I'm a knucklehead, not a gear head…read more This is always my second stop for auto parts when it should be my first. (The supply store closest to my house never fails to disappoint). This store is busy. Always. Good news is there are usually a lot of employees to help and they do their best to greet and assist you before you get to the counter. I've never walked out of this store empty handed and have received great service each time. Pricing is good here as well. I have price checked them on regular items like filters and such and prices are lower or very competitive. Definitely worth the drive to the busier store.

I went to the Layton store to have my battery checked because I had problems with it starting. I'm…read morea 68 yr old single female. My son has helped me in the pass but he was unavailable and I was unsure of where the battery was purchased. There were 4 employees visiting when I walked in and it took me interrupting them to get some help. A very young male employee finally agreed to come check my battery, he applied the cables to determine the charge left in my battery and laughed in shock as he said is was soooo dead. pretty sure he put the cables on the wrong terminal. I followed him back in and asked if another employee could help him because I knew my battery was hard to change and he had told me he was rather new. They all went out to look at it and when they returned I had to ask for an answer. I was then informed from the mgr as he was unboxing freight that it looked like my battery was leaking battery acid (I had just gone through the car wash and cleaned my engine to get the baking soda off) He informed me that they did not have the tools to take my battery out because it might tip and get battery acid in my engine. I would have to take it elsewhere. I asked if it was their battery and they told me it was O'Reilly's. I went to O'Reillys and am happy to say I got 5 star service. My battery was not leaking and it was still under warranty. I might be older, female and blonde but I'm not ignorant to car maintenance. Autozone lost a customer that day, I will never return. The treatment I received was inexcusable. Really upset my day and caused me to have to reschedule a very important appointment.

Bought a car from them, told them the only way I'd purchase is if they did a deep inspection on it…read moreto make sure it's good, not even 3 weeks later the engine blew and needed an entire engine replacement. I paid $3,000 for a warranty that barely did anything, still had to pay so much out of pocket for the new engine. They offered no help and acted like I wasn't a customer. Also went in for an oil change with them and they gave me a list of maybe 10 urgent things needed done with my car for about $4,000 and then I took it over to VW to have them check told them what happened to be thorough, VW only found one minor thing and showed proof. Would not recommend this service department or sales to anyone. Would recommend going next door to VW as they are much more precise and thorough and honest with you.

1 STAR - ABSOLUTELY DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL…read more This place is a nightmare, and I regret ever bringing my car here. I initially went to this body shop on December 2nd just to get a quote. They took photos of the body damage and then told me I had engine damage that "had to be sent to their mechanic." I was told that was necessary to move forward, so I dropped my car off on December 5th. From that point on, communication was almost nonexistent. They sent me a body estimate and repeatedly told me they were "waiting on the mechanic." My insurance adjuster didn't even inspect the car until December 9th, yet Allstate issued a payment that same day -- a payment I never signed for, never authorized, and never agreed could be cashed. Weeks went by with no updates. On December 15th, they again claimed they were still waiting on their mechanic. Then I heard nothing until December 29th. When I told them I wanted to move my car to another shop due to the ridiculous delays, I was suddenly told I couldn't -- because they had already cashed the insurance check without my authorization. At that point, I didn't know better and felt trapped, so I reluctantly agreed to continue. Big mistake. They didn't submit the mechanic's estimate until January 5th, at which point they conveniently decided the engine issue "wasn't related to the accident" -- despite the fact that my engine had ZERO leaks before the accident. On January 8th, I demanded my check back and told them I would pick up my car on January 12th. I was told it would take two weeks to return the money. It is now January 28th, and I still do not have my check. To make matters worse, I contacted their corporate office and spoke to someone named Chris, who said he would "look into it." Instead of helping, he falsely told the body shop that I approved the repairs -- which I absolutely did NOT. The body shop then texted me claiming I had approved work and needed to bring my car back. That never happened. Let me be very clear: I never signed anything. I never authorized payment. I never approved repairs. This shop cashed a check without consent, stalled for over a month, withheld funds they have no right to, and then tried to cover themselves by falsely claiming I approved work. This is not just incompetence -- this is unethical business behavior. If you value your time, your money, or your vehicle, stay far away from this place.
