Have been going here for oil change but their attitude changed and they became more rude and unfriendly.. decided to the oil change myself.. now I can see it was cheap but they did a really poor job.. they cut/DAMAGED my lower engine aluminum covers and plastic covers as the could not remove the screws..I understand screws can get rusty but you can use W40 and remove profesionally... Then they tied my engine cover with plastic zip ties.. I would not recommend them anymore.. to the owner .. if you don't like this job no need to be rude to customers.. just sell the business.. read more

I had something going on with my car that other mechanics could not identify. I brought the car here in September and they were great. Not only were they able to fix the problem, they did it faster than the estimated time. They called when there was something that wasn't identified when I dropped the car off to be sure it was OK with me that they do the work. Everyone in the shop was friendly and knowledgeable. Fast forward to November 11th and one of my high beam lights was not working. My husband bought a bulb and tried to change it. Anyone who has a Subaru knows that it's not straight forward to change a bulb. So, I brought it to Route 114 Sunoco without an appointment on a Saturday and asked if they could get it fixed that day. I said I could leave the car. Kamil was wonderful! He came to my car and checked it out. He said he would do it while I waited. It was done so quickly and Kamil didn't charge me. Just plain RUDE needed an inspection sticker guy in the bay just bumped his head up like what do you want I said I need a sticker he rolled his eyes like I was bothering him. He hasn't said a word yet mind you pointed over to the parking spots so I went and parked. walking to the office he finally says I need the keys ( should have left right then) I said they are in the truck. went in the office the oth guy come right in to get the $35 wait a bit then mr wonderful comes in says you failed (what a surprise) you ha a break light out and the tint on your windows (which has been on the truck for years) is too dark you need to rip it off. Didn't even offer to change the bulb. Left there went and got a new bulb then went to another station explained what happened this guy did another full inspection passed no problem like it always has. THIS IS PART 2 OF 2 OF MY REVIEW (due to Yelp's number of characters limitation per review) WORST EXPERIENCE EVER WITH ANY KIND OF BUSINESS OR SERVICES I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD (Continues from Part 1)...all about 6-7 people of car mechanics and staff came towards me and surrounded me while I was talking with their boss Kamil. One quite younger tall and big guy who seemed to be related to him (I concluded one of his sons) came really close to me INVADING MY PERSONAL SPACE AND USING HIS BIG PHYSIQUE DELIBERATELY IN A THREATENING WAY KEPT YELLING IN MY FACE "THIS IS OUR BUSINESS AND WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE..." I didn't understand why all this had escalated so rapidly from their end to the extent that they had GANGED UP on me in their shop within our less than one minute interaction between me and their boss Kamil who was kicking me out refusing to me service and how could this be happening. However one thing I definitely knew at that moment was that I DIDN'T FEEL SAFE for my well being and even for my life. At that point apart from their lack of professionalism the owner Kamil and his staff had graphically exhibited with their actions their lack of any common sense as well as to how to treat people in a civil way. With them having surrounded me in a threatening way and with this other individual having invaded my personal space yelling in my face without any witnesses around I could not be quite sure of what to expect next from them and their mob behavior. I then stated that if you all continue with this I will have to call the police. Then the heavy set son yelling at me again threatened to call the police on me instead (as ludicrous this could sound...) I asked him on what grounds would he ever attempt that and his answer was "because you came to my business threatening to call the police on us...!!!" Nevertheless the one and only thing that unexpectedly happened right there and then and despite their hollow threats was that at the sound of my warning of calling the police they loosened up and dispersed their circle around me while Kamil for the first time addressed his son asking him to stop his unacceptable behavior towards me which then he did by stepping back from me and getting back to the shop. However Kamil continued with the inappropriate and dismissive behavior and body language "throwing" me out of his shop. I went back to my car and locked myself in it quite shocked from this terrible experience I just had. By locking my doors I felt a bit safer in it. I looked at my driver's window 1/3 open now and tried one last time to roll it up and close it unsuccessfully. I was so annoyed with their hostile and unprofessional