Five stars to the workers at this O'Reillys that helped me use tools when I needed to change my battery ... Zero stars to this company for selling me a $99 battery that didn't last four months ! Not sure why you'd even sell a battery that couldn't last one year . IF POSSIBLE ... NEVER BUY THE CHEAP BATTERY !!! This cheap battery had a bad cell in it that went bad after four months in return it kept burning up alternators to try to put back the power that it wasn't capable of holding ! Even O'Reilly's computer stated that it was an alternator problem . (View pic) If your battery has a bad cell in it, it will say it's the alternator, but you can't get a proper reading of the whole electrical system if the battery is bad ... hope this helps just one somebody thank God. My mechanic is a man of integrity and changed out the alternator four times since November 2025. read more

Noticed a battery light on my car a few days ago when I knew the battery wasn't that old and my alternator had been recently replaced so my husband suggested I swing by with my dad before I made the big trek back home to SoCal. Located on Springs Road right by the corner gas station, Exxon. Went inside and was quickly assisted by an employee. I think his name was Kevin (sorry I'm terrible with remembering names). He met me outside with one of his scanners and immediately set things up to test. After getting a clear with my battery, he asked if I wanted to get the alternator checked anyway, to just start the car. Also a clear. Top of the top worst O'Reilly. I had to deal with some girl named Yvette who just wasn't interested in doing her job. I came in for a refund for a $300 car part. I explained how I I ordered online and bought one in store due to DoorDash not coming until next morning when I paid extra for it to come 8 pm last night. She found both transactions and still said she needed a manager and there was no store manager in that day. (I had to call another store prior to calling them back in order to check if I can return at any location and that store said yes and Yvette was lying about being able to return to their store.) I exit the building and call and boom suddenly there IS a store manager named Cesar. He had excuses up and down for Yvette not being able to help me and even when I got in the store he kept trying to give more excuses but I know the girl just didn't care to help a customer...next. I don't know how that girl still has a job. After much trouble of driving and a lot of back and forth...got my refund. Definitely worst service in a minute;it's just downright inconvenient and inconsiderate. read more

Two days ago my car stopped turning on, this was due to a dead battery. I went tonight to find some wiring for my VW Golf fog lights. The young guy who wasn't busy singing to.d me to look on isle 4. I looked at their wares but struggled to find anything useful. During my looking all the staff up front were singing to some rap song giggling and doing anything but customer service. Another customer who came in (who was young) got immediate attention so the other singer helper walked him over to the isle I was on and stood in front of me to help this guy without excusing himself for basically pushing me out of the way. This is in regards to one specific employee of this particular store. I have bought stuff from different car part stores, never had a problem. This particular young man helped me this past Monday with some parts for my daughter's car. He had a foul attitude, but I didn't give it a second thought. Yesterday I returned a core and I was unfortunate to have him help me again. He asked me questions like I was disturbing him, like it was my fault that he has to work. He snapped at me, maybe because I asked him to help me retrieve the item from my car; having had surgery 2 months prior I'm not about to hurt myself. After he made the necessary adjustments he goes and tells me the part was purchased at another store, but still an O'Reilly...was told I could return it at any store. Same sour look on his face. Once finished there wasn't a thank you or anything from him. Is it because I'm a woman? Or is it because you had to help with carrying the returned item? Either way, he needs to realize that he's in customer service and needs to change the way he treats the customers. OH and the gentlemen he helped before he was super friendly to and also the man after me. Coincidence? THEFT ALERT! Employee at this store switches parts! I guess because I am a female, he'd figure to get away with it and he did! This jack-wagon of an employee sold me a fuel filter and brake pads. He had to get them from the back where customers aren't allowed. While doing so, this poor excuse of a human being switched my fuel filter-from a new one to a used one. Then he sold it to me. Like an idiot, I trusted him and the store and didn't check to make sure I was getting what I paid for. NEVER again. The little turd should be fired then brought up on theft charges. I have a friend who was servicing my car and he'd already purchased the parts. S So, I took the items, along with my receipt back to the store. I have never been so embarrased in my life that I recall. The gal who waited on me was friendly, prompt and helpful, as all the employees usually are. Of course, when returning an item the boxes should be opened and examined. Well, I sure as hell got the surprise of the year when she opened the box! I couldn't believe what was in the fuel box. A used, who knows what brand, fuel filter. Furthermore, I looked like the ass of the century. Not to mention I'm out the damn money, being on a fixed income it really hurt. And not for one minute is this great gal going to believe me. I wanted to cry. I wouldn't have taken my word for it and returned my money either. I was beyond humiliated. I do a small amount of business there and have never had anything like this happen in the past. Anyway, I needed something vehicle related a few days later and went back. Guess who waited on me. Not only that, he rememberd me. Wow. He should. He's probably making a bit of bucks on the side with his switch gig. I told him I was aware of what he did and he damn well better not do it again or I'd be sure to get even my way. He stammered and attempted to apologize. Big deal butt nugget. Quite the enterprise you've got going on. Couple bucks here, a couple there. You can bet from now on I will open every box, bag, jug and container from now on because of one rotten apple. I understand wanting to close down and go home, but you should NEVER lock the doors before the actual closing time. We had an emergency and needed coolant, we knew we were playing it risky because closing time was nearing, but we did make it a few minutes early. I needed one of the most basic bolts, for a flexplate on a 1970 Chevy C20, 5.7 litre. They didn't know that the C in the model meant it was two wheel drive, they didn't know the 20 in the model number indicated it was a 3/4 ton, they didn't comprehend this engine was NOT the original and was considered a small block Chevy, they didn't know ARP is a company that manufactures fasteners for mechanical work, they didn't know what a Scat crank was, they didn't know what a crank was !!!! The store associate (I didn't get his name) asked if he could assist, looked up my options for a 26" wiper, and placed the parts on hold at this store in Vallejo where I live. When I arrived at this store, they cheerfully retrieved my parts and installed them on the spot. That was an unexpected, yet delightful end to this trip.
