically told them that the 4x4 low would not engage water pump was out parking break needed serviced and a new belt. So if your reading this and have common since you know that when a belt breaks it won't run the alternator that keeps the battery charged I was told that I needed a new battery that cost me $338.00 due to the current one being dead. i asked them if they would charge it and they told me no. i explained that the belt was broke and the pickup would still run it just wouldn't charge the battery. I also told them about the other problems I was having. I got a call from Chance in the service department saying my truck was done. I went a week later and piced my truck up. I ask if everything was fixed and they assured me it was. I asked what they found wrong with the parking break and 4x4 low. This is comical they said it was due to a low voltage lmfao I get in my truck and have all the same problems with a. new $338 dollar battery. I DONT RECOMMEND DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. if you have problems with your vehicle go some where else cause they won't fix the problem just clear codes and go on. I called the dealership at 3:30pm to inquire about a 2016 Chevy Camaro they had on the lot, I informed the salesman I live in OKC and it would be a 3hr 30min drive for me to get there and I wanted to confirm they had the car as I would be purchasing it today. I am pre approved through my bank and would be handing them a check to purchase the car. The sales man stated he needed to speak to his manager to confirm they would be open late enough as they close at 7pm, even though the website states they close at 8pm. 30 mins later and no answer and just so happens they can not find the original sales man I was speaking to. The new sales man again states they will be closing at 7pm and he will need to speak to the manager, I then waited on hold for him to come back and say we will not stay late and I would have to get there earlier. Well I live in OKC I can not just magically teleport to get there sooner. He then asked when my next day off was as "I get off to late to make it there before they close." I asked them to hold the car for me as I am pre approved and will be purchasing this car. I was informed they can not hold the car and i would have to wait and see if the car sells. Horrible customer service they would literally have to take my money and hand me the keys and they could not stay a few mins late to work with me. I would give this dealership no stars if I could. I brought my new lifted 2018 Silverado in for it's second oil change and a tire rotation. Brought it in on a Saturday morning trying to beat the rush. I get there, and waited for my vehicle. It wasn't busy but still took almost 2 hours, ridiculous but worth it if they did quality work. I travel for work so the location I was at is 1.5 hours away, but once again if they do quality work it's worth the drive. So I started my drive back, I make it just outside of Canyon before my trucks rear end slams to the ground. I slide off into the median and my co worker jumps out of my truck and chases down my rear tire before it goes into on coming traffic. I immediately call the dealership to let them know that their technician forgot to tighten my lug nuts and my wheel fell off. They called for a tow truck to come pick us up. We get to the shop, I meet the service manager and service writer. I vented my anger out on both of them while their GM just stood in the back and didn't say a word to me. They gave me a rental and ensured me that my truck would be put back together 100% how it was. They call a week later telling me my truck was finished, I drove all the way back Friday evening to pick it up. It was getting late so I didn't do a walk around of the truck, even though I should have. I was driving back and every time I hit my brakes (no exaggeration) it sounded like a semi engaging their air brakes. So the next morning (Saturday) I woke up early to take it back. But before I left I did a walk around of my truck to see if their was anything else wrong, sure enough their was. They ordered the wrong rim for my truck, my rims are a gloss black, they ordered a matt black rim. And one of my shocks still had damage to it, never replaced it. So I arrive back, show them a video of what my brakes are doing and pointed out my rim. I didn't say anything about the shock, I wanted to see if they would actually do their job. I get a call after a few days saying my truck is ready, I drive back in, to once again be disappointed. Instead of ordering the correct rim and putting it on my truck, they took it over to their body shop and had it painted. But they only painted the front face of my rim and not the entire thing. I also checked my rear shock to see if it was replaced, it was not. I had to treat the service manager like a little kid and squat behind my truck and ask "what did you guys forget?" It literally took a second for her to see the damage remaining, it was in clear sight. As I stood I noticed about a 4 inch vertical dent in the top of my tailgate that wasn't there before, so they hit it or backed into something while it was in their possession. I was heated, they said they will remove the dent and paint it. At this point I was over having to deal with the continuous mistakes and negligence to my vehicle, so I reached out to a lawyer. I contacted the dealership, basically I told them the next time you call me telling me my truck is ready to go, their better not be any more mistakes, or I'll be taking legal action. A week later I happen to be in the Amarillo area for work and stopped by to see the progress. The service manager came out to see if I noticed anything wrong with my truck since they were "about to call me because it was finished." I test drove it, it drove fine but cosmetically their body shop messed it up again. I had over spray all over my tailgate latch and drops of white paint on my $1k bed cover. The service manager tried licking a micro fiber cloth and scrubbing it off then trying and convince me it was rubbing compound. I use to do body work, so I know the difference between the two. Told her to remove the over spray and the paint drips and I think you'll have everything. They deliver my truck back to me a few days after, everything looked good. I have had my truck back for a few weeks now and noticed that when I put my truck in reverse and make a sharp turn, my rear axle binds up as if it's in 4WD. I also noticed that the paint on my emblems (tailgate) was flaking off. My emblems were blacked out, but not with paint but with plasti dip to protect them. But their should have been no reason to change out my emblems if the supposedly repaired the dent that they made. Instead they just replaced the entire tailgate and sprayed my emblems with cheap spray paint. I emailed the service manager about my issues, and now legal action is being implemented. Unless you want your vehicle worked on by incompetent technicians and managers that don't care about your property, I would strongly advise you to NOT bring your vehicle here. read more

