Went to get some replacement wiper blades for my friend's car that I am borrowing for a few days. The selection of blades was very good and the prices were reasonable. The store itself is a mega auto supermarket with lots of items like steering wheel covers, car covers, motor oils, floor mats, cleaning products, filters, etc. The guy helping me out was nice and friendly. I was told by a mechanic that I needed both rotars and pads front and back. Prior to going in I called up a few auto stores and was happy to find that AutoZone had a special. So, obviously they would be better, however it was only that which made them better. I actually called in 3 times. There are semi metallic and ceramic and j wasn't sure which was best for my car, but mine actually requires a ceramic. I got great help here in between the local employees and help from the company in general. At first, a crucial part was missing from the box (oil cooler) that I ordered - and it was missing again when re-ordered. Two times in a row! This was clearly a manufacturing issue, not Autozone's, as Autozone ordered this specialty item which was a kit, for our old, beautiful car directly from manufacturer. Autozone btw was the only store that had these items and we looked high and low on national websites. We were totally depending on Autozone here. The local employee (young kid at the store) at Autozone first ordered the missing part separately just to get it to me asap and to make up for it missing from the kit. He went out of his way to locate it and order it separately. And was determined to make things right, I could tell. Alas, it was not the right fit. (I got all my money back) When we found out, that I really needed a whole package/kit from their manufacturer/vendor again, Autozone went out of its way to make sure that ultimately, I got all the right parts which are very hard to come by. A third package was thoroughly checked before sending it directly to my home to ensure this time it had all the parts. Special thanks to Nathaniel Stewart from corporate and to the young man who so tried to help me out at this local Autozone store first. Seeing such dedication in the store went a long way in alleviating my initial frustration about the missing part in the kit (which I rationally understood was out of their control anyway), but I was frustrated and huffing and puffing because I already had the car in the garage. If you wanna go to a place that definitely will not help you and kind of mock you while you ask questions that you obviously don't know the answers to; but they will tell you to google it, then you found it. I asked them if they had anything that would test out my car if I needed Freon. After a odd pause and looking at me from head to toe, he said no. And pointed to where they have the Freon. Asked which one was the one for my car type cause idk. Was told to google it. Asked how it works to install. Once again was told to google it. So either this guy is a google spokesperson or just an asshole is unclear to me. A customer that was also not having it with this business melancholic work ethic told me to go to auto parts where they test and help u install the Freon. So I left as did the other customer. The only reason for three stars here was the service. I stood in line and waited for few minutes. Finally, one clerk that was helping another couple, called for someone to help me. So I went into AutoZone to purchase a replacement bulb for my headlight - the Cashier asked me the make and model and if it was low/high beam. I said I didn't know if someone could check. She ignored my request and proceeded to look up info on the computer. She said the bulb was the same for the low/high beam and they didn't need to go outside and check. When I asked her then why did you ask, the look of disdain was palpable. Well AutoZone, you're not the only game in town. O'Reilly is right down the street and they were more than helpful and had no problem coming out and checking AND installing the bulb! Bye Bye Karen! read more

I called to get a replacement low beam headlight and brake lights for my car. They said they had them but I get there and the attendant ends up grabbing the wrong headlight bulb that doesn't even fit my car. I confirmed what I needed when I arrived and yet I get home and can't even drive my car because it is night time and I don't have two headlights. I called and they offered to swap it out but I couldn't come back immediately. I returned the next day hoping that their customer service would've prompted them to offer a discount considering I wasted my time and gas to get there only to be sold the wrong product. They did a swap out and did not offer anything. I swap out the bulb and when I get home I see that they gave me the replacement High beam now! I'm so pissed. This locations attendants are clearly incapable of their jobs! I would post a 0 star if I could! Do not go here. There is an O'Reilly's right down the street close by. read more

When he could of reworded his whole answer instead of it being a smart ass. Why work in a auto zone an don't know anything about cars? But you know the employees always right lmfaooo. So I took my business to O'Reilly Auto Part that's down the street and they took care of me. The woman at the counter helped right away and then the most awesome service manager Nicholas came and not only put in the bulb but showed me how and also why they add grease to the bulb. I understand working kind of sucks but if you have a job, you should do your job. People here have horrible work ethic. I purchased a battery yesterday with my husband & the associate, who was an older over weight gentlemen was so rude & didnt even want to help us. We bought the battery & asked him to install it for us & his response was "man, you could do it yourself. Its even cheaper". Super rude. I went to the location on 3570 N Andrews Ave Oakland Park, FL 33309. I had purchased to headlight bulbs for my vehicle spent close to $60. One build lasted less than 3 weeks. The Auto Zone in Hollywood Fl. The manger was very help and professional and did replace the headlight bulb. Today I was close to the Auto Zone located at 3570 N Andrews Ave Oakland Park, FL 33309. The Manager Jesus Guerra was a complete unprofessional a total piece of shit telling me he could not help me just saying I had to buy another headlight bulb. He even recommended I go to O Reilly. When I requested his name and his supervisor name and contact info. He gave me a pen and told me I can write his name down myself and I can go to the door and get the supervisor's info myself. I have given Auto Zone my business for years. Thanks to this experience I will go to O'Reilly and publicize this experience to others. Do not Give Auto Zone your business. Employee Marco was another jerk. Darwin was also useless! I called the District Manager & Regional Manger and have not received a response. I hope this distributor goes out of business! read more

Horrible. Whenever you call in to ANY AutoZone, they put you on hold forever!!!!!!!!!!! All I want is a price on a simple fucking part, and I can never get anybody to come back to the phone. This is with EVERY location! I don't even want to deal with them for anything anymore because of this shit. Their customer service is horrible, and they sell cheap junk parts. Shame on me for buying spark plugs from here for my higher-end German vehicle. They lasted a week. They were made in China, who would've thought? The ONLY reason that I bought them instead of going straight to the dealer to get my OEM plugs was not the issue of money, but because I needed them right away and the dealer didn't have them in stock. I ripped these right back out when the dealer had them in stock and brought them back to AutoZone. Then they tried to give me a store credit, when I paid cash and I had the receipt for them. Some of the parts here are also re-built and they don't tell you. The employees are morons and know nothing about cars. And also very rude in my book. On one occasion, I went to get my battery tested and the guy told me that they don't check batteries after 6:00 P.M., even though they're open until 9:00 P.M., when in the past I've had it checked up until they close. At another location, I stopped by to get my car scanned for codes because I had a check engine light on, and the guy said he'll be right out and never came outside. When I went back in, he told me that he has to wait for somebody else to do it because he doesn't know how. REALLY?! I'm a woman and even I know how to hook the scanner up to the car computer for codes. Terrible!!!!!!!!!! The only reason that I've gone here is because their prices are cheap, but you get what you pay for! read more

My experience was terrible. An employee "tested" my battery and told me I had a bad alternator. I agreed to purchase a new alternator and she referred me to a mechanic she knew who said he would install the alternator for $700 (!!!!). I went to a mechanic that someone else gave me the name of, and there was nothing wrong with my alternator OR battery -- just a loose terminal. Total scam. read more
