Very frustrating and nonexistent aftersales service, I would not recommend this company. My salesperson, Kirsten was more interested in letting me know that her personal life was far more important than a client's legitimate complaints and concerns. My woes started literally leaving the dealership with my 2015 Range Rover Evoque and driving home navigating busy 5 pm traffic, not even 3 miles out and the fuel light comes on. On the highway with my new vehicle and International Motor Productions cannot even give the standard thank you for your purchase - a full tank of gas. Another couple of miles the car's breaks start squeaking, approximately a 1 mile from home ( After a 23-mile drive to collect the vehicle) it starts raining the automatic windscreen wipers turn on and one of the wiper blades is missing! I arrive home with an empty vehicle, squeaking breaks, and a scratched windscreen! For the windscreen, they did assist me but told me there is no issue with the breaks and that they do not squeak. Fast forward to almost exactly 1 month later - My service light comes on after Kirsten had told me the car had just been serviced, a further 2 days later my tire pressure light comes on, I pop into Discount Tire, I ask them to check all my tires and make sure they're all ok. They measured my tires and I was told a maximum of 1 month left of safe tread so now I am in for 2 new front tires. ( Just for reference here, I walked around the car and looked at the measurements and they showed me on the chart what my measurements meant.) I emailed Kirsten explaining what was going on, this email was ignored, 2 weeks later, I sent a follow-up and 2 texts. Email ignored and over text I was told she would look at this but she was so busy and the only person in the office, home life was also very busy! I spoke to John and he came across as less than interested in my issues and told me that Discount Tire just wants to sell me tires ( Even though I saw the measurements and proof.) This kind of service is not what one expects I have never received this kind of service from any dealership, if you are going to nickel and dime your clients on every turn you don't deserve them! One never expects that within 1 month of a new vehicle purchase that this is what you're sold Issues No complimentary Full tank of gas - Even if supposedly you are not allowed to store a vehicle with more than a ¼ tank of fuel. You surely would fill up on the day of collection or let the client know this fact ( A common courtesy, or give them a fuel voucher! ) Missing windscreen blade - Vehicle was not checked before handover Cleaning - this vehicle was not given the once over and readied for collection Breaks squeaking - I was told they are not and there is nothing wrong with them! ( They still squeak ) 2 front tires have less than 1 month's safe tread left The service indicator light has come on - I was told to take it in for an oil change. Suffice to say, I won't be back nor recommend them, an awful experience! read more

This place has some bad reviews, so I was a little hesitant to car shop here. I bought my last three vehicles from Sewell, because I like to be treated well, and I have high expectations. The inventory at International Motor Sports lured me in, so I took a chance, and I am SO HAPPY about it! My mom and I showed up unannounced and Kristin immediately greeted us in a warm and friendly manner and the experience just got better and better. I ended up buying a Toyota FJ from them because I felt so good about the transaction. The terms of the sale were clearly stated up front so I knew exactly what I would be expecting. Flawless transaction, communication during and over a month after the sale has been super responsive, the vehicle was deemed in incredible condition by a separate Toyota dealer, and priced fairly. We had the best experience buying a car at International Motor Productions! Kristin began our deal virtually, as we flew in from out of state to buy a truck. She was so thorough, sending us detailed walk-a-round videos of the car, answering any and all questions we had promptly, and got our paperwork to us before we even left our home! Once we got to the dealership, owner John and his associate Justin were just as enthusiastic and helpful as she was. We did a final check of the vehicle, drove around, and then finished it off and were on our way in under a half hour! Here are a few points of frustration: 1) We had an agreement that because they wouldn't replace the worn tires (one was unsafely patched, per a tire company), we would buy the tires and they would install them. Bill later went back on his word and didn't honor the agreement. We now have to spend additional money having tires installed. 2) A week into owning the car, we noticed a knocking sound coming from under the driver's side floor AND water leaking onto the floor mats on both sides. (UPDATE: Our SUV now smells like mold after wet floors soaked in hot sun in the summer.) Thanks, Bill and International Motor Productions! Love that my 2-year-old has to sit in a car that smells like mold. 3) He seemed like he genuinely cared (talks of church and very caring towards our baby), but I guess at the end of the day he's still a car salesman that put us in an unsafe car to get a buck. Don't know how you guys sleep at night. Buyer--and especially parents--beware. UPDATE: When we were deciding on whether or not to buy the Audi Q7 from Bill, we asked for the CarFax. All clear--or so Bill told us. We never compared the VIN on the piece of paper he showed us to the VIN on the Q7...we were totally wrong for trusting him. I was on the hunt to purchase my 3rd FJ Cruiser. Bill initially helped me through email but was busy when I arrived so John the owner helped Bill out by taking me on a test drive. He was honest that the FJ had come from up north and though was in great condition, the exhaust needed to be replaced and that he'd be doing that for the purchaser. As