I am dissapointed in the service I received at Autonation Chevrolet.My wife and I purchased a previously owned Lincoln Navigator in November. The vehicle had a cracked windshield and during the test drive, the check air suspension light came on twice. The salesman informed us of the ninety day warranty that was issued to buyers on every used car sale and that it would be repaired at no charge to us. Since I live over 100 miles form the dealership, a service date was set for about a week later so that the check air suspension light and windshield could be repaired/replaced. When I picked up the car on that day the windshield had been replaced but nobody was there who could work on the vehicle to repair the air suspension issue. Another sservice appointment was made and I made another trip to Amarillo. This time nobody was there who could work on the car and parts were ordered. I had to shedule another service appointment and make another trip to Amarillo. I left it with them at that time and they kept it for about 1 week. By this time we had noticed that there was back firing and hesitation when accelerating and that the parking assist alarms sounded continuously when driving in rain. When I picked up the vehicle, I was once again told That the technician skilled in working on this make of vehicle had not been able to work on it and needed to make another service appointment. I attempted for two weeks to set up a service appointment with no success or return phone calls and finally made calls of complaint to the used car sales dept and service dept. I was contacted shortly thereafter by both departments and a service appointment was set for mid January prior to the expiration of the 90 day warranty. By this time we had noticed a severe shudder when braking at highway speed and asked for that to be checked out as well as the passenger seat not fully adjusting.. This time I had to remind the service advisor that she had told me of the part originally ordered to repair the air suspension warning light. The car remained in Amarillo for a month while Autonation and another dealership worked on the vehicle. I picked up the vehicle in mid February and drove it home. The check air suspension light still comes on , the car still hesitates and pops on hard acceleration, the car still shudders when braking at highhway speeds, the park assist warning still sounds continuously (i was told that the only way to fix this was to turn the park assist off), and the passenger seat will still not adjust fully.. I do realize that Autonation is a Chevrolet dealership and probably does a good job in servicing and repairing new and used Chevrolets. Took my Solstice in because it was downshifting very hard. They called me and said it needed a new water thermostat and temperature sensor. It was going to cost a little over a Thousand dollars. I voiced my concern that the water thermostat had nothing to do with the transmission. They told me that the engine was over heating and that was causing the problem. I told them to do it but if it did not repair the problem I wanted my money back. They did the repairs and told me it was ready. I picked it up and before I even go out of town with it that day it was downshifting hard again. I took it back and told them I was very unhappy and would like my money back. They called me a couple of days later to tell me that the transmission communication module was bad and the part was discontinued. I asked for my money back which I did not receive and they didn't even want to try and help me get my car repaired. I did some research online about the hard down shifting. There were several Solstice owners that stated they had the same problem and it was the intake and exhaust cam phasers. I ordered them online for under 50 dollars and installed them myself. I have driven the car for a couple of weeks and have not had one problem with the transmission shifting hard. They took my money, lied to me twice about what my problem was and then I repaired it myself. They are glorified parts changers and its costing customers a lot of money. I would not recommend them to repair your bicycle. They are not honest people. read more

She had notified us that she had a particular car in stock and made a few arrangements for us to see the vehicle online. I made an appointment with them to do an inspection on my car and after inspection they decided to offer me $200 for the vehicle, which is absolutely ridiculous. in May of 2022 we test drove a used Chevy truck. On the test drive it was shaking so bad I didn't know if we would make it back to the dealership. We were told it was just the tires, they were bigger and wider than factory and had spacers so the tires went out past the side of the truck and that just makes a rough ride. After several back and forths they agreed to give us an 800 dollar credit to buy new tires. We were told about thier amazing 90 day warranty and we also bought extended warranty (I'm sure a big mistake)! Before we made the first payment the radiator was leaking and the radio would beep and switch screens without being touched and the wireless phone charger never worked. We finally got an appointment and by then the transmission was slipping and jerking and not shifting until over 5000 RPM's!!! They are well into week 3 of having the truck in the shop and not one single thing has been fixed. They claimed for a week they were waiting on a radiator...I called the parts department and found out it was there and had been there(she didn't say how long). I call the service manager Gordy who I was supposed to be calling me after the parts lady straightened out the deal with the radiator. He told me it wasn't in yet...WRONG GORDY, it's there I talked to the parts department earlier! I have called and left messages several daily for the last week and a half...I have yet to have 1 person return my call. Autonation has got to be the crappiest dealership I have ever dealt with. The quality of their used vehicles is poor to say the least but their customer service ENDS when those papers are signed!! I'll update ya'll if I ever see my truck again. Purchased Silverado vehicle from lot in 2020. The sales man first time meeting was nice, every time after that the guy was in a hurry and angry. I ended up agreeing to a price which was texted to my phone. I signed up to purchase the vehicle through my work which had programs etc for discounts. That is what prompted me to their dealership in the first place. I was going to pay all at once with a check the salesman refuted "I wont make any money" he talked me into getting a loan with them which I did I put half the cost down. On the day of signing he jacked the price up more than 500.00 than the text quote. I brought this to his attention and he got mad and and said its only 500.00. I was like whatever I purchased the vehicle but next the lady in the finance part got mad because I wouldn't take another upsale, even more awkwardness. I finally got the vehicle and left. Got a text from salesman who had me come back a couple days later to sign some paperwork about my discount. This was like the manager. He just pointed at what he wanted me to sign but would not let me see what I was signing. I did see though the manager cheated Chevy by saying they sold the vehicle at a lower price so they manipulated the paperwork for more commissions for Amarillo Autonation. Wow is all I can say the worst experience ever. Every person I dealt with was angry, greedy, and crooked. It's a bummer we cant just purchase from the actual Chevy manufacturer instead of dealing with this awkward and horrible experience. Autonation is slimy. read more

