I've never had a problem. Seems like most of these parts stores have started removing the books you use to look up your own filter. They claim it's because they get too many returns. I get it but I'd really rather help myself. The people that work there are generally helpful. Nothing amazing here and nothing terrible. My biggest criticism would be they don't keep enough stock up. I don't know how many times I've been there and they were out of the oil brand/weight I wanted. read more

Very bad customer service! My father went there to purchase break pads and Carmen the manager as she claimed was unfortunately very rude to him. He speaks very little English and he was struggling trying to explain what he needs so he called me and had me talk to her over the phone. She was yelling at my father telling him i gave you the option do you want this one or this one with a very loud yelling voice! I asked her who is her manger she said she is the manager! So i didnt say anything because i knew it would be useless to speak to her if she is actually the manager and yelling like this. I hanged up and called the store again and some one named Dewen or Owen answered the phone and i asked to speak to the manager and he said he is the manager in training and then he hanged up the phone on me! Its seems like little kids are working at that store! Very un professional. Im very disappointed. read more

Bought battery from them a year ago and when in for an oil change dealer found battery defective. Went back to store, explained and showed them picture of dealer test machine. The came out and tested it and agreed. But, they do not carry a similar battery now. Mgr told me to get it replaced anywhere I wanted, then bring the old battery for a full refund. I did that, brought it back and they had me my money back. No hassle. Great service, nice staff. read more

I got to the store right when they opened. I asked the gentleman behind the counter for wipers for my car. He looked them up on the computer and got them for me. I asked him if they were easy to install. He said that he would install them for me. I was thrilled! He went out and snap them on like magic! He did it in less than three minutes!! MINUS STAR On Friday January 12, 2018 at 8:45PM I rushed to the nearest Autozone store to get a code reading that turned on my service engine light. The Autozone I visted was located infront of the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers Massachusetts! 151 Endicott st Danvers, Ma 01923 to be exact. Upon arrival the time was exactly 8:48PM which is 12 minutes of the store closing time 9:00PM. I walk in and Dlyen P. (Parts sales Manager) with a frusturaded time he greeted me by saying we are closing in 5 mins. I sympathised and stated this is urgent I only need to know the code that is causing my engine light to turn on. He turned towards me, away from the customer he was attending and with very arrogant look in his face from smiling to angery he stated we arent offering this service now! I stated I know how to use the device and he could hold on to my drivers license. As usual all the guys know me and I'm a regural. He raised his voice at me and said NO, i responded by telling him not to speak to me in this matter. He turned away and countined to speak with the customer as if i wasnt there. I asked if he was seriouse with the actions he is taking. He stated could you leave we are closing which wasnt true as one rep was outside helping a customer and him speaking to another. I asked him his name he turned his badge towards me and said gladly. I have been going to that autozone since I was in highshool I fixed all my cars and all family members cars there through out the years. By far this was the worst experience I ever had in any store I have ever been too. This is my first time ever complaining to a company about an employee or service! Because im always polite and respectful towards everyone that is working in the service industry due my personal career revolves around customer service. They will cheat and lie to you.Don't let them trick you into buying a new battery from them when they say its okay but its really not and if your battery is under warranty with them they will not give you a replacement if it passes their toy battery tester. Tell them to put away the toy battery tester and bring out a REAL analog amperage load tester or bring your own. This will show them the battery is dead and cant be used. Your battery may show a full charge but it will not have enough cranking amps to turn a starter motor. I had to go to another Auto Zone just to prove it to them. They had nothing to say once it was proven. These counter persons where adults in their 50s and 60s not some younger workers. read more

I have visited this Autozone a few times to replace bulbs, wipers and other small things in my car. I am always pleasantly surprised as to the patience and knowledge of the sales staff. They never look at me like I'm dumb or foolish, which I am. Today I was helped by John who patiently and efficiently help me locate three different lightbulbs on my car. Each of them work perfectly and he was very understanding. I will definitely return to this AutoZone. read more

For some reason my Versa blows headlamps like no one's business, so I head here fairly frequently. The store is clean and usually well stocked. In the last year they seem to have turned over staff and the new guys that work there are pretty friendly and helpful and don't look at me like I have 3 heads when I head in and know what I'm looking for and know how to use the books to look it up if I don't know the part number. (In previous visits some of the staff was not all that friendly, helpful and clearly doubted that a woman could possibly find what she was looking for on the shelf. ) If they don't have something I'm looking for they will gladly order it from another store or call me when it's in. Prices are on par with other chains and about the same as Walmart. read more

After my husband repeatedly failed to change the windshield wipers on my car I decided to head into "the zone" myself. Not exactly my idea of a fun way to spend a lunch break. but nevertheless..... I was greeted almost immediately by the store manager (I think) Mark. I explained what I was looking for and he patiently showed me the different options and had me checked out within a matter of 10 minutes. Was looking for an item in the Danvers store and it had not been restocked. Asked a sales associate for help and he was less than helpful. Thankfully the Salem store had what I was looking for. They also seemed much more competent and accommodating. There were many boneheads working in Danvers, looking like they would rather smoke pot than help me. Thanks auto zone salem. read more

Went in just for car washing materials. The cashiers didn't say a word, they were in their own conversation. They were having a conversation about their weekend, cursing a lot. In Jan 2016 I bought a 12 year old pickup. In Dec 2018 the battery died. No problem, I got a replacement at Autozone in Danvers MA. In Feb 2020 that battery died. These things happen. I went back to Autozone and they refused to honor the warranty. They had my phone number on record, but a misspelled name and zipcode. I went to an autoparts store across the street and dropped $150 on a new battery. Done with you Aotozone. read more

Went in from a long day at work. Was asking about if there was any products that help on freeze a trunk lock. Aside the fact that I was mistaken and it was the latch not the lock which I was corrected by the customer service representative as he rolled his eyes. He was less than helpful did not give me any advice and left me with out a solution. If I knew stuff I wouldn't be going to auto zone but I have minor knowledge of cars and that is why I go or had gone to be more accurate. Do you think I'll go there again? Excellent service. A woman named Lisa with orange-pinkish hair helped me out with an air conditioning issue on my 2008 Honda. She was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Since my AC stopped working, I was afraid my air compressor had blown, like it had in the Honda I'd owned previously, but it turned out the system simply had too much pressure, which she released after about a minute under the hood and my AC has worked fine since. I feel fortunate that I didn't have to spend a dime while this time, but next time I have to, I will definitely use AutoZone. read more

Placed an online order, within 10 minutes I received a call that it was all ready except for one part which would need to come from another store and won't be in until early afternoon. Since I can't pick up until 6 pm and it's currently 10 am; that works fine for me. Awesome response time. Will definitely return. read more

I went in because the check engine light on my car went on, and they advertise that they can check it. I waited in line (for what seemed like forever), and when it was my turn I explained that I needed, and the guy working there rudely told me that he didn't have time to check that. He couldn't leave the store because it was only him and the manager working and maybe when he took care of everyone else in the store he would have time. Knowing what checking the check engine light entails (which is plugging in a device and reading the error codes, a total effort of about 3 minutes), I asked him I if I could just check it myself. He then scoffed at me and said 'no you can't do that'. Everyone else that I know that has gone to have this service preformed, has done it themselves. Fortunately, there is an Advanced Auto Parts right across the street. I walked in, they gave me the device, I plugged it in, and was out of there in about 5 minutes. No attitude or belittlement. I will never go to an Autozone again. read more
