They sold us a vehicle with a leaking engine oil pan and leaking shocks -- issues that clearly should have been caught before selling the car. When we brought this up, we were told they would fix any "major issue." Yet when we presented documentation, instead of taking responsibility, John Mudd claimed the GM report was fake. Calling an official GM diagnostic report "fake" instead of standing behind what you sell is beyond unprofessional -- it's dishonest. If a dealership refuses to acknowledge legitimate mechanical defects and tries to discredit official documentation, that tells you everything you need to know about how they operate. John's post purchase arrogance is beyond reasonable. He couldn't even honor his word even after acknowledging via text that the issues were valid. And I quote, "Hey let me get this figures" "Sorry it will be ready by 1:30 tomorrow" "the shocks cannot be fixed for month... ..." Save yourself the stress, the repair bills, and the headache. Major props to Rolando and son. They absolutely went over and above my expectations. My Volvo Vic took its last gasp of air two weeks ago. I was pretty much in a complete tail spin as I had not anticipated Vic's demise so soon. Mind you it was a Volvo. It was a XC90 15 years old. My Volvo was like a brother I could always count on, until I couldn't. Insert sad face. No back up plan in place. Prior to this "Vic" was showing symptoms of failure. He would cough and want to stop everything as I was driving 70 mph on 470. I had him towed home twice. McGyver aka, husband would read the errors and researched to get him back in health. He gave it not one but two resuscitations months apart. I reached out to Rolando and asked him to help me find a car with fuel efficiency and low miles along with a budget. Within an hour I had 4 vehicles in my email inbox to choose from sent by Rolando. History, owners, blue book value and pre approval in check. I found what I wanted within the 4 choices. I was approved at a decent rate to purchase a shiny Toyota Corolla. 2 owners. One was a corporate owner for a fleet car. Second no information. Logistics were met above expectations. I had a hairy day with a loved one in the ER. Through it all Rolando assured me he would deliver the car so I could get to work the next morning. Low and behold Rolando delivered my new purchase with a full tank, papers, and a clean fuel efficient car at 10:45pm that evening. It was that late due to unexpected ER visit. Hoping for something reliable, I turned to JFR with the expectation of receiving quality service and a trustworthy vehicle. However, what I received was far from the assurance promised by their team. Only a few days after driving off the lot with my newly purchased vehicle, I started noticing troubling signs. I had never owned a hybrid vehicle before so I wrote this off as something to do with this type of vehicle. I also work from home so I do not drive often. I trusted the dealership to sell me a reliable car but the problems just started to get worse. Seeking an independent assessment, I consulted with mechanics who confirmed the transmission was failing, stressing that such a vehicle should never have been sold in the first place. A direct quote from the mechanics. This revelation underscored the dealership's blatant disregard for customer welfare and their prioritization of profits over integrity. Despite attempts to resolve the situation with the dealership, they have demonstrated a complete lack of accountability and willingness to address the issue. Their refusal to take responsibility for selling a defective vehicle speaks volumes about their business ethics and commitment to customer satisfaction. In conclusion, I strongly caution potential buyers against considering JFR for their next car. Their deceptive practices and disregard for customer welfare are inexcusable. JFR sells cars on consignment. If you don't know what that means, it's where one person sells goods on behalf of someone else. If you do know what that means, why did you read the last sentence? Drugs and prisoners are usually transferred on consignment. I found neither of these things at JFR, but I did find a no-hassle, no-frills dealership. And I got a 4Runner so cheap it's practically stolen. Because it's consignment, rather than a standard dealer, I don't know how much input these fellas actually have in the sale price of their cars, but I scored a car at $4000 under KBB, which was the absolute lowest price/blue book value ratio I found for any of the cars I had been looking at for several weeks. So I would say they have the best prices in town, but I'm guessing it's entirely dependent on what the vehicle owner wants to make. They were very lenient on handing over the keys and letting me take her for a spin - and take as much time as I needed. Maybe I should've used the test drive to take care of some errands... I wasn't able to negotiate the price down, but the agent that I worked with made it clear upfront that the car was as fairly priced as possible, so I wasn't expecting them to take my offer. They called the owner regarding my offer, but he didn't budge. Nonetheless- good deal on a clean car. The detailing job was awesome. Except that I despise the pine-fresh smell that all commercial detailers use, and I have to leave my windows down for the next month to air out that nauseating Windex scent. They even made sure to send out a mobile windshield replacement company since I bought the car before they could fix the cracked glass. I'd recommend these guys for buying or selling. read more

Like many car resellers, this one preys on low information buyers and makes its $$ in subprime loan referrals. A ragtag assemblage of independent brokers, there is no front office staff, no one to fetch cars from their other locked locations away from the showroom. On a Saturday, I waited 2.5 hours after arrival stuck in the customer waiting room for Ed, an otherwise affable guy I'd have liked to work with, who I had made the appointment with, to not see a car. I was a cash customer for a Lexus. While waiting, because the customer lounge is adjacent to a table where one broker was doing a negotiation, I caught 90+ minutes of one of Ed's associates cramming a $35k used car for more than it can be purchased for new, down the throat of a young couple coming out of bankruptcy. The lies spewing from that salesman's mouth were enough for me to vomit. This business needs to discuss personal matters in private rooms or cubicles away from other customers. They also need to hire a extra pair of hands to facilitate moving vehicles so customers can see them. No see car, no buy car. read more

