I came in, without an appointment to get my tires checked out for uneven roll and put wheel locks on.But, after Isaiah test drove and after checking my vehicle on the lift for warn shocks and warped tires, I was assured I was safe. I was here for an alignment and tire rotation and was told i needed 2 new tires soon, this wasn't a surprise so i had the guy working the front order me 2 which were to be arriving in a couple days. The wheel alignment / rotation was quick and the front desk guy was super efficient! (I'm searching my brain to remember his name cuz he was awesome ) . It would have been 5 stars if this was my only experience... Called a couple days later and the tires were in so i popped in to have them put on, even with no appointment they got me in right away. The bad part was the utter confusion finding the tires i ordered. I hadn't paid for them so there was no receipt but the guys working the front that day (different than the first guy) has a difficult time figuring it out. Had a flat on the way to work and luckily found this Mavis before a blowout. Everyone was very friendly; I was taken quickly and was out within 40 minutes with a new tire. Javier León was the Mgr. He was very personable and he treated the customers like friends & family. I bought tires from him. I came today and there is a new crew. Kendal is the Manager, and Ronny is the Assistant Manager. Very nice. I came for what I thought was an easy oil change, although I had notice something strange while driving. He showed me the different issues found and there were several critical ones and expensive. The company offered credit and six months interest free which allowed me to do the repairs They took the car in and are still working on it. read more

I've been to this location a few times and they always are helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to my car. Tgey always seem to help me when im frazzled over my car. They replaced my alternator, twice (the ex refused the bigger, better battery, lmao). This time I was sent over by a sister store after getting a repair and to get my car reinspected. The guys took their time with each person regardless of how crowded the lobby was. They took the time to explain and to work with customers on the repairs for their cars and gave a each a rate with parts, labor etc. broken down. A fair price. Not being taken for a "ride" is great when it comes to repairs. Despite the store being pretty full, I was in-and-out in less than 2 hours for an inspection and oil change. They even put my new sticker in the window for me. I really appreciated that. Thanks guys you're the best! Note: I ended up adding on an oil change, since it was next on big baby's to do list. Went in to have one tire and exhaust looked at. Made an appointment and everything. The low tire pressure light was on that I wanted addressed. They couldn't get the exhaust parts that day (saying it was the pipe and muffler) and replaced the tire, price was high for that as well. They said they would call back the next day about the exhaust. I had to call, because they did not. They remembered me and said they have to check and would give a call back in 15 minutes. Two hours later I call back, another person picks up and says they will update me later. Nothing. I went elsewhere to get the exhaust fixed (and they said the muffler didn't even need replacing). Well...the pressure light is still on, and I needed to go elsewhere to get the exhaust fixed. The only reason it's not one star is because I was able to drive away (albeit with the light still on). read more

Needed 4 tires for my HHR. The customer service lady, I think her name is Angela, didn't have 4 of the model tire I wanted, but instead gave me the tire model up for the same price! What a sweetheart she is. We conversed which made the time go faster. I also got a state inspection. During conversation I mentioned I was a veteran & she included a veteran's discount. The no nonsense shop manager, Rishi. made sure work was being done right, didn't mind getting his hands dirty to help get the job done & they were busy. Clean seating area & air conditioned, filtered water dispenser, shop area clean, restroom very clean & employees kept their area clean. Overall I liked this shop & found a shop to do my repairs. They work with customers not to take every penny they can get out of you. Not that far from where I live. You can schedule a repair appointment online. Give 'em a try. read more

I showed up about 15 minutes before my appointment and I was told it was possible I wouldn't be seen that day and I should have a seat and wait a few minutes. I was sightly annoyed since I made an appointment specifically to avoid this but I waited. A few moments later I was told I would get the new tire that day. Great service fast and reliable only mavis I've been going to for years hands down the best

