Not a very good experience. I took my rear-end from my 1972 nova in for new gears and seals. Paid a…read morehefty price even more than just replacing the rear-end with an aftermarket. When i picked it up they gave me the oil to put in instead of them checking for leaks themselves. As soon as I put the rear-end in the car the brand new pinion was leaking. Gave Phil a call (after numerous avoidance) and he said just drive it and it will seal over time. Well the leak became worse so I stopped in the shop a few times and of course Phil was no where to be found. The guy at the counter made a copy of my bill and left it on Phils desk and Phil was supposed to call me back. Haven't heard a word and probably never will. I was trying to help out a local business but this business does not support its work. As part of a car club I will make sure i do not send any work to him in the future. TERRIBLE Business ethics!!!

Unlike many of the local auto service shops that make you wait forever and attempt to seduce you with free coffee, these guys get right down to business. Best of all, they're honest. I walked in on a busy Monday morning and asked to have my tires looked at, since they were at least five years old. The owner, Russ, was fabulous. He walked me out to my vehicle to show me that (huzzah!) my tires were only half-worn and didn't need replacing yet. (Had I strolled into another local tire place, I probably would have gotten the old, "Oh wow. You've been driving on these for how long? They must be changed immediately!"-routine.) But not Russ and his crew. The one suggestion the owner made was a tire rotation, which I took him up on. Service was speedy and the staff was very customer-friendly. Honesty in the automotive industry is so difficult to find these days. Five stars for Oriskany Garage Tire & Auto!
