I recently needed to replace the 12V battery on my Tesla Model S and came across AutoNation Mobile Service during a Google search. Their site seemed professional, and I was encouraged when I could enter my vehicle's year, make, model, and VIN. Shortly after, I received a service estimate and a scheduled appointment window of 8 AM to 1 PM. I entered my credit card info and received confirmation. That's where the professionalism ended. The morning of the appointment, I received a text stating the technician was loading up and would arrive shortly. Then... nothing. The entire 8-1 window came and went with no technician, no phone call, no explanation. Eventually, a text arrived simply rescheduling my appointment to 1-6 PM--again, with no explanation or discussion. I called in and spoke to a very polite representative, but it was clear she was reading from a script. She assured me the tech was running late but would definitely be there by 2:30-3:00 PM. I reluctantly agreed, but expressed my frustration about the lack of communication. Then, around 4-5 PM, I get a text canceling my appointment altogether, stating they don't work on Teslas. Seriously? They had my VIN, make, and model from the start. Their website claims they service Teslas. They provided an estimate for a Tesla. They confirmed the service. And only after wasting my entire day, without a car, do they suddenly decide they don't work on Teslas? Lied and said he battery wasn't available when you can buy them at Tesla all day, every day and all over the internet. This experience was a complete failure of basic customer service. No transparency, no accountability, and clearly no internal communication. If you value your time or need a reliable mobile service, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. The do not care that they waste you time. If I could give them zero stars that is more than they deserve. read more

I get in it and it's dirty. like wow. salesman said he would fill up gas tank again and get it detailed. I take it in. nope. Just washed and wiped down. it's a Benz. guess that was my mistake buying through them. was told my oil changes would be free. yeah they are not so don't believe that! went back a week in a half ago and another manager "promised " I'd get my lp by Wednesday. apparently a loan on the car hadn't been paid off and so the bank had the title and that it got paid off and they were never sent the title. like seriously.. I'm so unhappy with my purchase and the lack of service I received. Lewisville, TX, not Dallas. May 6th, had a tech come out to repair my water pump. Gave me a quote that included what he said was four hours of labor. He did not work for four hours on my car. 2 and a half, tops. He arrived at 9:58, I have the text. He was done by 12:28. Two and a half on the nose. But I'm still charged for four+. THEN!!!! HE finishes, says it's all good, gives it a green check on car health, no issues. May 7th, I go to my local oil change place for an oil change. Sir? Did you know you have a branch THROUGH your radiator? Yeah, about 8 inches long and half an inch thick. Completely through. No leaks, yet, but yes, branch through the whole damn thing. Please, I would REALLY like to know how a tech who's out to repair a water pump because of an overheating issue doesn't check the radiator? I mean he was checking fluid levels, did he not once peek to see if there's a leak in the radiator? Not even a glance?? A quick perusal? Nothing? Thank goodness I have experience replacing radiators, this is a job I can do myself. I wouldn't pay AutoNation another ***damn dime. One random Saturday, my car drove to Torchy's just fine, but on the way home, it revved but wouldn't speed up. I was put in touch with RepairSmith, and honestly, I don't think I'll ever go to another place if I can help it. Josh came out and diagnosed my high-pressure fuel pump as being kaput, so we scheduled a follow up date and time. Through no fault of anyone's my repair was delayed (my part was at the dealership and my repair was on a Sunday), but Josh adjusted things and came out Tuesday afternoon. An hour later, my car was purring like the 4 cylinder spitfire she is. Josh made sure to check the codes again and we took her around the block to really make sure all was well, and it was. I cannot recommend RS enough. It was a simple process with literally the bare minimum of effort on may part, and my car is up and running about a week after the original visit. And Josh is a great tech and a great guy. It's a Catch-22 because I look forward to never needing RepairSmith again. ;) read more

