A reputable mobile locksmith service. I bought a vehicle recently and it came with two different keys. One key opened the doors and the other key was for the ignition switch. I prefer just one key when possible. The local locksmith shop closed in Mount Clemens, so I needed to hunt the area for locksmith service. I called a company and explained what I needed, and also needed repair to a door lock, because the key would not work in it. They could help if I removed the door lock and brought it in. I was not able to do so, and they recommended Autosmart as a mobile solution. I asked about things, like reputation and rates and such. They assured me that Autosmart was an honest and trusted business. I called and set up an appointment. The day turned out to be rather nasty weather wise, but they stopped by my house and got to work. They rekeyed the ignition switch to match the doors, then removed the damaged door lock and repaired it. I also requested spare keys, and they worked fine. The cost was reasonable for the service rendered. I am a satisfied customer. I highly recommend this reputable locksmith company. read more

I had occasion to engage the services of this business today. I purchased a used Mercury Milan that came with only one key. So what happens if it breaks or gets lost? S O L, right? So after much research I found a place that delivered a key for much less than the dealer. Then I looked around for who could program it. I found Autosmart. I called Kyle and he met me with his truck in the parking lot of a mutually convenient location. Got right to work and had the key programmed in just a few minutes and it worked beautifully. He even had a recommendation for the remote starter that did not work - just checked it out for me, getting under the dash and everything, something he didn't have to do but just did it. I will pursue that recommendation. He is a busy guy and is accommodating, knows what he's doing and far less expensive than the dealer. I didn't even ask for the $5 discount that is available if you ask for it. I was just so damn happy to get a second key. read more

Called AutoSmart when my garage door opener broke to inquire about a ballpark price to have a lock installed on the door. The person who took my call was extremely helpful and quoted prices but then actually told me that it was likely that the door already had a lock and that it was merely disengaged when the garage door opener was installed. After some quick instruction I found this to be the case and minutes after hanging up was able to get the manual lock working again. I actually felt bad that they were able to help so much and I didn't even get a chance to do any actual business with them!
