I came here on December 26th. The day after Christmas after having my tire blowout in the mountains after a landslide of rocks got in the way. Thankfully this place was open because i was traveling and i needed a new tire replacement ASAP. I got there a little later than planned and ended up waiting 3-4 hours as there were people in front of me. As i was being checked in by the receptionist (female) i asked her if they can charge me more and bolt the bottom panel back that was dragging from the tire blowout. She said "probably not" and didn't even bother to ask anyone. I was feeling hopeless... i seen Manny heading to my car and asked him if he had time to look at the bottom panel and maybe bolt it back in real quick. He said he would give it a look. He did it very quick and tried to tip him, he turned ot down. This was hands down one of the best manager experiences i have ever had. I hope ypper management takes notice. Not only did he help me out, he didn't even bother to acceot the tip. I was pretty shocked initially. I believe Manny cares very much about customers and helping out. I'm only giving 5 out of 5 stars because Yelp won't allow me to give 10! We were on the last day of a multiweek trip in Del Norte County and noticed that one of our tires was losing air. This was the afternoon before we were supposed to start a thousand mile drive down the coast back home the next morning, so the timing was pretty bad. Fortunately, Les Schwab came to the rescue. Despite it being busy, they took us in right away. We were given no hassle or sales pitch despite the tires being due for replacement because they knew we needed it fixed and to get on the road. The technician took the wheel off in no time and ran it through some tests to find the culprit. A nail was stuck in the tire. He removed it, patched it up, filled it with air, and ran it through some tests. He finished the whole thing in 20 minutes. We even had free popcorn and hot drinks in the lobby while we waited. We are back home now, and the tire didn't lose any air on our long drive. If we move to Del Norte County, we know where we'll be getting our tires from. I didn't catch the technician's name but he had a redwood tattoo on his forearm, so if his manager is reading this, GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE! I needed my tires air pressure checked and didn't know where to go. I saw the French named garage on Northcrest street and passed by there. Usually they are busy but I took a chance and drove over there right after my work today. The mechanic came right out and without even questioning me, he did all four tire air pressure check and told me all four tires are inflated just right. I told him that I had another vehicle at my house! He said to bring it over. I went back with my other car and had it checked. The service staffs were friendly and quick and the best of all it was all for free. I was so impressed I asked them to do my car's tires rotation. They did it within an hour. Without an appointment. Les Schwab in Crescent City always checks my tires and puts air in if needed, no waiting. Recently my car needed pressure sensors. They ordered them. The sensors were in when they told me they would be. Not cheap, but their prices are in line with the average. Got the job done the day they said it would happen and was out of there within an hour. A bit frustrated. Not because of the work done on the truck. They did a great job regardless of the time it took. I was patient and I understood. However, the check engine light after the work was done was dismissed and "wait to see what happens." As the truck the next morning is pouring green stuff out of the truck‍. Another shop can't get me in till Tuesday. Also, the type of tires has to be heated up to balance them. I have used same tires for years. As left it was understood in next few days I would take a drive and come back in when they have been drive in for awhile. I first time I called the guy told I had to wait a few hours. This takes away from the driving the truck. I called back second guy said he would call in next 30 mins and let me know when the rack is open. This didn't happen the job was not finished. read more

I've been to this Les Schwab about seven times in the past only because they're an hour closer than anyone else. They have ruined my brakes on a trailer they screwed up our alignment on the other car and when they tell you it'll take them a half hour to 45 minutes it's never less than two hours ever. So now I drive the extra time and go to the one in Brookings because they're always very good. This is hands-down the worst Les Schwab ever dealt with. I have been using Les Schwab since 1962. I have always been pleased with their service. But my last two encounters with the Les Schwab in Crescent City have not been all that good. First I had them rotate my tires on my truck. They did not balance the fronts or was the tires as before. I asked about the brakes. He said next rotation I should get new breaks. The brakes are good. I just replaced them 10K ago. He never look because I was standing and watching. Next I brought my travel trailer in to have the wheel bearings packed. This part was OK, but the guy backed off the brakes to get the drums off and then never reset the shoes, I had NO breaks when left and drove all the way to Coos Bay with NO trailer breaks. After I paid and started to leave my truck would not move front or back. He forgot to remove the tire chocks from my truck and it tore of a mud flap. Since the death of Harlen Schwab the company is only worried about MONEY and not service to the customer. The people are NOT trained very well. I will be looking for another place to get my service done. read more

Buyer beware. Had new tires put on my car at Les Schwab here in Crescent City. Then took my car somewhere else to get and oil change. They also checked the tire pressure. The place I got the oil change let me know my tires, all 4, were over inflated to 50 psi when they should of been inflated to 36 psi. Not only is this dangerous but it also makes the tires wear out much faster. Just a heads up, don't know if it was incompetence or a shady way to make my tire wear out faster, either way they lost a costumer. read more

Went in for a nail in my tire and they acted in a quick and professional manner. During the current Covid situation and the sign on the door saying everyone has to wear a mask I was encouraged. During the wait I witnessed at least 4 people going in to the store without masks and at least two of the white shirt technicians not wearing masks either inside the store or outside. Brent was the biggest offender he did not even have one on his neck nor did he try and social distance. Brent was the one finishing my tire repair and was letting the air out of my tires and I asked why and he said they were way over pressure. I asked what pressure they should be and he said 35 pounds, I then said did you look at the tire or the label on the truck to confirm that and he said no. It was corrected but his attitude about knowing it all and making assumptions was a bit over the top. They left out my sensor in the tire and I had to go back to get it fixed. Mitch helped me at that point and was wearing a mask and very professional and helpful. Again while in the store there were 6 customers 4 of which did not have masks and joking about how it is crazy to expect people to where them.
