This used to be an amazing Advance Auto Parts store, thoughly lately it seems to have gone down…read morehill. Today was horrible. My wife had a 700CCA battery that I purchased last year and it died. It went to get an exchange today and was told to order a new one which is sized 124R with 700 Cold Cranking Amps. I ordered the same one and came to the store to pick it up and exchange it and they would issue the refund of the $150, so this made it my second visit today. They gave me the new battery and when I put it into my wife's SUV the positive and negative was reversed and I brought it back (my 3rd visit). I was blamed because I ordered the wrong part, it turned out that I was suppose to order 124R-1 instead, so I had to go back home and order the otherone and return a 4th time today. I was given the 124R-1, but this time with only 600 cranking amps. It is sad that they did not check to make sure that both batteries were the exact same before I left and that I now had to order another battery. I paid $300, which will be refunded, but this could of easily been avoided had the supposely professionals check to make sure that I was leaving with the right battery. With so many different specs on a battery and with the negative vs positive being on one side and sometimes being on the otherside, one would think that these professionals would double check before sending someone on their way out the door. It is bad that Advance Auto Parts no longer carries the 700CCA battery and now only carries the 600CCA version. Now I have a 16.5% weaker battery with less startup juice that will last less time and Advance is charging customers the same price for it. My battery was fine and it turned out that I needed a new starter for my car. He looked up the item number for me and told me to order it online and opt to have it picked up at the store (which I did). Doing it that way got me a discount. Henry gave us extraordinary customer service. He was just so nice and courteous and with the patience of Job. His personality was upbeat and positive. He let me know the services that the store offers for free, which includes battery check and installation, starter check, alternator check, windshield wiper installation, engine light check, and they will loan you tools. We bought windshield wipers while we were there and he put them on for us. I loathe car problems, but Henry made the situation much easier to deal with. After purchasing the starter, Henry referred me to a good mechanic in the area (that too was a good experience). I couldn't give 5 stars because while Henry is a wonderful example of customer service, some of the other employees left a lot to be desired in my subsequent visits. They weren't rude or anything, but just very dry and unwelcoming. I mean, greet me; don't wait for me to say something first. Customer service 101. After dealing with Henry, my expectations were way up. Anyway, Henry was wonderful and I will return to this store because of him.

We were methodical about it... until we met the crew at Solo Motorsports. For the last 3 years now, we've had all of our service issues handled there and have never had a single complaint. They are a small shop, with high personal detail given to each customer. Each time either I or my wife walk in or even call... they know who we are. They've made practical suggestions to keep our vehicle running longer and then made fun suggestions to see if we wanted to turn our quiet unassuming family SUV into a yuppie rocket wagon from hell!! We have always said that this is one of those vehicles that we will own until it dies. With help from Solo Motorsports... we plan on enjoying it and keeping it running for as long as possible. I'm not sure I'd ever take it to an Audi Service Center again. We're spoiled now.

I used Mike to replace 2 catalytic converters on my car. He did the 1st repair in a timely manner…read moreand gave me a warranty sheet to send into the company, Cateran and the warranty was supposed to replace the part if it went out before 5 years. The part actually went out before 12 months, and then he alluded that the warranty wasn't worth the paper it was printed on. If I wanted the part company, Cateran, to honor their warranty I would have to leave my car with him for at least 10+ days so that Cateran could get a warranty rep to come out. Needless to say there was no way I could leave my car for 10 days, so I had him replace the catalytic converter again and pay again. In the interim before the 1st repair went bad, I had him replace the 2nd catalytic converter. He used the same parts company, Cateran, and gave me a copy of the warranty to send into Cateran, which I did again. Now that the 2nd CC has gone out before 12months, Mike will not take my calls. Additionally, I have reached out to Cateran regarding their warranty (email response only, no phone#) they have not responded as well. Buyer Beware!!

I had an aftermarket exhaust that another shop installed for me that caused drivability issues…read moreabout 3 years. The issues started showing up after I had the exhaust installed but I wasn't sure if it was actually caused by the exhaust. The issue was the exhaust vibrating during wet rainy days when cruising on the highway severely where it bashes against the chassis causing the car rear end to fishtail where I have to slow down and focus to keep it in the lane on the highway. My personal mechanic helped me confirm what the issue was and showed me on a lift that my exhaust was merely millimeters away from my drive shaft. She showed me the exhaust was mounted kind of crooked and an exhaust specialist can help me correct the fitment. I was disappointed with the previous exhaust shop I had the exhaust installed at so decided to try a different establishment and found my way to Haddad Discount Muffler which wasn't far from the previous exhaust shop I initially got my exhaust installed at. My biggest problem with the other exhaust shop is that the owner just lets his junior do everything practically unsupervised which lead me to the situation I was trying to resolve. The owner of Haddad Discount Muffler took more of an active role. After I described what was happening with my exhaust and showed him where the exhaust was rubbing, he told me what he can do to resolve it. I ask him about the price quote because he doesn't except credit so I will have to used debit, I had to make sure the job was within my means to pay. He quoted me between $100 and $200 which was a safe range for me. I then told him the exhaust tips was crooked, and I can never get them to be symmetrical. He said he can adjust them and spot weld them, so they stay in place. I then finally told him I got new tips in the back of the car and that is when he said, this may affect the price as he has to see how well they fit. Now he got his junior over to work on my exhaust. I was worried as I can never seem to get the people with the most experience to do the work, but the owner took an active role. He told his junior where to cut, where to weld, he shifted everything into place and lined up and measured everything meticulously and kept asking me if I'm happy with where everything was sitting. I was happy to see him measure the distance the exhaust tips sit from each other and how far the sit from the side and top of the bumper. The replacement exhaust tips I have given him to install were much shorter than old cheap tips they replaced. Mike was skeptical that they would fit but I told him they don't need to protrude if they hug the bumper neatly, I would be happy with it. When he was done, the quad exhaust tips were sitting tight and symmetrical within the bumper, vastly improved over the way the previous tips fit. He had his junior spot weld them in place, so they don't shift but allows for easy removal if taken to exhaust specialists. The price ended up being well under $200 and I was very happy with the job.
