Imagine driving right as the sun goes down and realizing your headlights are out. It's definitely not the best feeling when you still have a long list of errands to run. I originally called the shop where I bought my aftermarket LEDs about 10 years ago, but they quoted me $300 to replace them. That felt pretty steep, especially since a big chunk of that was just labor. From the research I'd done, I knew the technology had come a long way and that swapping them out shouldn't be much more complicated than changing a standard bulb these days. Luckily, I stopped by the AutoZone on 82nd in Happy Valley. Bryon, the Parts Manager, was awesome. He walked me through my options and even assured me I'd get the same or better performance than my old LEDs. What I really appreciated was that he insisted on installing them for me right there. It turns out Bryon used to be a Service Advisor at Oregon City Subaru, so he definitely knew his way around my Impreza. While I probably could have figured it out eventually, Bryon saved me a ton of time and hassle by handling the install himself. Thanks to Jadyn for helping me install a new battery. It was a two person job as a bolt to the holding bracket was very hard to take out and we ended up only putting one of the two back in. It's secure enough for now. Hybrid's have a battery in the trunk, but almost intentional to make DIY extra tough getting the bracket off in a tiny, dark space. Will try myself to put the second bolt in later. I would have not been able to get the difficult bolt out without returning home 4 miles away had he not been there and it was obviously new to him as well. But, they do install when others won't and most other installs are probably a breeze. Also, this is a bigger store with more inventory and more workers. read more

Went in to purchase antifreeze, the guy working told me to use self check out. So I did and it wouldn't apply my Autozone rewards, so I asked him to void the transaction and ring up a new one using my points. He gave me a receipt showing a void, however it was never actually voided and I was charged twice. It went through on my credit card and I went in with the receipts and the "manager" tried telling me it was not them or their problem. Even though I had the receipt for everything and the bank charge. Do not recommend as they will charge you and then tell you it's not their problem. read more

I went in because I wanted to do a checkup on my car and one of the associates named Audrey helped me and even though she was pretty young, she seemed very knowledgeable and was very sweet about helping me with my car. 10/10 she made me feel really comfortable and did not talk down to me and explained everything very thoroughly. I could really feel how much passion she had for the job and it was really cool to see a young girl with so much enthusiasm in an auto parts job, like she wasn't just there for money. read more

Wow. I tried this location once more thinking my last horrible experience was just the employee had a bad day. I get it we all have bad days so I tried again, nope she was just as rude I don't know what is wrong with the "manager" of this place. Unprofessional horrible representative of AutoZone. I went into the store to get a new battery for my riding mower. I walked in and set the battery on the counter and was completely ignored. I am a 78 year old woman who had work clothes on and I think they thought I was a homeless person. 4 men came in after me and were all waited on. I went to a shelf and got the battery I needed and brought it to the counter and still no one asked if I needed help. Finally a young man asked if I was being helped and I said NO. He rang up my purchase and I went on my way with my battery. I guess old women don't get any recognition in an auto parts store. read more

Great staff very knowledgeable and fair priced

I tried to call one location they kept putting me on hold and would not pick up their phone. I called another location. They picked up their phone and told me that they had the belt for my car. I went to pick up the belt at the second location and they told me that they looked up the wrong year of car and they actually did not have my bill. I found a belt at a third location and drove out there to receive that belt. I went to go put that belt on my car and it was not the right size belt. Then I went to go return that belt that I had attempted three times to achieve and was still given the wrong belt and then they told me they would not give me my money back because I needed to have the debit card I purchased it with me. About inconveniencing you or even doing their jobs these people want to paycheck and they want you to go away so I am going to go away. I will be deleting the app. I will not ever step foot in an AutoZone again because you hire managers that will put $12 over a customer. I spend money with you guys and over 12 bucks. You guys sent me around the city ruined my day and then wouldn't give me a refund unless it was under your circumstances. Tested two parts on our distributor in less then ten minutes ( us taking the parts off took the only time ) and he was simply helpful, friendly and also wasn't eager to walk away when we were. I originally went to a different autozone to purchase headlights, for my suburu. The original store could not help me with replacing them. I went to this location, were I meet Martin Cerezo. The parts sales manager, he helped me replace both head lights. This was not super easy, having to remove the air filter on side then the battery on the other. Not to mention the plastic cap mechanism covering the lights. I really appreciate the help, especially considering I did not purchase from his store. Thanks again for the great service. read more

