Took a 85 Toyota in for smog. Knowing the problem we had last time, Steve took on getting it to pass. Yes he had a major problem. Countless trips to the smog station he uses and finally after 2 weeks he succeeded. Because of his efforts we get to use this truck that we have owned since 95. Steve's bill did not indicate how much time he spent tuning the truck or the smog station trips. We left a substantial tip to show our appreciation. We are in no hurry for his services but when we have a problem with the truck or our Prius, He is the man. read more

I was recommended by someone named J---- to go to this business to get a vehicle diagnosed. Someone greeted me and I told him J--- sent me and said to ask for a diagnosis and that J---- was going to do the work. He said,"so oh he wants me to do the diagnosis and for him to do the work? I'm good", and he walks away from me. He went to work on a vehicle and a moment later I walked to where he was and I said,"so you're just gonna walk away from me? I don't know what kind of relationship you guys have". He said," We don't have any relationship." I told him I didn't know what was going on but this is what I was told. He told me it would be $45 to diagnose and I said that it would be fine. Just tell me that. He continues to give me bad vibes, won't speak, and he's obviously angry so I told him I wasn't the one that sent me over here with this information so he it didn't require him to be rude to me and then I told him to F-off. They are priced fairly, and they fully explain to you any work that's been done. I hired Auto Sport II to install a new horn/turn signal switch in my 1978 British car. They completed the job and called me to report my car was ready for pick up. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was shocked! The new horn/ turn signal switch was butted up against the steering wheel, preventing me from even turning the steering wheel! They told me it was probably a defective switch. So. I ordered another brand new stitch and brought it to Auto Sport II for installation. The mechanic said, "Get your car and get the heck out of here! I don't like working on cars this old!" His boss backed him up!!! I asked his boss to order him to please fix my car as originally scheduled. He just laughed and said he couldn't force him to repair my car!! I've since hired another mechanic and he successfully installed my new switch and told me that Auto Sport II definitely installed the switch wrong the first time and didn't reposition the steering wheel properly. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN FOR SERVICE AFTER THEY TREATED ME SO DISRESPECTFULLY AND DID AN INCOMPETENT REPAIR ON MY CAR! read more

These guys are wonderful. The owner was a big help to me in helping me read my codes when my car was messed up. His employee sent me to a really good tire shop for a wheel alignment because they don't handle Volvos. The owner listened, were patient, and gave me good advice, The sad part is I cannot use this shop because I have a Volvo, although I would give them all my business if I could. I sent a close friend to Autosport II. He was pleased and they gave him a fair price. I was referred to Steve by the manager from O'Reillys about 2 months ago. I went and met Steve and from the start he was just a down to earth person. I had Steve to replace my front rotors and brake pads. Yesterday I went back to him due to grinding sounds. My rear brakes and drums were bad. Being new to the area, I was a tad uneasy in taking my old '91 Jeep to someone totally new. Recommended by a friend, I ended up here. The previous mechanic retired and Steve Cardosa took over this car shop known as Auto Sport II. I took my van to diagnose a knocking noise. Steve stated it was the catalytic converter. I was told to just keep driving till it absolutely got worse. I was told it would be safe to drive. The knocking noise got worse and I decided to take the car to another mechanic who stated that it was a cracked flexplate. This was replaced and the knocking stopped. I was told my catalytic converter was fine. I also took another car there due to it shaking. One spark plug was replaced and a coil. The shaking returned within a month. I did not have the car to have Auto Sport check it. Another mechanic worked on it and stated the one spark plug that was replaced was the wrong size and the coil was never replaced. I went back to Steve to let him know all this and I was told that the coil was replaced and that he showed the coil to me. I was never shown the coil. I also talked to him about tbe diagnosis of the catalytic converter. All he stated is that he was not a liar and stood by what he did. There was no effort to investigate. Two cars and two incidents. I don't write these things. I wanted to let him be aware so maybe he would reassure that the work is being done correctly. You be the judge. read more

I've taken 3 of my cars here and haven't had any problems until recently, could be stress due to circumstances we can't control, however Steve did some work on my truck and 3 weeks later the part he fixed broke again.. I asked him if he could order the part and he stated he wasn't going to pay for it... so I said ok can we go half? He stated absolutely not you need to leave now... mind you I'm trying to make a deal for the shitty repair job.. he told me I shouldn't have ordered cheap Japanese parts, well why didn't he say that from the gate? On a recommendation from a good friend of mine we took our standby car, a '78 Monte Carlo, which hadn't received all the TLC it deserved for some time, to Autosport ll. They went through it completely, gave us the not too bad news, and we gave them permission to take care of her.