promised, when I bought the vehicle, they not only fixed that but I realized after I drove off that the back up camera wasn't working and they replaced that. John is a very honest and just all around nice guy. But I found that to be the case with everyone there. The finance guy, Justin has been there I think 14 years and is just a down to earth guy. My husband and I went to purchase a BMW Z4. The car is beautiful and greatly priced. Our sales person Tom was so nice, didn't put any pressure on us, we walked around the lot, and he was close by if we need any help or information. Our experience was just fabulous. I had a problem with the radiator and the hoses 3 days after buying it. The reps where more than accomodating in helping me to get it to a certified mechanic, since I bought a warranty, I didn't have to pay anything and International Motors paid the excess amount the warranty didn't covered. We recommended this place to some friends and they were over there the following week. Justin the finance guy was also great and easy to work with. My girlfriend and I drove an hour and a half to this dealership to look at a vehicle that had already been sold. My girlfriend had spoken with a lady named Kristen about trading in her Jeep renegade in for a Jeep Wrangler. Kristen knew we were coming in and even confirmed it through an email. It wasn't until we got to the dealership that we were informed the Jeep had been sold. No call, no text, no email. If you're prepared to swim with the sharks and don't need handholding to buy a car, they're actually pretty good here. They've got a good selection and great prices, but you are totally on your own, and you will have to do all due diligence, mechanical inspections, carfaxes, etc. It's a low pressure sales environment where you are free to browse in peace, although they'll try to hard sell their godawful warranty a thousand times once you actually get the purchase process started. They absolutely refuse to bargain up and down the line even a little bit until you've left and stayed away for a day or two, and even then it's variable. You can get a good car here for a great price, but bear in mind you are 100% responsible for it, your hand isn't going to get held, and any problems you have with it will be your problems, so make sure that is really the specific and individual car you want, warts and all. I will come to International Motors again next time I'm car shopping. I actually like the owner, Bridget, she's a great saleswoman and I'm sure a competent business owner...but she is a shark. As long as you can live with that, I recommend checking this place out, because they get some great deals. read more

My husband and I stopped at International Motor Productions without actually looking up their inventory online first nor researched about their reputation. We were just actually driving around the area headed to a different dealership but my husband asked me if I want to check them out since it's almost right in front of us so might as well. Upon entering the warehouse Kristin greeted us promptly. We looked at some of their vehicles, found some candidates that day but we have decided to check the other dealerships first before deciding. Kristin asked our preferences and told us that she'll keep in touch with us which I think is good specially if you are a busy person and in a certain timeframe. I am a little bit picky, and I really do my research specially when it comes to big investments like this and sure asked a lot of questions and Kristin never fails to answer all those and even did her own research for me and this is even before telling them that we are going to purchase one of their vehicle which again is good because i know whether or not you are buying from them, they will answer your question or any doubts you have and that I know they make time to all customer whether or not you are buying from them. When my husband and I finally decided to get a vehicle from them, of course, I asked for the vehicle history and all that after the test drive. Kristin provided me the Carfax only which most of the local dealers has as well and nothing else so that's understandable. But like what I've said I did my own research on the vehicle's VIN already beforehand and just want to make sure if I got the same thing or if they have more information. Found some issues about the record but it was answered accordingly. Now to the financing part, we usually go to our credit union but for some reason, they said they can't help us finance the vehicle because of the dealership and that they only work with bigger dealerships which I didn't know that not all financial institution can finance and work with all dealerships which make sense. So my heart fell a little bit, we were in a certain timeframe and my husband and I are so exhausted already. We decided to go back to International Motor Productions and told them what happened. Justin, introduced by Kristin from their financing and warranty department helped us get financing. While he was doing all this for us, our credit union actually called me back and told me that they can now work with the dealership. So we had to go back there at credit union but ending up they can only offer shorter term. So we had to go back again to Justin and get us financed if not the same but for almost the same rate our credit union is offering us for longer term. Process was quick compared to what we have experienced from our credit union that afternoon. Our credit union actually send me an email stating they will now be okay with longer term the next day which we specifically told them we want to close the deal that Friday afternoon and not the next day nor Monday. We did add the exclusionary warranty and GAP with our purchase thru Justin as well. Yes it is expensive but at least there's peace of mind. Hopefully if something happens this warranty and GAP actually pays but we trust them and they told us if we need anything or have any question