Bought a 2026 Mazda CX-5 here and the sales side was pretty good Bryson was low pressure and very nice. Price was very competitive. After the purchase things changed. Heated steering wheel did not work service told us to take it to Oxmoor Mazda to get it fixed. Now while driving the entire dash and monitor went dark. We are currently trying to get Oxmoor Mazda to do the service warranty work since Huffman doesn't seem interested in any after purchase service. read more

I had a coolant system flush and oil change performed on my 2016 Mazda 6, the technician overfilled my oil by 1 quart, did not put in enough coolant back into system and failed to top off fluids. I ended up fixing this problem myself as I was already home before I discovered the problem. I let 1/2 quart of oil out from oil pan in 35 degree temperature and had to dispose of messy oil. Added one cup of distilled water into radiator because I didn't have the manufacturer specified coolant on hand. Anyone who knows anything about cars should know that any oil overfilled more than 1/2 quart can cause engine damage. I tried to get a partial refund for the cost of extra quart of oil charged to me and the labor I had to perform myself to fix problem but was denied. They are called stealerships for a reason. read more

I found the car online, 2016 Chevy Cruze with about 65000 miles on it and with such low miles for its age, it seemed like a great deal. The photos showed the exterior in good condition, and after requesting images of the engine, where problems are common, everything looked good. Then I received a video of the car, and I immediately noticed a large, deep scratch on the right rear fender that went down to the metal. I requested a close-up of the damage. Given the price being asked, the vehicle should have been in near-mint condition, so this felt deceptive--it should have been disclosed upfront. This should have been my first warning that more might be hidden. I asked the salesperson if there were any issues with the car, emphasizing that as a mechanic, I would be able to identify problems. I didn't receive a clear response to that, which raised concerns. Despite this, I was reassured that the car had been thoroughly inspected and was in good condition. I drove two hours to see the car in person. The first thing I did was inspect it with a flashlight and found oil covering the oil pan. When the salesman came out, we opened the hood, and I noticed the engine was warm. I also spotted fresh amber colored oil on the motor mount. At that point, I should have walked away, but I decided to look further. When the car started, it was clear the battery had been disconnected recently, which made me wonder what else is being covered up. I brought my GM code reader with me, but by then I had seen enough to know this car was nowhere near the condition it was being advertised or priced for. I was very disappointed that a vehicle in this state was being sold at all by a dealership that was justifying the price because any issues were taken care of. The fact that the salesperson said they'd spend up to $4,000 to fix any problems after purchase is baffling. The oil leak should have been investigated and repaired before even listing the car as being in great condition. I was repeatedly told the car was inspected by there team on a lift. To top it off, after pointing out the undisclosed oil leak and test driving the car, The salesman said the manager was ready to make me an offer. I'm sure he was. I calmly stated the issues with the car and that for it to have been on a lift the oil leak should have been addressed and that removed any confidence I had in their claims about the car. The salesman stated that he understood and asked if I would like to see other cars he had on the lot. I strongly urge others to avoid your dealership, as this level of deception is unacceptable. read more

The overall service experience was very poor and I was misinformed multiple times (all documented). I had a very inexperienced Salesperson, Adrian, who was just trying to close a deal and would give answers/guidance that was consistently not true. I won't go into deep details, but here are a few items: - Despite speaking the entire time that I wanted to finance through my bank, they ended up financing me with their bank, Huntington (nearly double the interest rate with fees in the hundreds to originate the loan, but also to refinance will cost me hundreds more). It created multiple other issues re: payments, checks clearing, etc. that were a pain to deal with and took a lot of my time. I will take partial responsibility here, as I should have asked more questions before signing documents on their iPad vs. trusting that they were doing the right thing (they rushed this through as the entire dealership was closing. - I just received a new vehicle license plate, months after purchasing the vehicle. Not sure why, nor the implications to registration, etc. - just another example of them looking to close a deal vs. being service oriented or even informing me of this and what to do next. - The trailer hitch advertised in all pictures and on the website was not provided with the vehicle. - The vehicle was up for maintenance and should have been serviced prior. I was told the gas tank would be filled up prior to giving me the keys, but it was nearly empty (another $50+). - The 2nd set of keys I was told was at another dealership, and they confirmed as much. After many follow-ups, they noted there never was a 2nd set. Then later, magically, the keys appeared. Same with the manual & vehicle documentation - it never existed, then suddenly it appeared. - What's most troubling is that despite having emailed David, General Manager, and William, the Sales Manager, on multiple occasions - they did not respond to a single communication, nor did I receive any apologies or an offer to help make it right. The only helpful person was Shawn, the Business Manager. When I brought my vehicle in for servicing, that experience was great - Kris was helpful, informative, and followed up even after the appointment. I wouldn't do business with this dealership in the future and would advise others the same. Have your vehicle sent to a different dealership and close your deal there. Advice for the dealership - take the time to help resolve issues and take accountability vs. ghosting a paying customer who was trying to be reasonable and working through options on how to resolve the situation. Coach your Sales associates, so they prioritize service excellence over filling their pockets. read more

