Brought my car in 3/10 it was hot outside my air blowing cold. Never had any problems with my A/C…read more But my car was not running properly when I took it in, so had them check it. My mechanic had already checked it in the ABS was not communicating with car. He told me it had to be programmed by Subaru so I should take it to them. So I took it to the dealership to have them look at my car and they told me it was my VDC which controls the ABS. They did not find anything else wrong with the vehicle or make me aware of anything else wrong with the vehicle. Part was on back order so I could not pick up the card March 26 upon picking up the vehicle before I even left dealership could feel the air was not blowing cold. I also noticed a hesitation when I was driving it. Came back to the dealership had service advisor drive the car he told me he drove fine. Told me that they'd have them look at the Ac. McKenna came out and told me I was low on Freon. Never mention anything else wrong with the air conditioning, even though air conditioning was working perfectly fine when I got there. Charge me almost $4000 to replace my VDC. Had to bring her back in because AC was not working properly and was still hesitating when accelerating between 40 and 45. They now give me an estimate of $1500 to fix my AC but that didn't include compressor that was another $1900 and then over $9000 for my transmission. I would've never spent the $4000 on the BDC had I've been made aware of the other things wrong with my vehicle even when I picked it up when they said I was low on Freon never mentioned anything about my air condition leaking. I have done numerous research on the Internet and found out that a lot of times when they replacing the VDC component, they can damage the compressor O-rings in the air conditioning. Subaru is refusing to take any responsibility. It seems very suspicious that all of a sudden AC and my transmission now needs replaced.
