When I get to my vehicle and proceed to drive off I noticed the hood not fully closed. Luckily I noticed before I got out of the parking lot. Did not have a problem with purchasing the truck there. But service is a complete unprofessional shit show. Went back for another job that was covered under warranty. My advisor Ignacio was great. Worst experience ever. The service guy was horrendous Brought car In for three things. He would never return calls. Late second day he called me to get my husbands approval for repair on MY car. I told him I approve for my car !! He was very discriminating. I also left several calls for mgr and never heard back. Come to find out the service guy was calling about someone else's car !!! I finally got a call to get my car -3 days later- not one thing was done. I have an older car, and he says they don't get parts for cars over 10 years old !! I have a FORD. Also he failed to have a bulb changed that I asked for and to correct a leak at window. He said window person wasn't in. No further appt scheduled Nothing !! The gm called me and said he had looked into everything and would be my main contact and would get back to me to help me. HE NEVER called me back. I left messages and never heard back !!! I have had Fords for over 30 years - 4 different models. My husband has a ford too. On his 3 rd one. Never have had such a horrible experience as I have had at this margate location. I have been trying to a reimbursement for repairs. I had done prior to Ford issuing a recall. I've been to this dealership twice all I keep getting is accounting is working on it. Went there a few weeks ago asked to speak to the service manager was told that he was in the body shop. The service advisor that I was speaking to that told me that went into the service manager's office and spoke to him. Service manager wouldn't even come out to acknowledge I was there. Explain to the service writer that nobody has ever called me back and he told me at that time that the service manager would give me a courtesy call ,never heard from anybody. I look at one of the three behind the desk and not one of them can make a decision. He asked who wants to write up an oil change. They all look around and say not me I'm too busy. I can tomorrow. **Dishonest, Irresponsible and can't be trusted** My wife and I went to lease our 7th vehicle from Auto Nation Ford Margate, after receiving a call from Ford to return the lease. We set an appointment to have the leased vehicle inspected to confirm of any return charges. On the inspection day we advised the salesman we would not be purchasing/leasing another vehicle until we have our current vehicle inspected for the lease return cost. The salesman was aware of our concern and had his manager inspect the vehicle; during the inspection waiting period the salesman advised us to look at vehicles for the time being and let him know which ones we like. The salesman provided our vehicle picks to a financial manager who came out immediately to attempt a sale(typical). This must have been the car salesman 1st week because the finance manager was micromanaging the entire situation for a sale and he had no input, thoughts or a voice. The finance manager came out and provided figures for a few vehicles that were extremely high and I advised him no thank you; we don't need a vehicle now since we have 2 months remaining on our lease we just want to know what our current lease return cost will be, that's why we're here. The finance manager came back a few more times with high figure's and again, I said no that's too high but if were going to get a lease it would need to be at this amount ($...) . After a few hours my wife picked a vehicle for the amount we needed to pay. The finance manager came out and said we can get the vehicle for the amount we needed, and they would take care of any cost for wear & tear and the final 2 payments, so everything is looking good. We returned in a few hours to finalize the paperwork and a "new" finance manager came out to discuss the deal. It didn't appear he had all his ducks in a row, since he was going back and forth a few times and he was having laptop issues. He also stated, we have to come back and resign the documents because were signing them prematurely for the deal to kick and since were here to sign them; we had no issues with returning since we live close. During this time he showed a document to sign where he stated, this is the document showing you will not be responsible for any return cost/wear & tear. This document had the no cost where I needed to sign, it had a line through that section, I signed the document based on the prior finance managers statement and the current finance managers statement. TWO WEEKS after we leased the vehicle, we received an invoice for $2,332.53; when I discussed this invoice with them they did not take any responsibility for the invoice and said they never discussed paying wear & tear for the return lease. It became a denial moving forward and then I could barely get a hold of anyone and with Ford Credit calling me daily to make the payment, I needed to pay to avoid my credit from being affected. I will NEVER purchase/lease a vehicle from Ford Auto Nation of Margate again. read more

