I drove the vehicle around for an hours hoping the alternator would charge the battery. When I turned off the car it wouldn't start again. The young man inside explained they were not allowed to change the battery because of liability issues. The next morning one of the gentlemen came out and assisted me with changing the battery when I got stuck a few times. If you have any simple vehicle issues I would strongly recommend them as your first stop.

Another well-known place that I used to go generally seems too slow or busy to be helpful to customers, but that's not the case here. The service is such that you can engage with employees and know right away that they care about solving your problem or satisfying the need for your visit. If you're in a rush, there's a good chance that you can get in and out fairly quickly. This is something so basic, but seemingly rare. Keep up the good work!

My neighbor's cables, more heavy duty, work immediately! Fair enough! (Admittedly, months later, as weather was bad, and receipt was long gone) I went back, intending to get credit on a more expensive set of cables, but the store would do nothing! I said "So you don't stand behind what you sell, at all?" And the manager just shrugged! Other than that, store is ok, nothing to write home about. They stock a bunch of car stuff - probably will have what you need. They did come out to parking lot and install a battery. (I just hope it makes it through the winter!)

The third man only had a face shield on, which may protect him, but is not equivalent to a mask. He also keep the shield up for much of the time I was there not putting it between him and the room.. No one acknowledged us when I walked in- and stood at some distance, but pointedly looking at them for help. I did not feel safe and due to the actual service treatment (none) as well, I left (see below). Review: I stood waiting to be acknowledged for a few minutes and it never happened. I left without service.

Both experiences the same employee by the name of Robert helped. 1st time he went way of of his way to help me troubleshoot a main battery and fuse issue I was having on my van, the next time about six months later he help me deduce an aux battery issue I was having an on my 2018 Chrysler Pacifica van and helped me find the closest one since he did not have it in stock. In both instances Robert got my battery issue solved and me back in the road fast, saving me time and over 600$ compared to the Chrysler dealer! I would also like to mention that Robert is a shining example of customer service and professionalism! While waiting for my repair I could see and hear the top of line respect they had for each customer. How the whole shop worked in unison, provide customer rides while repairing their cars, had a sign on the wall that spoke of honesty and they have it her. The engine was smoking as I drove off. I took it back and they said they now steamed washed it and all was well. The car had a very small leak about once every week or two for the next couple of months. I decided to take my car to Pro Auto care. I asked for an oil change and to check out the leak. It turns out the oil filter was so tight the seal or cd something was no longer flush on the engine and allowed a lead (very small) of oil. Pro auto not only changed my oil but cleaned up the leaked oil and all seems well a couple of weeks later. Price is reasonable, people are professional and friendly. They tell you the truth and are quick, efficient and professional. Great service.

Scenario: We purchased a vehicle from CarMax and it was in Columbus, OH. We paid the transfer fee to have it brought to Louisville. It took 2+ weeks, multiple phone calls and follow-ups, and several false starts to actually get it transferred. The local team reimbursed the transfer fee and did what they could to make it right. Corporate CarMax, help these guys out and fix how your departments work together to support your local teams who are in front of customers.

He didn't tell me he had to jump start it........ I test drove the vehicle and they evaluated my trade in. During the test drive I asked the salesperson what route people usually take. He told me he was new to the area and didn't know the streets. (You would have thought that was part of the training!) After the test drive I was told how much my trade was valued so I agreed and completed the paperwork for the purchase. After completing the paperwork I was waiting for the car to be brought up to the area where I could drive off. However........the car wouldn't start. The battery was dead. So the salesperson told me I could pick up the car the following day - they would replace the battery. He explained that service would have it ready when they opened at 10:00am. I arrive at 10:00 to complete the sale and pick up the car............I have my vehicles titled in my revocable trust. So the person in the business office asked me if my Wife was with me? I told her No it wasn't necessary. She then told me it was necessary. Another person in the office actually looked at my "Certificate of trust" to see that I am a Trustee and either Trustee can sign! (Again, you would think people in the business office would be trained!) Then I was told the car wasn't ready............they requested I go get a late breakfast! They admitted to not knowing the car needed service. Needless to say I could not understand how a Customer buying a Major Asset would be treated this way! I left before I said something unpleasant. While having my "late breakfast" I received a text telling me they ordered a battery and were waiting on it to be delivered! They would contact me after the Service Dept installed the battery. Needless to say I did not buy the car. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER ! I left and went to Bachman Hyundai in Jeffersonville and purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe.

This is no baby sitting place, it's a business; but they get to the point and you can check a car inside, outside or take it for a test drive. They make sure the car is in working condition, as you can see they have from from any brand regular to more premium and luxury tier cars and they will have good prices on them. So keep an eye on inventory as it moves fast. You can also check inventory and pricing on their website. I just purchased a car from G and L and even though there were no warning lights, the inspection place told me the car is in good shape, then a light came on within 48 hours of the purchase. I went back and Adam responded and resolved it on the same day. That is how a business gains loyalty in my book. I plan to buy another one in 2 years or so and G and L will be my first place to visit.

Then went on a ran that he gave me a very good deal on the car and took a loss on it. But would be willing give me a "good deal" on new tires. Very arrogant sales manager. Taking issue to BBB. BUYER BEWARE.
