They're honest and friendly, which means a lot considering my horrible experience with Midas and other shops. Preferably come early, as they get busy throughout the day. Got there when they opened for a nail on the rear driver side tire and left less than an hour after, but service time definitely depends on what you're asking for. and that's why i do business with unique automotive i brought my 68' olds 4-4-2 to unique automotive. i needed brakes all around, turned out i only needed rear brakes. the front brakes only need to be cleaned up from the rust and dirt build-up around the drums. now any other shop could have claimed to have done all 4 brakes and charged me for it. i have taken my 4-4-2 in for other reasons and most of the time have gotten my car back in a short time, especially oil changes in less that 30 mins. i trust these guys that's why do done business with them for all most 15 years. I would never return here again. This place is full of perverts. I had a young man help me out but instead of helping me out he was constantly throwing himself at me with these sexual comments. He could barely speak english and the little that he did speak was telling me that I had a very nice body and the things he'd do to me if we were alone. I told him I was married but that didn't seem to stop him. I wanted to jump in my car n leave that place. Never have I been so uncomfortable. He tried to touch my lower back when he was showing me what was wrong with my car. That place is full of perverts who try to take advantage of female customers. Never ever again will I return. I feel SO grateful to have worked with Unique this weekend. We had worked with a different shop last week for a brake job which ended up getting botched. Unique was open on Saturday, so I brought the car over for a 2nd opinion. They quickly diagnosed the remaining issue, and it was completely fixed by the early afternoon. Took my car in on on Wednesday (6/11), with brakes that wouldn't grab at all. SCARY. Anyways, they diagnosed the problem & called me within an hour with the work & the price. It was reasonable, much less than what I would have got somewhere else. They replaced the parts & I had my car a few hours later. YAY! Hi all, I am a twice a year customer of Unique Automotive (at Mission and Ocean avenue) I bring my 1981 Datsun and my Mitsubishi for oil changes and repairs. Daniel, the manager always tries to accommodate no matter how busy and besides he knows cars inside out and is very professional. Today, was no different, except that I had broken my elbow recently and couldn't put air into tires on my own! So I stopped by Unique Automotive on my way to work and explained to Daniel my state of (temporary) disability and that I needed their help to pump air on my tires! He said no problem, immediately called one of his workers and voila tires with air again and I could go on my merry way. To all the guys who work there, this means a lot! Poor service, over priced cheap parts, long wait and the list could keep going. My brakes were squeaking as soon as I left the mechanic shop. They used O'rally brake pads and charge me three times more then O'rally for the parts. I recommend finding another auto shop that values your business and use more Quality parts. read more

The crew at Unique Automotive took awesome care of me and my wife after we experienced a flat tire on highway 280. We arrived there Saturday afternoon on our spare tire and they were able to confirm our old tire had been damaged and then mounted and balanced a new tire quickly and at a very reasonable price. We really appreciated the fact that they squeezed us in while they were working on other cars. The staff at Unique automotive were very professional and patient with me when I repeatedly brought my car back for a tire low on air. I had a new car and the dashboard light went on telling me that my tire pressure was low. I took it in to Unique auto and they repaired it. After I got home the light went on again, I tested it with my tire pressure gauge and it said it was still low. I took it back they checked it and said it was fine and my gauge was not reliable, they reset the dashboard light. The next day the light went on again. I went back and had them check the other front tire, they took it off and checked it off telling me their was no leak. I then had them show me the reading for each of my tires from their tire pressure gauge. The tire pressure was at the manufacture's specifications. It turns out that when there is any adjustment to the tires the dashboard light is inclined to go on. They were so patient and helpful. Prior to this visit I had used them for years to do minor maintenance on my car. They always did a good job at a reasonable price. Once my new car is out of warrant, I will be back. read more

Previously all I've had done here was an oil change. I was very impressed that they spent so much time looking at my auto, in search of a drip I was having. They must have spent an hour to thoroughly look things over using several different methods and I was so appreciative of the time they devoted. They didn't even charge anything for all of that time they spent, and they thoroughly explained what I should look for, and the potential causes. I strongly recommend them for all your auto repairs. I am really happy to have found this garage. Ask for Alberto... He is a knowledgable mechanic who provides great customer service. I had a serious issue with my wheel. I heard a loud crack while driving over a pothole. Later, I realized that my wheel was bowing out. It was no bueno!! I took my car to the garage where Alberto inspected it. He suspected that the mounting that the struts from my wheel bolt into had snapped. I agreed to replace all of it. Alberto had my car back to me promptly. He showed me that he was right and we inspected the snapped mounting and shredded strut. My car has been driving great since. read more