just call or text them. Kristin actually just followed up with me on how the vehicle is doing after couple of days from the date of purchase. So far so good but we will see. MY VERDICT: * We will be coming back to this dealership *Customer service is excellent and above *Financing is fast *Pricing is fair TIP TO USED VEHICLE BUYERS IN GENERAL: *Most dealership will only provide you Carfax and probably nothing or else you are ready to pay for it *Do your own research, if you find something you don't like about the vehicle history either ask the dealer or just don't buy it. You can use www.nhtsa.gov for checking recalls too or other sites where you can find the vehicle history aside from Carfax. *Financing rates will always be different according to each individual's situation. How much money you can put for down payment, what's your income and debt to income ratio, credit score, loan terms, etc. *Since we are buying used vehicle, most of these are sold "as-is" so better inspect everything first, do your research and not just test drive it for 10 minutes. It is recommended to add vehicle warranty if possible specially if the vehicle has high mileage and a little bit old already but make sure to read all fine prints and coverage because it might just end up worthless to you. read more

I have never in my 54 years of living been ripped off to this magnitude. I guess I have to fault myself to be somewhat trusting. I would never think that a business could be so criminally minded. It is no doubt in my mind that they knew the car they sold me had a cracked water pump, faulty thermostat, broken LED signal light on the side mirror, missing trunk mats, inoperable key. The cost of the repairs were over $2000... this is two days after pulling off the lot. When I first the vehicle I asked them about the spill under the vehicle in the lot, they told me it was from another car that had been parked there. ..silly me... So, I took it for a test ride and the air condition was not cooling well. They stated it was due to the freon being low and they stated they would recharged it. ... It then seemed to be cooling. Before I even got home the air conditioner had already stopped working. however, this was after that had me sign a thousand documents saying I was accepting the car "as is". So, I took the car to the local Mercedes Dealer the next day and they gave me the truth on the vehicle. I went back to International Motors the following week, not to complain ( because I already knew I had been screwed) but just to pick up my license plates. They wouldn't even look me in the eye. The guilt on the salesman's face was clear as day. He handed me the plates so fast and ran off like he had seen a ghost. (the salesman was Jesse Allejandro) Unfortunately, I did not do my due diligence on this business. Now, as I look at reviews in the BBB, Google, Yelp and everywhere, I am reading story after story on the unethical practices and lack of professional of this business. I went looking for a car for my fiancé a few months ago. We went to international motor productions because they had a few nice vehicles in out price range, One in particular was a 2006 VW tourag. We test drove it and liked ant and after haggling a little we agreed to buy it. Well the following day we called out salesman Alex and told him we were on our way but had to pick up the cash as they required cash only. When we got there another salesman was putting the plate on it and Alex told us it was sold to someone else by accident meanwhile he let it slip that the other purchaser was a dealer and they were paying the full asking price not the lower price we had haggled. Anyway we bought another car instead but it was missing parts so Alex filled out a we owe slip and said he would order the part. Almost 2 months later no plates no part. We called were told we could get plates next day ...we get there and they have wrong address on title and say we made the mistake. My fiancé was upset and the mgr gets up and pushes her out of the office telling her they need to step outside. Scared we both just leave. Till this day no call about the missing parts they owe us. Stay away from this place. the car they sold us was very clean but has all sorts of issues they patched up just to sell the car. I saw a lot of bad reviews which almost stopped me from going to this dealership at all. I ended up purchasing a Volvo station wagon from them. I think the challenge individuals face is they think of this as a regular dealer which they are not. This is a wholesale experience and buyers should manage their expectations accordingly. If you want a traditional purchasing experience go to a normal dealer and pay actual market value for a car. They were extremely courteous to me. I left to look at other cars, they said if I wanted to take a test drive just to let them know so they could get the car out of the warehouse. I ended up going back and taking the car to a local European Autohaus where my previous Volvo had been serviced which Bill, the salesman, said was fine. We discovered some minor issues. Left front strut is leaking, headlight out, brake pads and service due. Even the mechanic said that considering the price of the car he'd still buy it if it were him and that for him nothing he found would have been a dealbreaker. The mechanic did discover what they thought to be minor body work but said it seemed to be well done. When digging out the paperwork Bill yanked out an invoice and said "yep, looks like we did the work." Wasn't a big deal for me. Just seemed like a case of them not going to check their records in advance to discuss the car with me. After completing the purchase and being walked out, I mentioned in passing that my mother's check engine light had come on while we were car shopping and Bill ran back inside, came out and pulled the code for us. His sale was done, he didn't have to or need to do that for us. Word to the wise, the C.A.R.S. warranty is very finicky about what they will cover and the process in which damages have to be investigated. They don't cover the teardown of any part to discover the origin of failure, which they require in advance in order to make their determination of whether the claim will be paid. I did my research, extensively, and elected not to purchase the warranty. I bought a nice volvo wagon for $8000 (which is about $2500 below fair market value) that I've already had checked out and has no major issues. