No wait! The guy we met (I think he was Ken) was extremely friendly, soft spoken, and was an excellent listener. He understood what was going wrong with my truck (burning smells going uphill, and a leaky rear diff) and he took us in the shop, showed us the underside of the truck, and talked to my friend and I about what could be going on. He was very honest, and helped me understand what was going on down there, which I really appreciated since I'm kind of a mechanically minded person. I trust his judgement. All we needed was some rear diff fluid. A cheap repair and we were back on the road. I highly recommend this repair shop.

SHAME ON YOU! ***SEE BELOW FOR FULL STORY*** Anthony M. 5 years ago WARNING TO FELLOW CAR ENTHUSIAST DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO KYLE'S AUTO REPAIR AND RESTORATION LOCATED AT 1728 NORTHCREST DR. CRESCENT CITY, CA Just to mention a few of my bad experiences.......after my 1970 Pontiac GTO had been sitting in my garage for over 25 years, due to a malfunctioning engine; and because at the time it was more important to provide for my family. After retiring from over 35 years in law enforcement, my kids persuaded me into restoring my GTO which I bought new..........THIS IS WHEN MY NIGHTMARE BEGAN. First mistake: TAKING IT TO KYLE'S AUTO REPAIR AND RESTORATION. They refused to give me a written estimate as I requested. And said they would charge me by the hour but, promised it wouldn't cost me very much to repair... LIE !!! After nearly a year, Kyle and his father Curtis ended up charging me close to $31,000, After all was said and done........ for a job that should of cost only about 7 to 8 thousand dollars. Did you know, to replace the engine that I purchased elsewhere and had delivered to Kyle's garage to be installed in my GTO you had to remove both fenders and the bumper first?!??!? NEITHER DID I !! Now, my new transmission that they installed had no first gear and will start in any position the gear is placed in. That's why Kyle warned me to apply my brakes before starting the car. While my GTO was in Kyle's possession my positraction in my GTO was stolen. Kyle and his father replaced it with a single wheel drive unit. Also my original gas tank was taken and replaced with a cheaper tank. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE ORIGINAL GAS TANK TO BEGIN WITH. Kyle also rewired my GTO, now I have no horn or backup lights. And due to to bad wiring it caused my electric radiator fans to burn out the transfer switch. Which I had repaired at a different shop. Plus, Kyle charged me for new parts that he never installed in my GTO. He also charged me for a supposedly new car battery that had three dead cells and had to be replaced shortly after getting my car back because the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I just mentioned a few things that went wrong while Kyle and his father had my car. PLEASE BE WARNED..... I filed a complaint with the California bureau of auto repair (B.A.R.). After the B.A.R.'S investigation they ruled in my favor and they agreed that I definitely was taken advantage of by Kyle and his father, Curtis.......However, I discovered that the B.A.R. has no teeth. They informed me that their hands are tied because there hadn't been enough complaints filed against Kyle's auto and restoration....... Folk's this is like your local municipality refusing to install traffic lights at a known dangerous intersection, until there's a certain amount of fatalities that had occurred. I hired a local attorney, but he proved to very incompetent and ineffective......... I'm still looking for a competent attorney!! I had been screwed twice. First by Kyle and his father, Curtis and now by the attorney that I hired to seek justice on my behalf.... Folks, I believe that people should support their local businesses but, NOT WHEN THEY STEAL AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE PUBLIC !!!!

The prices seem very reasonable, and the entire crew seems to work well together. It was originally a tire shop. They still sell tires, but also have 5 bays with lifts that seem to always be full when I go there. It's a superb business. I strongly recommend them.

Thankfully this place was open because i was traveling and i needed a new tire replacement ASAP. I got there a little later than planned and ended up waiting 3-4 hours as there were people in front of me. As i was being checked in by the receptionist (female) i asked her if they can charge me more and bolt the bottom panel back that was dragging from the tire blowout. She said "probably not" and didn't even bother to ask anyone. I was feeling hopeless... i seen Manny heading to my car and asked him if he had time to look at the bottom panel and maybe bolt it back in real quick. He said he would give it a look. He did it very quick and tried to tip him, he turned ot down. This was hands down one of the best manager experiences i have ever had. I hope ypper management takes notice. Not only did he help me out, he didn't even bother to acceot the tip. I was pretty shocked initially. I believe Manny cares very much about customers and helping out. We limped in to another shop and they said our trailer axle was bad and needed 4-5 weeks to order parts and make repairs. Yikes! On a Friday, we took our 2012 Lance travel trailer to Jason at JTC Performance Automotive and he said he thought he could make the repairs by Tuesday (3 business days). He did! He replaced broken and old parts on all four wheels, and got us back on the road. We successfully made it back to Phoenix all thanks to his knowledgeable shop who did what they said they would do- a true value! Thanks Jason and Team!
