One of my most recent purchases was a battery for one of my vehicles, but the battery turned out to be defective and would lose its charge from one day to the next. I went to the store to have the battery replaced under the warranty policy. However, I was asked numerous questions and was not given a replacement until a week after I initially reported the battery as defective. I also discovered that they had apparently placed a "red flag" on my account because of this situation. In my experience, AutoZone did not honor its warranty policy in a timely or satisfactory manner. After being a regular customer and purchasing many products from this company, I found the way this situation was handled very disappointing and frustrating.

The "know-it-all" lady behind the counter said she didn't need the part # or actual part. I showed he a photo on my phone and she insisted that's all she needed....the shape and plug configuration. She said the part # was not important at all. She also said any 12v relay with that plug configuration will work just fine. I bought the part and when i tried installing it I realized it was a slight fraction of an inch too large and would not fit. I went to return the part and the manager there (the same "know-it-all") said they will not refund money on an electrical part.....even though she remembered selling me the incorrect part. She stated i didn't give her the part #, but never mentioned that she insisted she didn't need it !!! Lol....theres an Oreilly's near by.
