Horrible place wouldn't recommend to no one. I was called twice to change prices 300 to 640 so decided to take my car else where. Took to other shop and was told this shop damage my car and replace original screw. Called the owner send pictures and let him know what he did. He admitted of cracking the knuckle and losing the original screw but said he wasn't gonna pay for the damage of my car and only the screw. Unprofessional to damage a customer property and not pay for it. Now gonna waste more money for the damage he did. read more

This will be my new main mechanic!!! Reasonable prices, honest work and friendly service. I needed to know why my battery would hold a charge. Called to see if they had any openings to check out the issue. Took my car there @ 12:33p.m. and it was ready for pickup by 3:15p.m. The main cord to my battery wasn't connected properly, causing my battery to not charge. Simple issue, but when your don't know what the issue is it can be stressful. I appreciate the gentlemen at Reuben's for their hard work and honesty. read more

So my girl's car had an issue with the battery cables last year & we found Ruben's & brought the car here. They had it fixed that afternoon before closing. I found this place on the recommendation of one of the pastors at our church. If you didn't know where to look, you'll never find it. It's tucked away just off Belt Line Road by the by the Yucatan Beach Club. Keep driving past the Yucatan, and then bear to the right. It's got a big G above one of his doors, no name signage. I moved to Coppell in September '11 and my 95 Saturn's check engine light came on. Ruben had me swing by one day, and read the codes for free. Then he made a couple of quick calls to get prices on the parts. I needed a new EGR valve, and one of the coolant sensors had gone south. He quoted me $220 for parts, and $220 for labor. Sounded good to me, I replaced the EGR in '09 in California for $400. Imagine my surprise when I picked the car up, and the tab was only $351 and change. I was fully prepared to be happy as long as the bill was under $500, so I was thrilled with the low price! The check engine light is off!! He was able to repair the coolant sensor without replacing it, and passed the savings on to me. The pastor and I aren't his only customers... his two bay shop is full, with cars on the outside that are also being/waiting for service. The phone number is his cell, not the shop. If you like doing business with an honest Christian businessman, then you should check Ruben out. The car was ready on time, and under budget...how can you top that?? By the way, I did ask Coppell Tire and Auto for a quote as well, they said $479...so Ruben's in the same ballpark with those guys...and they're great! read more

Needed to have AC repaired in an FJ Cruiser. Had the Toyota dealer diagnose it as the Evaporator coil needed to be replaced and gave me a staggering quote as this is a very labor intensive job (1-2 full days as dash has to be completely removed to access evaporator). Took it to Ruben's and spoke with owner, Martin. After a couple of hours, he called me to tell me it was the evaporator coil and it would take a couple of days but his quote was WELL under the dealership quote. His guys did a phenomenal job, Martin was friendly, honest and explained everything thoroughly. I could not give a better recommendation. My go-to repair shop from now on. read more

My car was suddenly not starting. I thought it might be the battery and ended up replacing it. Then the problem happened again and I needed an answer quickly. I had the vehicle towed to Ruben's Auto Repair. I called to check on it right before they closed and he hadn't had a chance to look at it, that didn't bother me. I understand. He called me back 5 minutes later and told me the key fob battery was dead ‍ I felt pretty silly, but I was glad for the quick fix. I picked up the car first thing in the morning and he told me it was $60.... personally I thought was taking advantage. I need some routine maintenance done now and I'll be choosing another shop. read more

OK, first off, I'm only giving four stars only because I have only been there once! That aside, Martin was awesome! I told him about my son just moving to GP and being a teacher and needing his car fixed without being gouged and paying for things not needed. He jumped right on the issue and within minutes found that we had gotten a bad alternator from the auto parts place with the big O' on it, (hey, sometimes you get a dud from all of them not just these guys). He made a quick phone call, told them to hold the part and had the "new" alternator off and ready for us to take less than a mile down the street to be exchanged. Came back within minutes and he quickly had it back on and car was ready to go! $80 was a good price for peace of mind that my son will now have a good shop to take any problems to. Martin also gave us some free pork rinds from the Macs factory down the way,(seems like the Macs guys appreciate his work too)! Try this place, it might be busy, but that means he has people that trust him and you can too! Thanks Martin, my son is 26 and can take care of his own stuff but they are always your kids, it sure makes my life easier knowing you're close if I cant make it. read more

They did my 2018 Yukon A/C with refrigerant 1234 and it turned out awesome. I had a leaking condenser and they repaired it and vacuumed and recharged my system. Awesome price as well. This is a very expensive system to work on and they were the cheapest around. I will definitely come back for future repairs!!! read more

I finally found my favorite local auto repair place! I took my car to Ruben's after Christian Brothers in Bedford quoted me $900 to fix my idler pulley bolt, apparently it was broken off in the mount. They told me they needed to remove the alternator and the axle (yikes). Luckily I called around, and found Ruben's! Martin (who is awesome!) answered the phone and instantly knew what I was talking about. Told me they could take care of me no problem. In only one day they had my car repaired and for less than a 1/4 of what I was originally quoted by Christian Brothers (and no need to remove the axle). As long as I live in the DFW metroplex, I will never take my car anywhere else again. read more