I am a bit delayed on this review, but having the need to service my wife's car again, the frustration kicked back in, I cannot let my experience go untold. Mind you, I asked for the manager of the dealer to call me to inform of my experience so this review would not be a surprise when read, if they read it and if they care at all, I never got a call back. I took my wife's Mazda for a recall, was informed to bring the car in, with an appointment done with Mazda and not the dealer, so this part was not their fault, arrived on the weekend and was informed they do not have the technician for recalls on weekend's, this is on Mazda, agreed to leave the car there, MISTAKE number 1, they will leave your car outside under the trees and it will get bird poop on it and tree zap all over it, for anyone that knows, this damages the paint on a car, hence the reason my cars get waxed twice a year, it was spotless when I dropped it off and their answer, nothing we can do about it, we don't have covered parking and we don't wash cars, what dealer does not even try to wash the vehicle after it's serviced?!! Wow! So then tell me and I will bring it back on Tuesday since Monday you called me to tell me you did not have the recall part in inventory! Why not tell me on Saturday and leave me without a vehicle. Totally unimpressed. MISTAKE number 2- the recall was for a fuel pump, I figured, we'll it smells like gas since they just swapped it out, it should go away, drove home and guess what? my drive way in the morning smelled worse than a gas station, looked under it and there a huge puddle of gasoline under the car, it was dripping gas and now I am worried for my safety, they let me drive the car home and it could have caught fire!! Call the dealer and had the car towed back to them to fix it, another day without a vehicle, mind you, at no time they offered a loaner, and now I can't go to work, now it's been 6 days without a car. Mistake number 3- when we pick up the car right after the original fix to the fuel pump, my wife notices the check engine light on, she mentions it when we drive away about a block from the dealer, so back we go. We had NO check engine we we originally dropped it off, how do you let a customer drive off with a check engine light and say nothing!! Omg, at least say something!! So they bring out the tech with the computer and he runs a diagnostic and tells me we need a new battery. Ok Mistake number 4- we asked, this is the original Mazda battery and it's should have some prorated life left to buy a new one, service agent tells me, he does not know how to tell that. Go to the parts department they might know, here it gets even more interesting, I asked for a Mazda battery for my car and once it comes out, I asked about the new batteries warranty, their answer, we don't know, we'll it's says 36/60 months warranty on the sticker on the actual battery, so I asked what about mine, since the car is only 3 years old. He states, really I don't know what that means, and I only work at the Subaru dealer and I am here to help to cover the sales desk, ok, so I ask, at the Subaru dealer, if their battery says 60 months, what does that mean, he then admits, I really don't know. Ok, at this point I ask, where is the manager, and of course he is gone for the day and we can have him call you. Went to Sam's, tested the battery and it was good, lost charge for sitting at the dealer for a almost a week, either way, decided to purchase a new one, it's the wife's car and I don't want risk it. Now off to find a new dealer for the wife's vehicle. I'll try Oxmoor Mazda, hopefully it will be better. Maybe I am the only one with this type of experience at this dealer and I am a one off, but it was a series of bam bam bam bam all mistakes. Sorry, I won't be back. Everyone was nice a polite, but when it came to service and knowledge, they get zero stars. I love my Mazda and the fix was finally done correct, and not other issues from the fuel pump. read more