behavior. They had just done some more damage to my window, they had refused bringing it back to its condition denying any responsibility, they had denied giving me any service for the state inspection out of spite and on top of all this they had just tried to rough me up and collectively flex their muscles to me in mob style. As I was really thinking of calling the police I took a deep breath and instead I called my wife first to tell her. She got so upset when I told her what had just happened and added that unbeknownst to me last time she had brought the other car there she was so frustrated with their rudeness and unprofessional attitude herself that she decided never to go back there again. She had forgotten to mention to me that last experience of hers there because having known that I would have never gone back there and that would have saved me all this. We both decided then that I should not call the police after all but instead report our bad experiences with them on Yelp, Google and Angie's List as they deserved it. In that fashion we might be able to provide useful information to other potential customers of theirs in the future and save them their time, money and trouble. My wife and I both have had years of experience in customer service and we are always happy to give great reviews on Yelp on great service we have received from businesses. Nonetheless we both feel we have even more of a responsibility towards our community to review and report the ones with the bad (or no service at all in this case) hopping we will be able to protect other people from having the same or similar experience with ours. We strongly believe that bad service should always come with its repercussions to the businesses which provide it. They should always be exposed and held accountable for it. Wonderful customer service, extremely fast and thorough work, honest, trustworthy and super friendly! I would absolutely recommend this establishment for any and all car-related issues. After having some problems with my check engine light (and taking it to multiple mechanics) I brought it here for them to take a look at. They instantly diagnosed the problem, finding that a plug wasn't fully connected at both ends... which is a bit scary to think another mechanic couldn't find or fix this. They also fixed my brakes and for such a reasonable price with no attempt to upcharge or upsell me. Typically bringing your car into the shop isn't the most pleasant experience, but this team has over-exceeded my expectations. My 18 year old daughter called me crying today, with the rain she slid off the exit ramp getting from 128 to 95 into the marsh. I left work and drove to her location in a panic. The police and tow truck were already there and got her out, but the car was driving funny. I drove it to the next exit and ended up at Sonoco on 114 in Danvers. Kamil was waiting out front with a kind smile. He told us he would take a look and call us later. I took my daughter back to work with me, and an hour later Kamil called to say the car was ready. When we arrived, he asked her to drive it for a few minutes to make sure that she felt comfortable and safe. She took it for a spin and came back with a big smile on her face. Kamil told us it was loaded with mud and that he cleaned it out for us. When he told us there was no charge I almost burst into tears. He has never done business with us before. I stopped in yesterday on the way home from work to get an inspection sticker. After about a 5-minute wait they pulled my car into the inspection bay. about 10 minutes later they rolled it out gave me the thumbs up I had passed! I have a 2013 Chrysler 300 and it is in fantastic shape! Brand new tires put on last year so there really shouldn't have been any issues with the car anyway. The manager Kamil commented on how nice and clean my car was inside and out and he seemed very friendly. That never happens here. Kamil and his team work so hard to get your car in and out as fast as possible with the best job done. HORRIBLE experience. I went in for an inspection Oct 25 for my older Honda Accord. I failed due to one nearly bald tire on front, passenger side. The technician, Kamil, showed me the tire and offered to replace the tire immediately, to pass inspection. The handprinted price sheet was fairly expensive (Over $100 for one tire) This facility also does not perform alignments, so I opted to purchase and replace the tire elsewhere, rotate new wheel to rear, and perform alignment. After I installed the new tire, I came back for re-inspection. Kamil now "remembers" that they failed me due to THREE bad tires, not the original one, which is completely false. If you DO go here, be careful with the upsell and DOCUMENT/RECORD what they tell you. Wasted hours of my time and money. read more