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE avoid this company like the plague. I had an overheating issue with my truck, the guy came out and diagnosed it as a thermostat issue and didn't fix it properly and it failed just a few months down the road all while still having the same overheating issue. They went ahead and charged me full price for a failed repair and a misdiagnosis leaving me with a thermostat issue and the same issue I called them in the first place about. Then they tack on a bunch of charges if it turns out the original mechanics misdiagnosis is wrong. Currently I'm in the process of having the vehicle warrantied by them but will continue to update as things move and change. Update Dec-29-2022 The truck was out of commission for 5 days, the mechanic I dealt with earlier did not screw my radiator hose tight enough and didn't fully tighten my thermostat housing bolts on correctly. I had to be the one to fix my truck. The warranty check was scheduled for 4-6pm but I got a text at noon saying the mechanic was on his way to my house. I called up the chain of command trying to reach any and everybody and they were away from their desks. It's been over an hour now and I still haven't received anything from them. Please don't risk your time and money with this company, reaching out to them to work on my truck has been the biggest mistake and I can only hope my experience with this company is seen by others so they don't have this happen to them. read more

Mr. Lewis the repairman deserves a triple Christmas bonus!! I bought a 2006 BMW X5 SUV from a "Cash Only" dealer. Their paperwork repeatedly emphasized the fact that all vehicles were 'as is' with no warranty. However it would've been nice if I could have gone at least a month without having to fix something. I got about 24 hours. Didn't drive past the driveway. While cleaning the car's interior I let the windows down...and they wouldn't go back up. 30 degrees in December and the two front windows won't come back up? No, I'm not having it. I can't even remember how I found RepairSmith but I was just happy to find a mobile repair place that came to my home. A neighbor who also has this type of car advised me that I needed a window regulator. Mr. Lewis arrived 10 minutes early on Tuesday Dec. 20 and worked for four hours, keeping in touch with his supervisor. He came back the next day with an extra regulator, because - 2 non working windows = 2 regulators! Mr. Lewis was at my home from approximately 9:30 in the morning on Wed., Dec. 21 to 7 pm, installing window regulators, undoing previous bad repair work that someone else had done and re-doing what "Cash Car Ricky" should have done all along - making sure the entire vehicle worked. Mr. Lewis listened to, and answered all 50-11 questions I had WHILE he worked on the car. Mr. Lewis is a saint. I'll recommend RepairSmith to anyone! read more

I worked with Josh on a squeeking brake issue. He looked over everything and let me know my options. I appriciated his honesty that my brakes did not need replacement, and that I could probably fix the noise for free myself by doing a hard brake or two. While he was looking over the car, he said everything looked great, but due to my milage, I should replace the spark plugs if they hadn't yet (125k miles). I agreed, and he gave me upfront and very fair pricing. He showed me the old spark plugs after replacement, and they sure did look worn out. Initially scheduled to have an inspection done on my car due to a check engine light that was on. The first visit I scheduled, they were supposed to come out on a Sunday between 8 and 1. I received a text stating they had to cancel that appointment at around 11 and could make it between 1 and 6. First inconvenience. I then rescheduled to my next off day. The guy came and completed the inspection. He then proceeded to tell me nothing was wrong with my car. The only thing he came up with was that my airfilter was put in wrong. I paid him $75 for him to tell me that. The check engine light went off for an hour and came right back on. I called, and some incompetent person who barely spoke English answered the phone. I asked him multiple questions, and he couldn't give me any answers. He proceeded to tell me that I would have to book another inspection and pay for that one. He gave me no reason other than something else may be wrong with my car. If so, wasn't he supposed to catch that the first time? He took my information and told me someone would follow up with me. It's been 2 weeks, and my check engine light is still on. I shouldn't have trusted this place. IT IS A SCAM! CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE! I was better off jist taking it to the dealership and paying extra. Now car is leaking more than ever. essentially threw away $1,000 on two hoses that got replaced (online each $75). every time they come a new issue with my coolant system arise and I get charged another "warrant inspection fee" of $175. wouldn't recommend unless absolutely have too. horrible company! don't make the same mistake i did please. Mechanic came saturday but didn't have all of the parts so he came sunday but still didn't have everything he needed so he left & came back 2 hours later then after the job was almost complete he needed another part that he didn't have but didn't feel like driving to go get it so he came out monday to finish the job. finally finished the job monday and told me everything was good & that i could drive the car, got in the car to drive to work & the car overheated after only 10 minutes. i was stuck & had to pay my own tow to get the car towed back home. called customer service & all they could do was schedule me someone to come out the next day.