Can't believe how much time I spent at this place today (4.5 hours) just to change a set of tires I brought with me. Yesterday I was told the service would take 1 hour and that the best time to come was at opening (9am), so I made an appointment for 9. I showed up at 8:57 and there was already no parking left and 10 people in line in front of me. By the time I got to the counter, I was told it was now a 2 hour wait. So I hung around the neighborhood waiting for a call that never came. At 2.5 hours, I came back to see my car still outside, with the same wheels on it that I arrived with. When I checked with the attendant, I was told I was next and that it would be 45 min to an hour more. I ended up waiting TWO MORE HOURS! The same back-and-forth was happening with all the other waiting customers as well. The frustrating part isn't even that the service took a long time -- it was the disingenuousness. If they had just been upfront about the timeframe, I would have planned to drop off my car and take the bus home until it was ready. But when you tell me it's going to be an hour, or even two, it's not worth it to go home when the trip would take 40 minutes one way on the bus. 4.5 hours, however, is a HUGE difference! I would have been so much happier going about my day while waiting for a call. I will not be going back here, especially as other customers said it's been like this every time they've come. I will say the employees were very friendly. I have no issue with them per se, but the way that reservations and time are managed as a whole is unacceptable. Not a bad place. I have had oil change and state inspection done here. Management seems nice and most fees are posted. They also give estimates to customers and the technicians don't look as shady like the ones who used to work at the previous business (R&S Strauss) at the same address. Hopefully, they keep up the good work. Edited on December 29th. This place has become what most of those mechanic shops end up coming. They prey on non suspecting customers, exacerbating an issue to get them to spend unnecessary dollars. If you are a woman, watch out for they will try to get you to spend unnecessary dollars. How unfortunate when businesses resort to this type of behavior. A friend of mine went there recently to ask about the air in her tires. She ended getting a quote for over 1500 hundred dollars suggesting that she needed shocks changed. Nice! I wonder what type of regulation occurs with these types of businesses. Consumer affairs ought to look into this one and investigate them for shady business practices. Shame on them! They don't deserve 1 star--more like "bad apple." read more

SCARY EXPERIENCE!! I went there on May 8th 2020 to get new tires. None of the mechanics wear masks potentially spreading the coronavirus inside all the customers' cars. The guy working the cash register and handling everyone's credit cards was not wearing a mask or gloves and was close talking customers too. Thanks for putting your customers' health at risk....very irresponsible. I wonder what liability they have for not taking proper precautions. Came there for a 4 tires (they had the best price). When I was there I found out they do more than tires so also had them change the oil and do the state inspection. I'm always worried that the mechanic will try to force me into doing stuff I know I don't need to do yet, or over priced me, but they didn't! They did tell me that I will need to replace the brakes soon (which I knew so again, I know they didn't just try to make money). Very polite and nice. I will be back. read more