On a Friday at 5:00 I was getting ready to head onto the highway when I smelled something burning then saw smoke coming out of my hood. I turned around and pulled into route 114 Sunoco. I was very shaken up because I wasn't sure what was happening. I was immediately greeted by Kamil. He assured me everything would be ok and took my truck right in to his mechanic. They showed me that my alternator was melting and could have blown up if I kept driving. He called me the next morning, Saturday, and told me my truck was all set to be picked up. When I say the service was amazing I mean it. Kamil and his staff are wonderful and know their stuff! DO NOT GET YOUR INSPECTION HERE! I made the mistake of taking my car here for a quick inspection after my dealership pointed out that my inspection sticker was expired. The guys seemed nice enough, said they could inspect it quickly. After 5 minutes the mechanic came over shaking his head saying that one of the treads on one of the tires was ONE millimeter too low. He listed my car as being "imminently dangerous" and stuck a big red R on the windshield. I should have known that they were trying to scam a young girl by how hesitant they were to put the sticker on my car. They told me that I had to buy two new tires and have them do an alignment before they would pass the car. I took the car back to my mechanic who said they had scammed me. I then called the dealship who had just done an inspection and documented my tires as being in "great condition." I took the car to another inspection location and they passed it immediately saying not to worry my tires were fine. I confronted the Sunoco owener and explained that the dealership and another mechanic said the tires were fine. He told me to "take it up with the RMV." These are not honest guys, they are horrible business people and there is no doubt in my mind that they took advantage of me. read more

Do not go here for an inspection. I was failed because I was told the ball joints on both sides needed to be replaced. Had 2 other mechanics and the dealership tell me there was nothing wrong. When I went back and confronted him about this, he said all 3 were wrong, but said he could grease the joints and that would allow me to pass, which sounds shady as all hell to me. If you do get an inspection, and they say something is wrong, get a second opinion first. Or just go to a place where they don't do repairs but just do inspections read more

My initial experience with Kamil and 114 Sunoco, was bringing in my car with a slow-leaking tire. The NTB across the street had - no joking - tried to sell me four tires. Anyway, they quickly put it on the lift, repaired the tire and then I waited to see what I would be charged. When he said $20, I shook his hand and thanked him for the quick service and honesty. My next encounter was with my son's car. An older Honda Civic which he uses to get back and forth on holidays from college. Kamil drove the vehicle, heard the sound my son was complaining of and diagnosed a part connected with the clutch. He told us that he could replace the clutch, but given the miles on the car, he didnt recommend putting the money into it, "You can get a lot of miles out of this car before you have any problems," he said, He was right: that was a year and a half ago and the car is going strong. I took my wife's BMW 330 in for a Massachusetts insepection last Wednesday (5/20/20/) and during the inspection, Kamil, the mechanic pointed out the rear brake pads were worn down to the thinness of a dime and the brake sensor was corroded as well which explained why she was not notified that her brakes were so worn down. He said he could do the brake job now and under 2 hours. He also quoted me an approximate price too. Well I was surprised when he had the car ready in less than 90 minutes, repaired (pads & rotors), inspected and a new brake sensor installed. The best was that the price was LOWER than his estimate which was amazing this day and age. I took Route 114 back to Salem and the brakes were as smooth and quiet as the day we drove it out of the showroom. Not only did I have great work done at a very good price, it was done with a smile. I learned that Kamil wasn't just the mechanic but the owner as well. He is a hard working family man who is down to earth and delightful to talk to. These guys are crooks. I went there for an oil change, and he told me I needed new brakes, but could "get me a good price". I told him I didn't have the money for brakes right now - he said he could do half now and half later. I told him I'd call him. I went to another station to repair a tire and asked them to check out my brakes. They said there was no visible problem, but took the car out for a spin just to be sure. Long story short, the brakes were fine. I was telling a friend about this and he had the same thing happen, except he actually bought the axle (guy told him axle was bent when he went in for an inspection) THe next year he went to get a new inspection and the guy told him his axle was bent - my friend promptly left never to return. Please don't get your car fixed here, there are plenty of other good honest places to do it - these people will find something wrong and try to get you to replace it whether or not its actually broken read more