My car left with more damage done to it than when I arrived. I had them put a new dash in since there was a scratch and the dealership not only put new scratches in the new $2,000.00 dash but also scraped my seats and didn't attach the center part where the vents and screen is. On my way home a screw fell out of the dash as I was driving. Also, the new glovebox was never put in and just laid in my back seat. It never got installed. Management never called me after letting them know and I had to call twice to get them to call me back. I fear my car will never be the same and there will only be more damage done if they work on it again. This is very disappointing since I purchased my car brand new from this dealership. My wife and I stopped by the other Auto Nation, by the Mall, and we could not get anyone to help us, and when we finally got someone to help, we were treated like 3rd class citizens, although we did see the Camaro ZL1 of our dreams!!! So my wife and I decided to go to the Auto Nation off of Osage, and they treated us like Royalty, even allowing us to test drive a Camaro ZL1 that had barely been unloaded off a truck, not once acting like we were out of our price range. Well to make a long story short they helped us get the car of our dreams that was located at the other Auto Nation, and gave a us a great deal!!! Thanks you guys!!! read more

Got a quote on my wife's car online from AutoNation. I revealed on the online assessment that the upper surfaces were sun damaged. I then received a call from a salesman at AutoNation Chevrolet Amarillo the next day to make arrangements to sell the vehicle. I told him two pieces of information on the assessment were incorrect, broken glass and number of miles on the tires, and I fully expected to have the quote reduced accordingly. I also stated that the main problem with the vehicle was the paint. He didn't ask for any details about the paint. We spoke again when I called to confirm our appointment to come in to sell the vehicle. I AGAIN stated that the main problem was the paint job. Again he didn't ask any questions when I said this. We drove 2 hours to the dealership the next day and were then told that the paint was worse than they thought so they were cutting the quote by $3,000. Total bait and switch. They could have asked for more details, pictures, anything and told me they would need to cut the quote and I wouldn't be writing this. I might have even still come to an agreement with them on the price. Instead, they chose to not respect us, our time, or to honor the agreement we had reached before making the trip to their dealership. People like this are why car salesmen and dealerships get a bad reputation. read more

Purchased a used pick-up here a few weeks ago. Soon after, the outside door handles both broke and were pulling out when opening the doors. I contacted my salesman who contacted the service dept. on a Saturday afternoon. I brought my truck into the service dept and was told they had the part in stock. I brought my truck in the following Saturday as we had planned to learn that the handles they had in stock were sold to someone else. Had to wait until the following Saturday to have others ordered for the repair. The repair was completed 2 weeks after finding the original problem. The lady I experienced at the desk was nice but focused elsewhere. I had to ask to have a vehicle inspection along with the repair because the sales staff didn't have one done for the State of Texas at the time of sale. After completing the door handles repair, they forgot to complete the inspection and had to take the truck back again. The door handles work like new now that the repair is finally complete. They did a good job on the repair but it took too much to get the repair done to rate them any higher. I will try another GM/Chevrolet dealership next time. read more

Your used car sells men are living up to their reputation!!! My son bought a car in August 2014 and has had nothing but trouble. The car had trouble days after he bought it. Your service. Department patched it broke down again. They then sent him to a transmission shop and the extended warranty that was sold to him paid to repair the car twice and then cancelled his warranty and now it is June 2014 and I have a piece of crap car that we can't fix. read more

Sales team will not negotiate at all, and would advise avoiding purchase of any vehicle from this place. Brought new car in for service and they refused, extreme prejudice is practiced from the dealership to the adjoining service center. Again, if you're looking for new car or service, look elsewhere, for they do not care. read more

I was driving through on a long road trip. I drove over a railroad track crossing the highway at full highway speed (there were NO reduced speed signs!). It ripped off the bottom of my front bumper. I drove into the service area without an appointment. The guy there was attentive and he and an associate "popped" the part back on, no fuss no muss. In and out in 5 minutes.