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because they had the info available about the body work and didn't know about it. Also, all regular maintenance needs to be done. I recently purchased a Volvo XC90 here. John and Justin were the only two people that I dealt with. John was very knowledgable and helpful. I already knew what I wanted to look at from looking online so the layout did not bother me at all (it is set up as a warehouse). I had done some research on what the price of the vehicle should be and their price was just below what the internet research showed that it should be and I was already comfortable with price when I arrived. The process was fast and painless. I walked in around 10AM and out around 12PM...two hours. There was an issue with the vehicle after I purchased, but John rectified it. I found the customer service to be great. The most important thing that I can suggest is to not expect a "traditional" car buying experience. They will not push you into a car and sell you on it, they will not hound you and they will not hold your hand through it. They take what you tell them you want and do their best to make it happen. Would I buy another used vehicle here? Yes. Would I recommend them to a friend looking for a used vehicle? Yes. My advice to them would be the same as to everyone; Do your research before you go, know what you are looking for, know what you want to pay and be open to different car buying experience than you are probably used to. I purchased a 2010 Audi A3 2.0T Quattro Sportback with 70k on Thursday, the next day the check engine light came on and it started leaking oil. The car ran great and was very clean (oil leak was cleaned prior to my inspection and test Drive). Three codes were in the system, the most important code was P2187, bank 1 too lean at idle. I am working with a VW specialty shop to diagnose and fix this issue. The oil leak was diagnosed as a rear main seal which requires 9 hours of labor to repair. The tires were below State requirements for safety but was inspected by their licensed state inspector the day before. I was able to negotiate a larger trade in on my mint condition Infiniti to compensate for the two rear tires that needed to be replaced, a total of $130.00 to cover two new tires. I ended up having to replace all 4 due to separation on the front two. I found a tpms sensor in the glove box that was not installed in one of the tires due to a missing gasket. There was a service engine light on for scheduled maintenance, the dealership did not have the proper equipment to reset this light, despite having a large amount of vehicles that require Vag-com for obd2 connection and services. As for the sales and office staff, our sales person was very nice and had great communication throughout the process but was off on the day we drove up from Austin to purchase the vehicle. We were directed to another employee to close the sale. During this process the office manger/co-owner became involved when the tires were brought up. She did not agree that they should have to pay for tires on a car they were trying to sell. She kept giving my prices on tires so I could purchase them, I had to make it very clear that I was not going to purchase this vehicle unless the tire issue was resolved. This lady is just flat out rude, we got to hear her talk down to one of the other employees, very disrespectful. The owner became involved at this point. He looked over my trade in and was satisfied with the condition and offered me the $130.00 credit for tires, I agreed because I can purchase tires wholesale at good prices. I appreciated his time and his willingness to work with me. During our conversion I notice a scan tool on his desk, this is used to read and erase any trouble codes from a vehicle. That should have been a warning sign. I signed all paperwork and left happy customer, until the next day. I called to speak with the owner about my troubles with the vehicle, Bill our sales person answered, he listened, offered no apology and told me he'd have the owner call me back, that never happened. I called again and Bill said he would remind the owner to call, I waited, no call. This is an unethical business, that's the bottom line. I have purchased 2 vehicles at International Motors in the last 2 years and my experience was positive. They were very helpful in helping me get into the right cars at a fair price. I appreciate going to a car dealer that is no pressure, helpful, considerate, and is not slimy. Their warranties I've purchased have been great with no hidden terms. I have used it once and my mechanic said it was a clean experience for him as well. Tom & John at International Motors went above and beyond to help me when I purchased the car, and the other guys there are great too. When going there, expect to not be hassled, but DO remember you are buying a car AS-IS. Don't expect to go in and offer a low price; their cars are quality and the prices are fair enough. To those who have left less than positive comments: your expectations aren't completely in line with the business model of this car dealership. You'd probably be better off somewhere else anyway. I thought these guys took great care of us. Not much to say on the negative side. Felt more like I was buying something at a department store. Nobody bugged us while we shopped and we were allowed to make all our own decisions. Sounds to me like these other customers just didn't know what they were doing.