By far one of the worst autozone stores around. I was looking to purchase some very expensive equipment, but remembered i needed hard water remover for my personal car. When asking where on the shelves it was, i got a dumb look and a response of "there is no such product." I asked to see the manager as this dummy had no idea about the automobile business. She said she would ask the manager for me. A minute later, so returns and says the manager said to wash the windows and then WAX THE WINDOWS. Stupid people, i want to remove water marks not permanently embed them. The manager dis not care less and continued to hide at the back of the storage room. I left and traveled 0.2 miles north to find the next auto shop. Within seconds i was pointed to a selection of products to clean the windows and then continued on buying almost $2000 worth of high end items. You lose autozone because you can't hire quality staff. I am utterly appalled by the manager with short dark hair and glasses! He was completely rude to me. every time I started to explain what was going on with my battery he would interrupt me raise his voice and repeat the same BS every time. If he would have taken 5 second to let his customer talk he would have understood the situation.... In 2012 I bought a Duralast battery that they had a sale going on that came with a 7yr warranty(honestly the only reason I went with this Dura last battery)... When they looked up my information it said I bought the battery, returned it the same day, rebought it again then returned it the same day again then left it there... then rebought it a while later and returned it again.The battery was IN MY HANDS for the last 3yrs, it always came back with me (I still have this PoS)!! He kept saying over and over "we don't do sales on these batteries and that they NEVER come with anything but a 2YR WARRANTY"... I brought it back for a charging once and had them replace it twice because it just wasn't holding a charge... I replaced my entire charging system, alternator, regulator, etc... still nothing. When they looked up my info it had someone else's name next to mine and 4 vehicles that I definitely have never owned. He refused to listen to me. I recently brought the battery back today and ran into this extremely rude manager. So basically what I'm reading up on is that when I brought my battery back in to replace it with a new one, they didn't carry my warranty information over, but instead just had their regular 2yr warranty....SCAM! I am so livid. I have been doing business with this specific Autozone for many years and never experience this type of behavior from anyone there...ever. I honestly can say I will never do business with any Autozone ever again, and that really bums me out because I didn't just come to this auto zone because it was close. I came to it because every time I did they were very helpful and promt with getting parts for me. I strongly suggest going somewhere else. unless your into be berated by a complete jerk! My check engine light was on so I stopped here for their free electronic scanner test. It gave the code and they searched their computer and told me which part I needed. I bought the part. It is under the car and I cannot reach it so I made an appointment with my local mechanic. He explained that I had the wrong part and ordered the correct one. This took place over 4 days. I returned the part in the original box. It was unused, never installed. I gave Autozone my receipt and they asked me for both receipts. Huh? They said they give two with every purchase, one is for the warranty. He showed me two samples. They look identical except for a bar code on the bottom of one. I pointed out that I obviously bought it here, but the guy told me he did not care and refused to refund my money, $26. Somehow I had lost the 2nd receipt. That is not how to keep happy customers. Never again for me. Sure glad it was not a $500 part! read more

Martin C. Went above and beyond my expectations today. I came in because I was told my brake left light was out. I walked in and immediatley got greeted. As I walked up to the counter to ask about the brake light my kids needed to use the bathroom as kids always do. Anyway he let them use their bathroom and waited til they got back because of all the dangerous things back there. So he went outside to check my lights and it turns out they were burned out keep in mind there was a line and he needed to get back and he still made sure to give attention to my problem. He found the right light bulbs and when he was ringing up my transaction he joked with the kids to make them laugh since it was so boring being at the auto place. He then walked outside with me and replaced them himself and made sure they worked fine by having me brake and turn on the headlights etc. By far the best experience I have ever had. The wait every time I come here is nuts. Usually 1 or 2 guys while one is on break with at least ten people waiting. And this is just to purchase something! Also had a battery get checked out here only to tell me it wouldn't hold a charge after an hour. Took it to be replaced at les Schwab and guess what, it was perfect fine. I can only assume they didn't charge it. Some of the people they have are helpful enough but they are swamped all the time. read more