1.) Oil Change appointment scheduled for 11:30 am, they finished at 2:30 pm. 3 HOURS! 2.) When I got home oil spilled all over my driveway because the drain plug washer was distorted. 3.) When I brought my car back to be fixed they gave me a loaner with less than a quarter tank of gas. This was a few days before an expected hurricane, and the gas lines were an hour long. 4.) It really made my car shopping experience a pleasure. No hassles he was patient he educated me on the type of cars and what they each featured. It was a true pleasure buying a car from him at Ford. I was able to get what I liked at the price I could afford. The finance team was great as well. They went thru all the paperwork with me and answered all my questions. I've been coming here for 3+ years but only because I purchased the maintenance plan from a Ford dealership in North Florida. Every time I come here there seems to be issues. They appear to have a lot of turnover so I've never dealt with the same person twice. In my experience customer service with parts and service/quick lane departments of a dealership is never great but here it's even worse. Everyone I interact with has no concept of customer service. The employees all act like they are over worked and stressed and appear to fall apart with any sight of stress (3 people in line). I'm not sure if the Sales area is any different. Regardless I'll never find out because I'll never buy a car here. There has to be better Ford dealerships and I'm willing to drive further to find out. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! Carless, and dishonest are just a couple words to describe their service/customer service. I told them what I wanted but I'm stuck with something different which no one should've ever gotten. Please read my story below before any thought of buying from here. I found a desirable SUV on Carfax which was there when I checked on a call to schedule an apt. with Margate. It was sadly surprising when it was at another lot when I arrived. So they hassled me to bring it to their location or tell me what lot it was at so they can secure the sale of course. Who knows if they lied, but they sure lied to my face soon enough. The salesman Chris Cavalieri suggested a similar vehicle they had on their lot. It had a loud motor in the test drive but I had good faith as the salesman was very positive about it's condition. Nothing seemed wrong in what we saw in the Carfax/history. Promises were made to top off all the fluids, and change the oil which you will read how they must have not done that for years in the outcome of my experience. They were all talk when it came to my sale, and even asked for more than my budget which I planned for with my originally desired automobile. They mistook my kindness for weakness and I ended up with the other thing on the lot by the end of the day. After 24 hrs, it overheated from a coolant leak!!! I got it to the dealership and asked them for their service. Their response was that a radiator cap was loose. "Nothing serious" they said candidly. I should've turned the keys over to return it for a full refund that very evening I picked it up. Week later, Covid-19 struck and I unfortunately got layed off which didn't help. 6 MONTHS and 3k miles later, guess what? ENGINE BLOWN!!! The lift rod was knocking which ruined the surrounding parts due to bad oil. I called politely to figure something out and was denied and transfered a ton like a hot potato. I was cool at first, but no longer after this terrible experience. I will be $4.5k+ in the dumps after replacing the engine with my trusted family mechanic. read more

This has been the baldest car buying experience I've ever had. Not one time I felt rushed nor pressured into any car or deal. Milton was my car salesman and he never shows any signs that I was bothering him or nothing he was extremely patient with me. I changed my minds a couple of times on which car I wanted but he just worked with me on getting what I wanted and need. Javier the financial manager was also extremely nice. He actually helped me into getting the best rate since I didn't have the best credit but he pulled out a miracle from somewhere. Very disappointed and frustrated. Dropped my 2021 Bronco off for 2 issues 9-11-23. Asked the service helper if this work was covered by premium Bumper to Bumper coverage that i elected when I purchased the vehicle and if a courtesy rental car would be included. I was told that they have had to diagnosis before and get approval for the rental (completely understandable) so they booked a Lyft ride to a place where I rented a car. During the time my Bronco has been in the shop I have not received 1 update from Ford Margate with out me asking for the update (9-14 I requested update, 9-18 update requested , 9-20 update requested) all update requests were replied to but, no proactivity to keep me updated (which previous Ford Service Depts have done). 