Horrible service. Called me to "confirm" my appointment that I made via their website and assured me that they would be able to accommodate my tire needs. But when I show up, one of their representatives says that they're "slammed" and to come back Saturday. I explained the situation that I have two bubbles in my tire and it's not safe to drive with the tires under that pressure. He casually said "you'd be alright" you can come back another time to get them fixed. Horrible customer service, dismissive attitude, and now i refuse to get my tires there. I waited in their lobby for 10 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. Stay clear away, they just waste time and people's safety is clearly a joke to them. Truly a ZERO STAR experience, a waste of my time with nothing but excuses. November 17, 2018 I'm posting here as I am not able to post to their direct website. I have been to this location a couple of times in the PAST with no issues and was treated exceptionally well. On this occasion I scheduled an appointment and upon scheduling I asked if the parts could be pre-ordered so as not to have to waste an hour or so waiting for delivery and was told no problem. Two days prior to the appointment I received a phone call to confirm, actually, they didn't even leave a message so I called back and found that the call was to confirm the scheduled appointment. Again I asked if the parts would be pre-ordered and arrive earlier than the appointment time and again was told that it would not be a problem. The day of the appointment I arrive and find that the parts were not there. and they weren't sure how long it would take. I explained that I asked on more than one occasion to make sure that the parts would be there before arriving and was told that it WAS NOT A PROBLEM. For me to have to wait an undisclosed amount of time for the parts to arrive after being assured that they would be there is highly inconsiderate. The manager states that he is "sorry" he wants to make it "right", states that I didn't speak with him, but someone who represents the company did call and confirm and if the parts couldn't be there prior to my arrival why not let me know then. The manager then goes into the work bay and returns stating that HE SENT the parts back the day before because there was no name on it, I find that hard to believe as he was making that up to cover up a mistake. He then walks next door to Autozone to "Get the parts back". Comes back 5 minutes later stating it's going to take 1.5 hours to get the parts and dismisses me as if he's not responsible, too bad. Giving me some B.S. statement about "In a perfect world" I ask for the Regional Managers contact information and he gives me a Name, Mathew Levine and what I believe is bogus number as it didn't work. As I get upset he wants me to talk to him OUTSIDE, and NOT in front of other customers to not disrespect THEM. How am I disrespecting the other customers by informing them of the bull he's trying to pass on me? The other workers are very nice, the former manager whom I dealt with in the pass was credible as well. This Manager Kendall is a brown-nosing kiss ass, and as far as his "perfect world" statement. He's lucky that this world is not perfect as he is too stupid to be in one. I went to PEP BOYS and got the same parts installed for $150 less. UPDATE: November 19, 2018 The Regional Manager calls me in regard to the complaint filed and states that there is a microphone at the counter and he listened to the entire encounter defending his manager (Idiot #1) as if they did nothing wrong in the first place. He stated that I was the aggressor and he will not tolerate anyone talking to his employees in any aggressive manner. I became upset AFTER I realized that they did not honor the agreement and had to "find" the parts which would take 1.5 hours for them to arrive. Wouldn't anyone be upset after trying to assure that their time isn't wasted? When I asked If it wasn't the policy to have the parts ordered and delivered prior to the scheduled appointment why didn't they let me know it could not be done. No Reply by this Idiot (#2) When I asked about his manager trying to PAD THE BILL by stating that I needed to change my perfectly normal links on my shocks he had no reply (when the service was done at Pep Boys I was informed, as I already knew, that this was not needed as my links were fine.) When I asked the regional manager what was I supposed to do to allow his business to make it right after wasting more than an hour of my time, and wanting me to wait another 1.5 hours before they can even work on my car, This idiot (#2) states that they could have rented me a car while they worked on mine. Now what auto repair shop is going to rent a client a car while they replace the rear shocks, and I'm sure that would take at least 45 minutes to even acquire a vehicle. Idiot #2 doesn't want people to get upset at the incompetence of his business. I hurts their feelings. To reiterate, I had the exact same work done at Pep Boys with the exact same parts for $320 (tax included) when Mavis quoted me $465 before tax. Simply Ridiculous!!! read more

Was redoing a couple of 13 inch rims on a historic Volkswagen that I bought that I'm redoing I brought the rims in to have them take the tires off. I brought the rims back home. Bring them back in to have them mounted and balanced I was inside shopping for other tires for one of my trucks and I never realized they never balance the Tires so that we go to Vermont and I can only drive 60 miles an hour for five hours on a Friday night ? Nightmare ‍‍‍ I bring Truck back wheels on truck now ask him to balance tires like they were supposed to do in first trip Almost an hour and a half. I have never seen such a shoemaker joke operation in my life like this ‍ I see the guy trying to put my center hubcaps and my outer crome rims on And I told the guy to tell the guy just put them in the truck don't bother with them I will put them on ! So I just as I guess they were damaged, broke like 1/2 the clips that hold the center hubcaps on, and even damaged one of the hubcaps ‍ stay away from this place ! I might be lucky they did not drop my Volkswagen on the floor on the lift ‍ lift !!! Four days later, I called Place back to ask him if I have clips and the service manager. Will not be going back to Mavis (well, not this location). So, due to a pothole, I needed a tire replaced - JUST 1 lousy tire. I did all my research ahead of time, make/model of tire...I actually called Mavis early in the morning on a Sunday--and was told I had an appt at 12pm. So, arrived to Mavis a little early. Upon arrival, I noticed it wasn't that busy - there were 4 people ahead of me...but I was told I may need to wait "a little while". Well, I wasn't prepared for wait 2.5 hours!! I was not taken until past 2pm...and there was a guy that needed 4 tires replaced - and he told me he got to Mavis at 9am yet he was still waiting there at 2pm!! Why tell us we have appointments?!?! Such unprofessionalism...and lack of consideration for people. Also, they tell you to come by later in the day--yet don't take any customers past 2pm!! So disorganized. While I was there, one of the workers there told me that they do try to please their customers and also mentioned that there was an inexperienced newly hired technician that didn't secure some tire bolts enough or properly--and the person had to return as the tire almost came off!!! Then that same employee told me that this technician was merely put on probation! Never again will I go to this location. I hope other Mavis locations take more pride in customer relations.
