In the beginning my son was constantly looking at Autotrek to buy a used vehicle and wanted to buy from them. In the end Shawn the auto consultant he worked with deceived him by telling him he would hold the car my son wanted and when we got to Autotrek which took an hour, was told someone else put a deposit down and we were second in line!! Never once did Shawn tell my son he needed a deposit to hold the car and never did he call or email my son to say he did not get the car after taking all our financial information for the second in line spot! What kind of customer service is that!! So make sure you get all the details on what HOLD means before driving out to this place. There Auto Consultants need to be trained on how the process works obviously!!! BE WARE!! is all I have to say, very bad experience!! Let me start this off by saying the salesman I worked with was a good guy. The sales manager, the service department/techs, they are not and be prepared to get screwed if you're not willing to hire a lawyer. These guys sold me a vehicle that had an issue with the drivetrain and it was under warranty, long story short they wouldn't fix it and tried to turn around and pin it on me which I'm not going to get into it but I can tell you it had nothing to do with me and everything to do with the previous owner and what the vehicle was used for. In the end I got my vehicle back after 2 weeks and they fixed nothing, claimed they did but guess what? They didn't, as well as damaging my vehicle, tagging the bumper and denting it because whoever drove it wasn't capable of driving a massive truck, and they would not buy parts to replace the ones that they broke or even try and work with me at all. And let me add that in the time i was there multiple people had showed up with cars theyd bought that were having problems, and that was everytime I was there. I know used car dealers are shady, but I was hoping since this dealer was in a nicer area perhaps it'd be different, but it wasn't. Shady business practices and they don't stand by the vehicles they sell and will do whatever they can to deny it and avoid shelling out the money to fix them. Definitely reconsider buy vehicles from these guys, if the deals too good to be true it very well might be. read more

I am disappointed in their service. I bought a car on Dec. 23rd. In a week I went through emissions and saw an advisory regarding a check engine light. In 3 weeks I learned that I had a problem with two catalytic converters - costing $1100 dollars. I was told it was not covered by their limited warranty. If I had known , I would not have purchased the car for over $8,000. read more

Had a great experience with Shawn until we had the vehicle we were interested inspected. It came back needing almost 2500 in work. Tie rods had play leading to uneven tire wear, gaskets were leaking, steering rack needed replacement. Shawn said he would see what he could do. Instead of doing anything, he gave us some complete crap story about how his mechanic said tie rod play after 40k is normal, which I confirmed with Toyota is not true, and that the gaskets were seeping not leaking which he also claimed is normal. They basically tried to convince us that it was all normal and didn't need any repair. Mind you, tie rod goes out, you lose steering. Glad the life of my toddler and the baby I'm pregnant with is less important than a sale. I'll be reporting their business to the bbb for giving customers dangerous information to try and save a buck. And we passed. Don't buy the 2006 Sienna unless they repair everything it needs... read more

You may end up with a lemon. They go out of their way to deceive you on the condition of some of their cars. I highly recommend not doing business with them but if you do, make sure to spend the money to have an independent mechanic look at the car. They have a 'Certification' process that is absolutely fraudulent. Their legal team is in on it as well. They hand you a 'Certified' check sheet but then do not reference it on the contract that says they are selling the car "As-Is" which nullifies their commitment that the car is certified. This is a very tricky legal way for them to lie to you and get away with it. I know all this because I took them to court and found out the hard way. BE CAREFUL dealing with this company. They pay the BBB very well to bury bad info. read more

I was referred to Autotrek through my credit union. I was really excited about the prospect of working with Autotrek to help me find a used car. I had already done a ton of work/research and given my contact there a detailed description of exactly what I was looking for including my budget. It takes my contact there weeks to respond to emails and her only helpful suggestion so far has been to "increase my budget". I will be providing this feedback to my bank and likely discontinuing my service with Autotrek. She also admittedly cant remember "which Emily I am" since she is working with "two of them" right now, which is super unprofessional and does not make me feel like she is paying attention to my account at all. It seems like other people have had more positive interactions with Autotrek, so maybe it is just the agent I was placed with. Based on this experience, however, I would not recommend them. read more