9-21 I was informed via text that the rental had been approved and my rep was going to update me later in the day....... No update. 9-22 @ 3-3:41pm I am notified that I cannot get the rental from the Enterprise near my house (they do not have an account with them, the location I rented from when this all started) I became extremely frustrated because all these moving pieces on a Friday I would now have to figure out. I demanded to speak to the Manager the rep told me that I had no idea all that he had done to save me money..... Yep saved me money doing his job and honoring a premium policy that I PAID FOR when I purchased the vehicle. He told me that the manager was "busy" and would call me back...... 2 hours later no return call from the manager...... I have purchased many Fords over the course of my life. Go somewhere else. Anywhere! This is, by far, the worst service I have ever experienced on anything. I've never written a negative review about any type of merchant before (or, at least, no other experience had been this bad for me to make an effort to write something about it). But at Autonation Ford Margate there is a whole lot they need to get right. To say that the customer service is poor would imply that there is at least some type of "customer service." In my experience, however, there was none. Zero. Zilch! My car remained at the service center for almost 2 weeks until I finally decided to take it somewhere else to get it repaired. During the course of this painful time, not once did I receive a phone call for an update on my vehicle, a time or price estimate. Getting someone on the phone was an odyssey, and the times I did speak on the phone with my advisor (Brandon) or the manager (Michael), I had to resource to calling the sales department and beg them to put me through the service department manager directly, as their service phone kept going on an endless loop of "dial 1 for this...dial 2 for that..." It was the same as if they did not have any phone at all! I mean, what's the point? Almost always, our phone conversations would not get anything resolved as far as information about getting a loaner, estimate time or price of the repairs. "I'll call you between 9:30 and 10:00," "Give me 15 minutes to figure it out and I'll call you back," "You'll hear from be before the end of the day." All these were things I was told over and over by these 2 gentlemen as days went by. And if you wonder if they followed through as they literally promised, they didn't. Not once! Instead, it was me the one having to call over and over, and go through that inferno loop of their automated phone service. No apologies for not calling back, no manners, no regard for my time. When I was finally "graced" with a loaner, it expired before they could fix my car, and so I called the manager to let him know. He said he would call to extend the time. At this point you would imagine my level of distrust given their lack of reliability, and so the next day I called the rental place to verify if the time of return had been extended. Not to my surprise, it had not. Another phone call to the manager. Another inferno phone loop. When it came down to the repairs, I was first told it was the starter and an oil leak. I asked for an estimate and consented to the repairs (it was, again, I who had to call to inquire about this). They finally replaced the starter. A few days went by and no word from them. Another phone call to the manager. Another "l'll call you back in a few minutes." This time, I made him accountable for it. Over 24 hours later, you guessed it: no phone call. I mean, come on, this is the manager! So, there goes another phone call to him. This time, I refused to hang up before getting a final word on the status of my car. The manager put Brandon, the advisor, on the phone. "Give me a few minutes to figure it out," he said. I waited on the phone. He came back to tell me that they now would have to take the engine out and some other gibberish that would cost me an extra $1,200 or so (I had already consented to the $600+ from the starter replacement, so this engine nonsensical stuff was on top of that). As for the oil leak, this was not mentioned again. Funny, huh? Well, not really. This is when I decided to take my car somewhere else. I paid for the starter, but if I had to do such costly extra repair, I would gladly prefer to give my business and money to someone with better regards for people's time and effort. Someone who appreciates and is grateful for putting my trust and money into their business. This is, clearly, not Autonation Ford Margate. This is not the first time that I take my car to AFM. I live within walking distance from them and so it is convenient. My previous experiences with them had been, for the most part, all mediocre/average, not any better or worse than other dealers I've been to. So, I