I will not be taking my car back here to get serviced again. They're not good at communicating with people who do not understand cars nor do they fully document what they've reviewed. They said they fixed my vehicle and within a week it stopped working. They told me I needed a new battery but I took it back to the auto zone I bought it at 3 months ago who tested it at 100%. Never once on the paperwork or via phone was it explained that they did a deep dive test that found an issue that might not register directly on a more surface level test by autozone but no one reviewed that with me or made any note about it on the original paperwork that I could show autozone relating to my concern. I reached out to speak with a manager regarding my concerns 4 different times and not once did they reach back out to me. I wish I could just ignore my clients I don't want to talk to - highly unprofessional. I will be complaining to Subaru corporate about my experience. Do not take your vehicle here. I will be going to Vancouver next time. I finally heard back from a a manager who basically didn't give a crap about what had happened. It always feels very intimidating to me, trying to buy a car. The sales person who assisted me, Maricruz, was newer in her job, but her assistance was that of a veteran car sales person. She was incredibly thorough, answered every question in detail when needed, and was just incredibly friendly. No pressure at all. This approach took all of the intimidation factor out of it. My dad once told me "never judge a company based off their successes, but how they fix their failures." He had a company pave his new driveway and after a few months began cracking. He asked them to come fix their mistake and they said they would only repair a third of it because it would cost too much to repair the whole thing. My dad said "well I don't know how that's my problem. I already paid you to do the work." The company refused and lost out on over $50,000 of work my dad had lined up for his other properties. Similarly, Gresham Subaru knew upon selling me the vehicle that the door locks had been faulty. Two days after driving my car off the lot, two of my four door locks would not work. They said they would look into it and did fix the driver side door, but would not fix the rear passenger door because it would cost too much. Does that sound like a company willing to fix their mistakes? I worked with a newer salesman, and although this was his first Subaru sale, he was kind, patient, and open to learning. He took feedback well and made the experience smooth. Gio is one of the best sales person I have ever met. And no one likes car salesmen. I don't like them. Walked in to see a car we saw online. We were "helped" by David moose. We told him what we expected to pay had a trade in. After test driving a car we like then we started talking numbers. My husband and I spoke with kindness and respect. I was firm on what i expect, and wanted. After three attempts at selling us a car we didn't even ask for and a "deal" that was 10k over the cars value. We said no at which he stormed off to the front next to his coworkers where he proceeded to snicker and make remarks right in front of us. I've worked with multiple big dealerships in the past five years. I've never seen someone be so blatantly disrespectful and be backed by his managers. For service I've been going to Wentworth Subaru and Superior Imports for for years. A few people recommended Gresham Subaru for service, that it was worth the drive. It's not clear when you drive up if you should wait in your car or walk into the garage to check-in. Drew quickly diagnosed something Superior couldn't. And I didn't get invoice shock. They did try to cross sell me with "you have a dirty air-filter and need ______," but that's the norm with dealerships. I do slightly prefer Wentworth's customer waiting area. Robin, the Service Tech, was very nice. While I was waiting one of guys in the office was involved in a tense personal phone call. Maybe close your door. But it does suck having little privacy. He was tired from the night before, so he was not the most attentive. The sales manager should have gotten the commission; he did all the work. I was asked if I wanted a drink, I said a soda and was shown a vending machine in some back building. Really, you can't afford to serve soda to your customers? Finance Manager was relentless to sell extended warranty, made me feel uncomfortable. Sent several emails regarding various concerns but just got crickets. My 82yo mother took her Outback there for an oil change. After the oil change they told her there was an oil leak that needed to be fixed and it would cost over $3000 because they had to remove the engine. I looked under the car and saw no sign of a leak but took it to another dealer to be sure. The other dealer said there was no leak. Apparently Gresham Subaru is in the business of ripping off little old ladies by trying to do unnecessary service to make money. We called and made an appointment with Cassidy, a dealer there, and went to check it out. When we arrived, someone was there to open the door for us, which was not only terribly courteous, but helped me out because I had broken my wrist 2 weeks pior to our visit to the dealership. Cassidy was incredibly friendly and helpful. He took us on a test drive and worked with us on lowering the cost of the car, due to the radio being inoperative. We were able to easily finance the car with his assistance and he even went as far as to pick up my husband from the Gresham park & ride to take him to the dealership when we had to return our rental car. I have been a customer of Gresham Subaru since 2013 and I will never go back there for service on my Forester. I recently purchased an Outback for my 18-year-old. We took it in for an oil change and to have them determine the source of a rattling sound in the engine. They came back saying it needed $7400.00 of work during their 'safety' inspection. They claimed it needed a new head gasket when it didn't. I took it to another car repair place - whose owner drives a Subaru - and he said that not only did it not need a head gasket, he repaired the rattle at no charge. The only thing needed was new brakes and his quote was significantly less expensive than Gresham Subaru. I will never go back to Gresham Subaru. They're dishonest. read more

Either inept management or willing to lose a sale over a $330 scam. Grisham Subaru price matched Carr Subaru on the vehicle I was looking for. The proposal they offered added GAP insurance, extended warranty, and PULSE. I declined the GAP and extended warranty, and requested information on what PULSE was. They informed me it was a lighting system that flashes the brake light. I researched the product, and found that the system consists of a $15 switch available on Amazon. I declined PULSE. Gresham Subaru failed to respond to this counter offer for well over a day. Either they are so inept as to not have a general manager, acting general manager, or my salesperson contact me the day before a scheduled appointment to sell a car, or they tried to bluff their way through getting me to pay $349 for a $15 switch and failed. Jake Pratt then tried to use my situation (due to COVID-19, there are no sales in WA and the Subaru 0% financing offer ends in 5 days) to justify their offer. I recommend going elsewhere. read more
