[[HIGHLIGHT]]I was treated unbelievably well by Dennis at Autozone this morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]First, he was the one who answered my phone call about replacing the burned out lowbeam headlight on our Toyota Corolla. He carefully looked up the light I needed by year and car make and let me know it was available for a very reasonable price.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So I headed over there, hoping to get one in time to also find a mechanic shop closeby to install it, all before going to work. Well, I didn't end up having to worry about that last part! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I walked in the door and Dennis had the light ready for me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But it went further than that: he actually walked outside to the parking lot and installed it for me too! In less than 12 minutes, I'd purchased my light AND had it installed - problem fixed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I tried to tip him for his time and expertise but he refused my money in the way that only the most gracious, classy "old soul" kind of person would do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Autozone is lucky to have Dennis representing them. I used to buy all of my parts here, for my car or others.. Today, THIS STORE requires customers to come into the store physically and pay for parts. Otherwise they REFUSE to order parts they don't keep in stock. My windsheild wiper popped off while I was on the bridge. A very kind Autozone employee, Sam, helped me at 630pm on a rainy sunday night fix it even though they did not have the exact right part. Walked in to get some air freshener and asked him where it's located. He looks at me while he was high off the chemicals in the store and said right there. No pointing. No nothing just right there. I'm like where? Behind you. So I go pick up an air freshener and come back to counter he's like. Is that all, I say yes it's the only thing I have.. with an attitude he's like cash or credit? I say cash. He says in a rude tone. Well over here!!! I go to the next register with him. He throws the air freshener on the counter. I ask him if he's having a bad day or if he's tired he should go home because with an attitude like that that's not good customer service. Possibly the friendliest auto store I've ever been in. Had some battery issues on an older car, came in to get a portable jumper (amazing little box with two battery leads that charges via usb and has an air compressor). Weeks later after confirming the battery was toasted, came in to get a new battery. If your terminals aren't corroded they do the install for you and core dump fee is refunded. Super cool! Kameron helped me both times...he's great. No nonsense and friendly. Yay! read more

I took the crappy 250$ battery I bought here back once again to be charged and tested .this is sriLL under warranty and it really needed a replacement. Auto zone keeps staying its ok. It's not. They have a really great way of taking care of it. I go back to pick it up and it's gone. They say it was sent back to someplace. It's still under warranty and they said they send it back and we are out. It cost $250. 7O7Folks you really need to check online before you get a poor product at incredibly high prices. Above and beyond customer service from manager Luis. I had a pandemic battery problem and he and his team quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. I needed a new battery which they provided at a great price including warranty. I had been considering calling a battery focused mechanic to come fix the problem but AutoZone and Luis provided a more effective and efficient solution. the store manager, MIKE, is really rude and does not have any customer service at all. i was in the store for a work related item, i was told by one of the associates that they take checks. my company usually pays for parts with cash or card, but i brought in a work check as a secondary payment. i was talking to one of the guys at the front and MIKE immediately cuts off guy who was helping me at the front. MIKE and the guy who was helping me, switches computers so MIKE comes over to try and help me. MIKE sees that i have a check and told me that they cannot take checks, so i'm confused because someone in the back told me they do take checks. at this point i'm like okay, cool, no check. i understand and can hear MIKE loud and clear. but for some odd reason, MIKE starts raising his voice and tells me "WE CANNOT TAKE CHECKS, WE CANNOT TAKE CHECKS, WE CANNOT TAKE CHECKS" NONSTOP. after him constantly and repeatedly saying that in a tone that is not "customer service" i told him i do not want him helping me out, and that i will wait for the first guy at the front, to continue helping me out. MIKE proceeds to tell me that they cannot take checks, again, i heard him the first time. MIKE tried to ask me why i'm being disrespectful towards him, sir you repeatedly raised your voice at me (multiple times) about you not taking checks after i heard you the first time. So, let me first say: I hate walking into any auto parts store. I went to a competitor's store (located on 16th and Bryant) looking for a replacement bulb for my headlight. Upon purchasing, I asked the man at the counter if we would be able to help me install it. He wasn't able to, (understandably for liability reasons.) HOWEVER, he was somewhat rude. Saying no is completely fine. However, one doesn't have to be rude with, said, response. After looking up some YouTube videos, I spent the next half hour outside trying to remove the bulb. The instructions were easy enough and the bulb plug-in area was easy to access. That said, I could not unplug it for the life of me! I tried to muscle my way but to no avail. I remember having a previous good experience from AutoZone so made my way down that way. I asked if they could help me just unplug the damn thing (with the intention that I would finish the installation.) Not only were they ready to help, he walked me through and showed me how to do it step-by-step! While I understand protocol and liabilities, the kindness that Caesar showed me far exceeded anything I could have asked for. Kindness goes a long way - more than any protocol - and, because of the kindness I was shown today, I will be a long-time customer. Kudos for hiring the right and kind people! PS: Had Caesar not walked me through step-by-step, I'd be unplugging the completely wrong lights and would be replacing my high beams with low beam bulbs! read more

This location has friendly staff, and a small parking lot however in the 2 times I've came here I'm always able to find a spot. I'd recommend going to autozone for simple items that are easy to install yourself. I called a few hours before they closed to ask what time they were closing because I really needed some parts to fix my aunts car they said 9pm. I work two jobs have a young child so accurate timing is important to me. I show up 11 minutes before 9 young guy meets me at the door were closed! We have inventory. Since I shop at this location a lot I know damn well inventory isn't there strong suit never have a damn thing right. How hard is it to just do your job for 10 more minutes you work at autozone I know its gotta be depressing while scrubs are stacking fake edd claims that make your paycheck look like pocket money but really. Getting the man good for 10 minutes thats helping you sleep at night? Doing your job right with some respect for a customer trying to get in and out would definitely be worth more than the $2.50 pocket lint your coming up on while having to lie. This Autozone has some really helpful staff. You will usually see them outside helping someone change their battery, headlight or break lights. I've even seen some staff here go above and beyond and patch someone's tire or change air filters. If they aren't slammed inside they will definitely lend a helping hand. The biggest downside is that it would probably be better to go in person because the phone wait can be a long time. I tend to just look on their website for parts and call to see if they physically have it on their shelf. read more

Bill greets me with a warm hello and I tell him what I need. He asks if my car is in the neighborhood then disappears into the back. He comes back with a charger and then explains how to use it. I initially thought he was going to come with me because the battery looked expensive but he just said "bring it back when you're done." I thanked him profusely and said I would return it and he replied "don't worry, I know you will." He didn't have to do that, and that level of trust and faith in a random stranger is seldom seen.