My experience at Auto Trek left me thoroughly impressed! My consultant Brain Ege was incredible when it came to getting everything I wanted out of buying my first car. He was very patient with me when finding the right color and interior combination. He even arranged a trade between dealers to ensure I got the exact car I wanted. He made me aware of all the packages for the car as well as, all the accessories. Brian was great because on the day I came to pick up my car he showed me every button and lever, and took the time to explain the whole car front to back. I never felt rushed or pressured. I purchased my first car through Autotrek. I am very disappointed in the service, and vehicle I received. It was important for me to go through this process on my own as a first time car buyer. I let Jose know that I would definitely be nervous about the process. Jose found my car for me, a 2007 Acura TL. I was in love with it. I took it home, and noticed that the power steering wasn't working. I had my dad and my brothers look at it, and they noticed that the serpentine belt was in very poor condition, an engine mount cap was nearly gone, and the fender looked like it had been repaired in a home shop, granted I did look at the car before I purchased it, and I just didn't pay much attention to it, I had put a huge amount of trust into the dealership, that was my biggest mistake. Jose had also failed to point out any of these flaws before I purchased the car. I took back my car to Autotrek to get the power steering fixed, and sure enough when I got the car back the power steering still did not work correctly. The car had large chips in the windshield as well. Autotrek sent someone out to my house to fill the chips... They never showed up. They had offered to fix all of those problems, which was awesome because at that point I felt like I had been taken advantage of. Dean the owner of Autotrek set me up with a very nice temporary vehicle while my car was in the shop, I do appreciate those efforts. Unfortunately when I got the car back there was a new crack in the windshield and a small dent in the front bumper. At that point I just wanted my car back, and I never wanted to deal with Autotrek again. Since June 2014 (6 months ago), I've had to replace my tires, which literally fell apart, I've had to buy a new battery, the cheaply replaced steering column makes a new whining noise when I turn, and my trunk doesn't open. All of these problems conveniently happened after my 3 month warranty was up. I would not recommend Autotrek to any first time car buyer. It was a terrible car buying experience. It is unfortunate that Eagle Legacy Credit Union will not allow you to go through any other dealership using the first time car buyer program. Needless to say, I am looking for a new vehicle. read more

I bought my first car through Autotrek. The customer service experience was great at first and they were very willing to work with me on prices and I found what I thought was a "gem" in their lot, a little red 2008 Suzuki Reno. Let me start out by saying that they OBVIOUSLY did not even look at this car before they gladly took my down payment for it. The first day that I drove it home there was a strong burning smell coming from my car. Not even two weeks later my check engine light comes on! I took it to Firestone for them to look at it and it turned out that someone shoved cardboard in between my engine pieces for some unknown reason. Autotrek seemed to have no comment on this. Just from Firestone glancing under my hood, my spark plug wires and valve gasket were in extremely poor condition and had to be replaced. I took the car to one of the mechanic's under my warranty that Autotrek told me to take it to. As I was leaving the mechanic, my check engine light comes on again and the mechanic told me that there was nothing to worry about. He plugged some contraption into my car and the light turned off. 10 minutes later, on my way home, the check engine light comes on AGAIN. I take it to yet another different mechanic that Autotrek has recommended and they told me that my head gasket was completely blown, something that the first place obviously either did not look at or didn't give a single shit about. That gets fixed at the second mechanic that I take it to and Autotrek tries to tell me that I'll be responsible for paying nearly $300 for this repair. It took some angry phone calls to get them to cover the cost of fixing the broken car that they gave me in the first place. About 2-3 months later and my check engine light comes on yet again, this time my transmission has kicked the bucket and I'm left with no help regarding the completely useless and wallet draining car that Autotrek either knowingly or obliviously sold to me. Throughout this whole experience, I have hardly been helped and have only been told "sorry to hear that". I would never recommend that anyone buy from Autotrek because they will be buying a broken down car. Not to mention, I supposedly have had an extended warranty that I was not given any details or documentation for. I feel very taken advantage of given that I'm a very broke, 18 year old college student that doesn't know a lot about cars. I came in there alone and was assured that things would go smoothly.