kept going there for the sake of convenience. But this was the cherry on top of the cake I never wanted. I had never had to escalate a situation to a manager, and I think I'm pretty patient and always give the "benefit of the doubt," but they took advantage of that. And to think I was gonna trade my current vehicle for one of their Jeeps. I guess, I should feel grateful of this awful experience before I jumped to make this other mistake. As it turned out, when I took my car to another service center, they found no leaks or anything else wrong with my vehicle that needed imminent repairing other than an alignment, fuel system cleaning and brake fluid exchange. I read some of the reviews about AFM on here, and there are, clearly, a lot of issues that need to be fixed. A lot! I can't persuade you not to take your vehicle to AFM, but do some research prior to considering it. Good luck! read more

I parked in customer parking, my son & I walked across the front of the dealership to the far rear corner looking for the new F150 Kingranch in the Blue( I looked on their website and know it's in stock) Walked back across and through the showroom to my F250 and left. Not one employee said hello, can I help you. Walked right by the sales desk, not one Manager said a word ? Poor salesmanship! The inside of the dealership looks worse then the outside! The inside looks like romper room with toys scattered and not one vehicle on the showroom floor. Sad, very sad. So this review is a bit late in the making and the reason it is coming in now is I am going in for service soon. Let me preface this by saying some of the issues I have had could have been avoided had I had better due diligence. So I bought a certified preowned vehicle back in nov 2014. Let me first start with the initial sale. I was in the market for a Ford F-150 XLT or better. Getting to the lot a rep immediately made contact and asked what I was looking for. After a brief description he left and returned with about 4 or 5 models that fit the bill. So far so good. I test drove 3 trucks with no problem and everything was going great. So I decided on a certified preowned F-150 Lariat model. Beautiful truck and it drove and looked great. Now through out the process I was told that all the bells and whistles would be shown and explained to me as well as the regular features of the truck. Once back in the show room the financial battle began. It wasn't too bad, in fact the sales manager on duty was defiantly helpful in getting me financed. After they got my money the service went downhill very quickly and I started to notice the problems. First when you buy a 40,000 dollar vehicle you expect to be working with someone who knows the product. The sales rep told me he didn't know the ford line very well. How is he going to tell me about the truck when he knows less than I do. So now I am sitting there with th options sheet not knowing what is on my truck and what is not. I am still learning things to this day. The next and bigger issue is I bought the preowned because it was supposed to be certified. Well at the first service visit, which was supposed to be helped scheduled by them and wasn't, I am told that I need to buy 4 new tries. So I just bought a 40,000 dollar truck that needs another 1000 dollars in tires not even 3 months later. In the same vein after the second oil change I leave the lot and my truck just wont turn on after I stop at the gas station down the road. So in less than a year I have a battery that's completely dead and wont even charge and tires that needed to be replaced right away. All on a certified preowned. I own that I should have demand a better sales rep and that I should have made sure that everything was up to par before I purchased the vehicle. I guess I was just naïve about the situation. That being said with my wife being in the market for a vehicle I will not be coming here to purchase that vehicle. read more

I purchased an F-150 King Ranch which had to be brought in from a dealership in Central Florida, so I had to wait 24 hours for the delivery. I needed a truck to deliver something for my business the same day I made the purchase. They loaned me a brand new King Ranch to use until my own arrived! DON'T TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR SERVICE, WORST PLACE TO GO. I have a 2020 Expedition and took it there twice for service. Never got anything done cause they said my car would sit there for three days before it gets looked at. I asked if I can bring it back when they're ready to look at my car and they said no it has to sit here for three days. My warranty covers a rental and everything that could go wrong with the car except wear and tear parts and usual maintenance. They just giving me run around answers. I ended up taking my FORD to Chevy both times, Chevy was more honest and sincere with there service. Chevy said "hey we're a little busy now but if you bring it in the morning we'll have someone look at it and give you a diagnostic, and put you in a rental if it's gonna take a few days". Ford's service makes me regret buying a Ford, the fact that I have to go to Chevy for better and quicker service kinda sucks. read more

