Fair enough, easy fix. Instead, they chopped it off on the passenger side. About a day later, the noise was back. I crawled under the car and could see the drivers side was doing the same. I took a screwdriver and bent the shield out of the way and noise never returned. I'm just baffled that they didn't know how to fix the issue easily or without a less destructive way. Tells me they didn't test drive it or really diagnose the issue to begin with.

This place was recommended, and I am so glad I stopped in. I called ahead of time, and asked if there was a time when they could take a look and assess the car. The worker was friendly and asked me some questions, and then said he would follow up with a call before any work was started. A few hours later, he called me and reviewed what needed to be done. In this case, it was time for new brakes and a hose had a crack in it. He gave me a fair quote (which I approved through my dad) and said he could work on it and get me back on the road. I was happy with the entire experience, as I really felt they did a good job, had great service and I could see they are proud of the work they do.
