We'd already determined I'd be getting the full exterior detail & interior basic cleaning service for my G37 sedan, but Kevin took the time to explain exactly what he would be doing and allowed me to point out any areas of particular concern. 3.5 hours later Kevin texted me letting me know my car was almost done. The exterior of the car looks better than when I drove it off the lot, and I was pleasantly surprised with how thorough the interior cleaning was for being considered a "basic clean." I've never actually used this place the address is close to me but he is a mobile service , I tried to get a appt. after several tries he messaged me with a opening 3 weeks away ! This seems to be the Standard operating procedure for mobile Detailers as they all seem to chase the big money jobs and expensive cars that don't need much work ! I've been thinking about getting new wheels for my Porsche Turbo for a long time. I saw these awesome looking wheels at one event that will look nice on my car. The only problem is the wheels are almost $7K so I'm trying to find a good way to justify the purchase. The standard Porsche wheels are actually nice except I wanted a different color just like the wheels I saw. I did some research and found out that new Plasti-Dip colors and the technology behind it have improved this past year. I looked around the Bay Area for a shop that can do this and I found Autowerks Detailing. Even though all my research provided positive information about PlastiDip, I was still wary about doing this to my wheels so I contacted Kevin who is the owner of the shop. He told me he's done tons of PlastiDip jobs and even sent me some photos. He's very professional and knowledgeable about the process which made me comfortable about doing this. The best thing he said is if I decided I didn't like it, PlastiDip is removed easily and I'm back to stock color. And of course, the best thing is the cost which is just a tiny fraction of new wheels. Not much to lose if I didn't like it. I decided to do it and I picked the Hyper Graphite color which is the same color of the wheels I wanted. After seeing what Kevin did, WOW!!! I'm so glad I did it as my car looked really good. Actually looks like a different car. My wife and my friends saw it and they can't believe they're not new wheels! Some are even considering getting it done and starting to look at available colors and what will look good with their cars. I kept looking at it all day as I feel like I have a new car . Keven did such a great job on my wife's BMW i decided to let him work his magic on my daughters 2012 VW Jetta. It has sat in the sun for 5 years and the paint was starting to fade.The drivers door had lots of deep scratches. The interior had never been cleaned and it showed. Well Kevin did work his magic and 4 1/2 hours later the Jetta looked brand new. Inside was spotless and the exterior had such a mirror finish I could shave with it. Door scratches disappeared. From Ass to Glass I heard about Auto Werks Detailing from some buddies that run a Podcast called Driving While Awesome (shameless plug). I took a chance and sent one of my coworkers over to Auto Werks Detailing so I could see the results. And his M3 came back a brighter silver than I've ever seen it. It was amazing to say the least, I knew my car (which looked like it was scrubbed with a brillo pad by the previous owner) would be a task for Auto Werks. My car was a hot mess before the detail. The swirl marks looked like a picasso painting in my black paint, no joke, it was like starry night. I was sure the damage had been done, but Auto Werks assured me that it could be repaired. I dropped off my car, and got progress photos through the day. The difference was literally like seeing sandpaper turn into glass. I will never go to anyone else for my detailing needs. I stupidly parked my car close to a curb not paying any attention to the huge shrub that must have just been trimmed because a branch scraped the entire side of my car. Ugh.