This will probably be biased because I have always been treated so well by them but hey, that's all I can go on right? First things first, it took Lee about 7 months from the time I started looking to the time we found my truck. Not because he was slow, or lazy, or anything bad; but because he wanted to get me the best deal he could and wasn't comfortable making me pay a few thousand more when he knew the pricing trend was going to start dropping. Yes, we found many trucks that I liked, but they weren't exactly what I wanted and he knew I wasn't in a huge hurry so...he trekked on and on to find me the perfect deal; which he did, about an hour north of Denver, and we were driving home in the truck same day! This was all done for nothing; no up-front fee, no contract, nothing at all! Now, for some background. Lee Graf worked for an auto dealer in Denver that my parents had bought from for many years and always went through him. He was there many years and decided to come to JFR because it's more personal service, as well as more laid back. My parents continued to buy from Lee after he came to JFR for many reasons. He actually drove my mom's car and met her in Pueblo (as she lives in SE Colorado) to swap vehicles so she wouldn't have to drive all the way up to Denver! That, is personal service! They also charge a much lower dealer-handling fee than regular dealers. Have their own in house financing to get you financed through a myriad of lenders, as well as will help you find the cheapest and best auto insurance for your new or used vehicle purchase(which saved me almost $200 every 6 months!). If you need an auto broker, definitely try them. They'll give you a better than average deal on your trade-in and you can save the hassle of having swarming auto salesman trying to suck your blood like a mosquito! I will never buy from a dealership again after using them a couple years ago. They still keep in contact regularly just to check on you...WITHOUT pressure. SO nice! read more

I had two cars and decided that one car was a better situation for me. I put up my own ads on c*****list and c***urus and a****rader, but was getting SUPER low-balled and a lot of spam. I also quickly realized that I couldn't just up and leave work to show the cars, let alone simultaneously find my replacement vehicle. A work mate told me about the people/person she used and told me to give them a call. I said I would, but I kept thinking that I could do this on my own. How hard could this be? Six months later, I was still the proud owner of two cars and not a step closer to a replacement. In that time I researched more cars, and compared lease vs. loan options. I had more choices and suddenly was more in over my head. Finally, I had enough. I didn't have the time six months ago, and I certainly didn't have the time now, so I called/emailed the recommendation and within 3 weeks, both my cars were sold and I had my replacement. My work and family schedule was minimally impacted and I got the car I wanted, and all the paperwork was ready for me to sign when I went to the office to pick up my car. Best of all, my reasons for trading in two for the one were respected. All the finances were explained in the process and once again at the pick-up. There was no question too lame or asked again that annoying. I had done enough research, and what I didn't have solid info on, my guy made sure I had it and understood what it meant. The process was easy, always stellar and clear communication and my broker made time for me. No judgment, lots of integrity, great ability to relate and listen. Never made me feel uneasy with anything I threw out there. I can't wait to get into another car through these guys in the future. No more big box dealerships with their smwarmy greed and lack of humanity for what you may be going through where buying a car is a HUGE commitment, not just a toy you happen have an extra 20K for. read more

I've had one of the worst car buy experience here. I was sold a car with missing bolts for rear bumper, bold rear tires and still didn't received the emissions voucher that I paid for. I went under the car to tighten the rear bumper coz I noticed that it was real loose. The rear bumper was missing two bolts and then I noticed the that both of the rear tires were bold on the inside. I couldn't tell the tires were bold until I had to crawl under the car. How can a reputable deal sell a car with missing bolts and bold tires. This is a safety issue. Called to look at an s2000. The ad mentioned a hardtop that came along with the car but apparently it was stolen. I ask to look at the car at 12 on Monday. He (Ken) didn't take my number or name down but I gave him the benefit of the doubt although it should have been a red flag. So I come in on Monday at 12 and of course Ken thought I was coming in at 2. He said there was someone taking it out for an hour long test drive. So I said ok I'll call back in an hour and so I call at 1:15 and the guy is still in the test drive. I call at about 2 and he's still on a test drive. He says he'll call me when it comes in. I wait till 2:45 which is 45 minutes after he thought we were scheduled for and 2 hours 45 minutes after we were actually supposed to be scheduled at and there is no answer when I call. I start heading out of the area (I'm from Colorado Springs) at 3 and then he gives me a call about 10 mins later saying it is finally in. I still wanted to see the car since it's not easy for me to drop by so I head back. The test drive was uneventful and I come back and ask a few questions. I make an offer and he says he'll email me back on if it's good or not. Of course over a week later I have yet to get a reply and I check today and the car is no longer in inventory. I don't rate things poorly often as evidenced by my history but this was just very unprofessional and disorganized work not to mention the ad was misleading as well. I can't obviously comment on the buying process but I don't feel like I should feel like I'm doing the dealership a favor struggling to look at a car I want to buy. read more

A friend of mine recommended working with John to locate a car, so I contacted him and gave him a list of criteria for the vehicles we were looking for. He said he would look and get back to us, but we didn't hear from him for over a week. He also didn't answer our phone calls. When we finally heard back from John and told him that we had bought a car, he responded angrily with childish taunts and a sheer lack of professionalism that is simply stunning. You're not a candidate for my services, if you have the time to run around from dealer to dealer looking for a vehicle.
