    2015 Ford F150 truck, blue
    Curtis C.

I recently took my Ford F150 to AutoNation Ford in Margate for repairs, and let's just say the experience wasn't exactly smooth sailing. First off, the communication was practically non-existent. I felt like I had signed up for a scavenger hunt just to get an update--except there was no treasure at the end. What should have been a quick fix turned into a week-long stay. By day five, I was starting to wonder if my truck had decided to take a vacation without telling me. A little heads-up on the delay would've gone a long way--at least I could've made other plans (or sent my truck a postcard). And then came the bill. Let's just say when I saw the total, I checked twice to make sure they hadn't accidentally charged me for parts of the Space Shuttle. In the future, my F150 and I will be heading elsewhere. If you value good communication, quick turnarounds, and fair pricing, you might want to keep shopping around too.

When you see bubbling rust, painted over with touch up in 5 places AND bare metal showing? No. There are no excuses for this in auto. According to them, "you aren't looking for a used car." I do acknowledge used cars are not perfect. However, when the 160-point inspection marks there are no paint imperfections, chips, or rust, this is obviously an issue. Sketchy stuff. Lowest quoted trade-in, illogical reasoning, terrible repairs (rust, which will inevitably get worse and rack up a bill), and typical salesman predatory questioning. They don't like you skipping their bait to the point of visible frustration. This is my experience, but ofc you do you. Best of luck to anyone out there looking for cars and extra luck to those who come here. I Regret Buying from Florida Fine Cars - Deceptive and Unprofessional…read more This has been the most frustrating purchase I've ever made. I bought a pickup from Florida Fine Cars and dealt with Philip (salesman), Francisco (finance), and Michael (shop manager) -- and I regret every part of it. Right after I drove the truck off the lot, I noticed the passenger-side wiper blade was broken, and before I could replace it, it scratched the windshield. That should've been checked before delivery -- clearly no proper inspection was done. On the drive home, doing 70-75 mph, the truck lost power, the check engine light came on, and it felt like it was about to stall. I returned to the dealership the next day. Philip wasn't there, so I spoke to Francisco. I explained what happened and asked if I could exchange it -- but everything he showed me was out of my budget. He told me, "We'll take care of it, just let us know if anything else comes up." I pointed out a missing front grill piece and a few other cosmetic issues. He sent me to the front desk where I got a number to schedule with their shop -- but they were booked until the following Monday. They told me to keep the truck and report anything else I noticed. Over the weekend, I washed the truck and that's when I really saw what was wrong. The rims looked cloudy and whitish, the front grill area was a different shade, and there were deep scratches hidden under the heavy dressing they used. It felt like they intentionally covered up flaws. I brought all this to the shop's attention. They kept the truck for nearly a month. When I got it back, they claimed nothing was wrong with the engine. But my scanner had already pulled a cylinder misfire code, which was now just cleared -- not fixed. They literally just reset the check engine light and gave it back to me. I left the truck again after speaking to Michael about the rims. He told me to give him another week and he'd repaint them. I waited -- no call. Left messages -- no response. After three weeks, I finally got him on the phone, and he got defensive, saying they were "busy." I told him how unprofessional that was, and he told me to come in the next day -- said it would be done. I picked up the truck, and after a few washes, the paint started peeling off the rims -- they didn't repaint them. They plastic-dipped them like I wouldn't notice. I messaged Michael again -- no reply. A few weeks later, I hit 70 mph on the highway and the check engine light came on again -- same cylinder misfire. They never fixed it, just hid it long enough to get the truck off the lot. On top of everything, while shopping for insurance, I was told the truck had been in a front-end collision. When I asked Michael, he told me the grill was just repainted because of peeling -- clearly not the full truth. I also realized later that I got talked into extras and add-ons I didn't even need -- and now I'm stuck with a truck full of problems, paying way more than I should have. I feel completely ripped off. They dressed up a problem truck to look good short-term, reset warning codes, and strung me along for weeks with fake promises and zero accountability. They knew exactly what they were doing -- and I trusted them. This whole experience has been nothing but deception. I've been dealing with this for months and I'm still angry and frustrated. If I had known everything beforehand, I would've never bought this truck. Please think twice before buying from Florida Fine Cars. I wouldn't wish this on anyone!!!!

Just a few minutes later I got a text back from Rich who I spoke with for well over an hour regarding the purchase of the car and going over the details of my trade. I was blown away by the professionalism and accuracy of the entire deal from start to finish. This is my 7th exotic purchase over the last few years and the very first one that I actually didn't fly out to look over and meet the dealer. The following day I started Rich up nice and early requesting tons of pictures, videos, documentation, history, previous owners etc. Again without hesitation he got everything I wanted to me in very short order. This was hands down probably one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had with an out of state dealer. To be able to trust someone with a 225k dollar car purchase without ever meeting them is really taking a leap of faith, but what I can say is anyone who is considering purchasing a car from Southeast auto will be very happy. After all the paperwork was done, wire was completed, and details were ironed out came the shipping and waiting game. The shipping company they used got my car from Pompano Beach Florida to central NJ in less than 48hours. When the car arrived and I looked it over for the first time the car was literally brand new, flawless Fully Detailed, and in even better condition than Rich had described to me. To go even a step further I made an appointment with Lambo Paramus just to double check everything and give the car a once over, the dealers report on the car came back perfect. I would highly recommend this dealer to a family member or anyone I know who is looking for a pristine specialty vehicle. Southeast auto is trustworthy, easy going, professional and pays very close attention to detail. Thank you guys again for making this experience great !!

So we found a car outside the area. We paid the have it transported here from another Carmax. We contacted a local GM dealer and found that Carmaxs Equifax reporting (versus Carfax) was incorrect and manufacturer warranty was finished. We also found the CPO on file was never paid for original dealer and thus not in effect. Urgh .... So we reach out after hours by chat to discuss cancelling and to find out the process when they were incorrect. Not to worry, the car was on a test drive and being sold today. Didn't you see the refund pending for delivery you paid ??? What ... So in effect the delivery was paid and funds received. The car was on hold and Carmax allowed another buyer to test drive and buy a unit held for transport. Then they just refund the money and fail to alert via phone and email. Wow ! Now again we were going to cancel and all is well in end. We won't likely ever consider Carmax for a buy in future however. Bad info on cars, poor hold and transport policies, and true lack of empathy around their business model and loopholes. Just another typical car dealer experience !!!

You go to the lot and you spot what car you want to test drive and they will then set you up with the test drive. I guess it's a good system if you don't see anything you like and you don't waste a salesperson time, but I thought that was kind of odd. We walked around for about 15-20 min and did not find anything that caught our eyes. But at least we now know how it works.
