Had made it here off a jump and was told they were "short staffed" and couldn't change the battery, or even jump the battery to get me somewhere else. I lived in Hawthorne for about 23 years of my life and I've been to auto zone multiple times for multiple cars and this experience was awful. The manger there named "Will" laughed at me while I gave him a product I was gonna return because honesty I never used one product. The other product I bought their was a "ac pro" refil for my AC, which I used the full can only had a bit left. So I went to auto zone to return one product and get my vote deposit back from another, he looked up my number and proceeded to tell me I was lying and never purchased them there. He went back and forth for minutes got the attention of everyone wasn't acting professional as a manager should and made the whole situation look bad when all he could've done was treated me with respect and rang me up. Long story short they messed up the returns I made. I was only supposed to get $10 from the core and $10 off the other product. And they ended refunding me for $109.62. LOL that just goes to show this manger here at store #05388 young guy saying he is the manger and his name is will. Point i had this altercation with the manager rest of the staff was polite and doing there job. If the guy would've just treated me with respect ge wouldn't have confused himself that I was just retuning and getting core money back. read more

Miguel Miguel This kid had attitude as soon as I walked through the door and it was barley 9 in the morning, sir if you don't like your job that's not a right fit for you, he asks what kind of car I have and I give him the info and with attitude he asks what's the year, but whatever I kept calm, they don't have it but he tells me they have it in Hawthorne on 137th so I pay for it with Miguel, I walk back to my car and I heard the cap fall that I had lost, so I tell Miguel I need to return it and he gives me attitude his face said it all and he says sorry I can't you have to go to the other Hawthorne store and return it there??? Grace a manger here has bad customer service. She wanted to talk over me instead of listening. She told me, although I had my receipt, she doesn't know and the store manager would have to find out. Was in the area for an event and staying nearby at a hotel by LAX. Woke up to a dead battery, and after a jump, punched in AutoZone to go get a new battery. Came to this shop and they took excellent care of me. Loaned me a couple tools to swap the battery right there and ended up being under warranty and walked out of there without paying a cent. Was back on my way in about 20 minutes. These guys are pros and I really appreciate their service. read more

Autozone need management training/overhual on customer service for many of it's employees. No point walking in a store for items, if customer service is poor. I might as well order online instead. The sad part, is the sales girl (Alyssa P) was more helpful than the manager. During this time of COVID 19 a lot of stores are offering At home delivery however I was misinformed. I wish I could give this more than three stars, because it's one of the closest to our area and customer service is usually good, but can be hit and miss, give and take....you get it. But the fact that the area its in is less desirable and the people with their rude behavior - like rats pushing you aside to get ahead of you or completely ignore the fact that you were there first and walk in and stand in front of you. It's definitely a free for all with no structure or order, when it comes to serving the customers who were first, waiting there patiently. Oh well, it shouldn't be a surprise. A couple of times they'd given us the wrong part, even though we'd gave them the correct information/specs, but they always exchanged or refunded with no issues. And there's always that one service clerk that's got to shove extra items you don't need down your throat, even though we continue to shoot them down with "not interested", just give us our stuff. Well hopefully they will consider putting a location closer to Westchester/El Segundo or even Manhattan Beach, I hate coming here. read more

I had an awesome experience at O'Reilys on Crenshaw & Imp Hwy, in Inglewood CA. from a very helpful manager, JR. So, i go in to buy tail light bulbs, from OReillys bc their competitors across the street didnt have the bulb needed & cldnt remove my lens to check the ones I needed anyway. Fortunately, JR ask to see the bulbs, came out to my car & removed the tail light len, which he had to use, all type of tools that I didn't possess nor wanted to. He used things like a ratchet, screw drivers & trim removal tools on my nissan altima. This is what surprised me bc their competitor told me i had to go to a mechanic that worked on nissans to remove the taillight case. But first i needed to buy the bulbs for the tail light. Back to JR, once he pulled the cover off, removed screws & nuts from the case, he check the lights - not working then he notice the switch. There he found the problem, my bulbs weren't working bc the switch had been unplugged. He plugged everything back & the lights work. That's customer service! He went beyond the call of customer service & gained a new long time customer. read more

Customer service overall needs improvement. Management needs to do better in training new hires and actually train them before putting them on shift it's ridiculous. Looked for everything I needed using the part #s by myself by taking a picture of the computer screen. After scavenging through the aisles I finally gathered everything I needed got ringed up and wasn't able to put in my phone number to gain customer points ?! The cashier told me it was too late and I wasn't able to do it because I paid with Apple Pay !? If you have any car needs I suggest you drive down a couple miles to another autozone. read more

Mauricio was not helpful at all I asked for an alternator for a bmw325i and he couldn't find the correct model when I asked if he could test my alternator he said the machine was broken.. after looking he found the "correct alternator" priced at $350 :/ I called the local O'reily and asked for the same part over the phone and the person was able to give me a $155 price for the correct part autozone was a total waste of time and Mauricio needs to show more enthusiasm while working especially if you're working with the public. read more

OMG i wish i could give negative 1000 starsNever again am i going to coming to any autozone for any mechanical needs (small things like amorall is fine but nothing that goes in the engine of my car) every time i've bought a part from autozone their parts give me trouble. this time they gave me a defective alternator which blew out my battery. and when i went back to them to make things right they wouldn't work with me. I had already paid for the part and labor and they said they only thing they will do is take the product back for full refund (well no duh i bought the product less than a week ago its still under warrantee your obligated to take it back for a full refund). being a student who's living on pennies they didnt help one bit or feel unsympathetic. they tried to blame my car for being at fault and not their part even after i had to pay someone to test the alternator and they said it wouldnt charge properly (the amp was to low) they said that they didnt do it correctly and they had to take the alternator out and have it tested. honestly that shouldnt matter. if its a bad part its a bad part that can ruin a car. horrible custormer service the people there blow hot air as if they know what they're talking about but have no idea what they are taliking about. they thing that just because i'm a girl i dont understand. read more