Was close to Autonation and they took my car into the service department and replaced the bolts in 15 minutes and I was on my way and they didn't even charge me!! A picture is worth a thousand words, I was going to take a picture of my middle finger! This place sucked when it was Mullinax, when it was referred to as Maroone, and it STILL sucks as Autonation. My car is 3 yrs old, been operating my a/c the same way for those 3 yrs, and when I inquire about the system not cooling like it used to, this moronic 'service writer' tells me it's because I'm using my a/c settings the correct way. Really asshole?! So how exactly was it working fine for the first 3 yrs? Best part is, it's an 'automatic' a/c system, set the temp and go on about your day. Guy is SO stupid he isn't aware that if your car is 90 degrees inside and you set your auto-temp to 73, 63, or even 53, the a/c will NOT blow any colder because it's already blowing on MAX COOL to get the air below 90. Your house is the sane way, max cool is exactly that, MAX, until your preset temp is achieved there is no colder air than MAX!! And, they'll need the car overnight to even check into a tire issue. Overnight for rough idle during startup or a/c problem? Uh, ok, plausible, but for TIRE issue?! COURTESY UPDATE: Pardon the delay, forgot to 'Post', after an initial huge runaround EXCEPT for Rinaldo (Oil Change Dept.) I went to speak with the GM, Mike Eagle, who immediately stepped up to the plate to resolve my concerns. Mike took a look at the car, agreed & understood the cause of the damage, walked me over to the gent who details the cars (awesome dude), instructs him to buff out the damage. Guy buffs it out VERY nicely (no perm damage!), and HE winds up being REALLY cool! I'll be having him detail my cars from now on. I go back to Mike to let him know how pleased I was with his handling of the situation and this is why an update is warranted, the GM Mike REALLY took this situation seriously and stopped his morning to address my concerns to the fullest! Honestly, a complete 180 degrees from the BS 2 hours earlier. So much so that his sincerity and efforts warrant a revisit to the dealership to clarify my previous experience as anecdotal or indicative of what to expect. He even called over to Rinaldo to tell him my next oil change is no charge. IF this dealership is being run in a take-charge customer service direction that the GM Mike Eagle is taking it, then he may sway into being his best advertisement, and possibly a trade-up to a new F150! Mike gives me his card and tells me to call him if I ever need anything. Class act handling by the GM. Ya know, I SHOULD call him, just to give him a chance to put me into an F150, he's sure earned the opportunity. Going to leave my initial review to put into context the GM's stellar handling of my unfortunate experience. Bottom line, with this GM at the helm, and with his no BS approach, this could turn around quite nicely as long as they follow his lead. Thank you Mike! read more

I then reached out to Autonation via Facebook and had multiple chats with them over the past week and after multiple promises of "someone will be in contact with you" I have yet to receive a phone call. Since I purchased a $70k truck and am unable to get it fixed, I will be contacting my attorney so he can arrange a return. There is no report when they entered my car of having a bad clutch as there was no bad clutch and upon picking it up the car doesn't drive properly now. I recently moved down from Cleveland to South Florida. On the way down, we had some issues with the alternator and, as one of my first orders of business in town, I knew it had to be replaced. Back in Cleveland I was serviced by a great AutoNation dealer, and so I looked up the local branch expecting the same great service. Boy, was I wrong. First, I told them when I brought the vehicle in I needed a new alternator. They charged me $100 to "figure out" what was wrong, which it turned out was a bad alternator. Money down the drain... Second, they told me I needed a new battery, although I had the battery replaced 2 months before... They seemed suspect but I was still trusting... Then, they give me a $650 quote to replace my entire cooling system. They said the T-stat housing was leaking and would cause the whole system to be replaced. I declined the service initially, since I had just moved across the country and was a little short on cash. Luckily I didn't get the system replaced, as I brought the vehicle to the Goodyear service garage in Boca Raton a few months later, and they said there was absolutely no problem with the cooling system, and the T-stat housing was the first thing they checked. In conclusion, these guys are a bunch of scammers. I have never had someone take such advantage of my money, time, and business in my entire life.