If I could give them a 0 I would. I have used Neil Huffman Mazda service for years now. When Gene was there in service I was treated great and never had a concern when I left. I started working from home so maintenance is not needed as often but over the course of the last 18 months 5000K of my two service trips everything has been marked in the green with no issues. I drive almost an hour each way to go to this garage specifically. I took my car in on Feb 18th mentioned I felt a wobble to the tires and asked for at least a balance and rotate with my oil change, got the call its good to go come get it the tech was Ben Enzenwa. Between leaving there and my 50 min drive home I thought it seems off but it was Sat so short hours. About 5 miles from home I knew it wasn't right so I stopped and asked my brother to take a look, caliper was locked up. Replacing brakes, rotors, calipers with Mazda $2K. Completed the work and parts from $800 at home. While under the car we noticed - Shock on rear passenger was bad, rear differential bushings shot, side mount bushings shot, muffle rings falling down, looks like a hole is starting in the muffler. Again all the maintenance marks are GREEN, no indication of issues. Called Kelly and set up a drop off time because I didn't drive it for weeks before changing out the brakes. Went on vacation for a week, Mazda had my vehicle. No update for the week which I guess was nice because they ruined my day after I came home. I had to call the following Monday and request an update. Waited two hours before emailing Mon, Apr 10 at 1.53 PM Kelly, Since communication has been less than desired in this instance I would like to pick up my vehicle by 5 today. Kelly called me back and proceeded to tell me Rear diff bushing would need replaced/they don't push them in, they'd need to replace cross member $3800.00 New drive shaft $1560.00 Shocks (only 1) $691.00 - umm I'll input here, if you replace one, you replace a set or all. Trans pan $500.00 because now all of a sudden I have a leak. $6551.00 to fix all these items that weren't an issue a month before/less than 200 miles since picked up the car from service. I take really good care of my car/and complete my maintenance regularly. Kelly and I exchanged plenty of words here. I would be charged for all parts and service hours. They are considering firing the tech and know that he has been an issue with his not giving a ****. And when I asked if they do audits, they are looking into it because for some reason its not getting done. Told him I was on my way to get the car- Kelly and the other floor sup/manager (Chris may not even be aware that I was coming for the car) were gone 4 mins after 4:00. I took my car to another garage. Replaced the bushings sides and back (4 altogether) and the drive shaft for $1565.00, a $3795.00 difference from what Mazda wanted just for the drive shaft and cross member. The trans pan has a old leak, not active saved $500.00 The shock can wait at the time but was mainly to call out that we noticed it they didn't. The muffler will be another time but the garage fixed the clamps hanging. Mazda $6551.00 - no video like told I would get. Local garage $1565.00 -took me under my car showed me everything they were looking at and gave me options. - And pointed out that the drive shaft was the biggest concern because the carrier bushing where shot, and I mean it was bad. Since Eugene retired its gone way down and I won't be returning. I will discourage giving your trust to service here. Do you think they called anyone else who has Ben as an inspector. I bought my car here in Jan of 2017 and I've never had any issues with it. Granted my car was just about brand new and I reviewed the carfax they provided in detail and all the maintenance and service records looked great. The financing portion was a breeze, I had a used car with positive equity on it so I was able to get financing info rather quick. I even nagged the salesman over the original proposal. With my car I also received 8 free oil changes. That's the one part I will say is lagging in service. With my free oil change I don't have to schedule an appointment, but my first time it took 2-3 hours! I rather schedule an appointment and get out of there! Bought a brand new car, and was told that their auto detailer left early so the car would stay over night and we could pick it up the next day after it was detailed. Fair enough, it was late as the only time we could go was after work. The next day we arrived around 6:30, and the car was parked outside. We went in, got the keys and the happy "Thanks for shopping with us" and drove home. Only when i went into the garage under decent lighting we saw that the "detailing" that was provided was tirewet on the tires. I can still see the tape marks from the protective shipping covers all over the car (looked like scratches at first). What sort of place "details" a car, but doesn't even wash it? I had great things to say about Huffman Mazda when my fiance purchased from them last August and I'm continuing the trend today. One of their sales reps, Chris S, approached me through a mutual friend when I had questions about the buying process. He was friendly and helpful with no intention of selling; ironically that conversation led to the best car-buying experience I've ever had. Within an hour, we came to an agreed price and within two hours I was test-driving the car. They also provided me with a fair price on my trade-in, which I greatly appreciated. Chris was friendly and fun and I never felt pressured or deceived. All of the paperwork clearly reflected the numbers I discussed with the manager, Avery, before I'd arrived. It took awhile to meet with the finance manager, but that's to be expected on the last day of the month. Chris kept me company through my whole wait. As you sometimes do, I noticed a little issue once I had the car in the bright lights of my garage; they got me into the detailer with no notice the next day and took care of it. They did it all with a smile, even though they already have my money and could have told me I'd looked the car over the night before and approved it. Between the service and the 2 years of maintenance included with new cars, I regret that I didn't talk to Huffman earlier in my search. They obviously want you to be happy in your car and I don't mind giving them my money. Do not go here to purchase a vehicle! I found a passat online, 2013 with a little over 7000 miles on it, sel trim. They wanted 23,457. I get there and first thing I wanted was the name and number of the pervious owner, by ky state law they are required to provide it if asked. The salesperson I'm dealing with is acting like she never heard of it before and has to go in and ask about it. She gives me the story that the guy that purchased the car had cancer and they bought it back from them and he does not want info released. Whatever. The car was in his possession less than two months. I get in to test drive and I see they lied about mileage. It is at 9,700. Huh? Again this salesperson doesn't seem to know much and says maybe sales managers drive it. Are you kidding me? Another dude comes out acting like mr knowitall and suggests she show me new passats, they are only $6000 more. If I wanted a new car, I'd purchase a new car. So after a few I go inside and make the cash offer of $19000 and get up to leave. I expect to negotiate a bit on price. She comes out and says no we'd take to much of a loss. I say ok and leave... Didn't even come back with a counter. I made the mistake of going to Dixie Highway. I've already found another passat with lower miles and same trim, for less at another dealership. Bought a car, the next day started having issues was told to bring it in so I did, was called a few hours later letting me know that it had been fixed and was ready for pickup, was told if I had any more problems to let them know, called back let them know the issue wasn't fixed, took the car back up there it sat for 4 days, no communication about what was going on with it, if it had been looked at or not, needless to say it hadn't.. went and picked it up.. Now can't get ANYONE at the dealership to return a call. Both times I've been to this service location in the past year have far exceeded my expectations. They do it right, and I appreciate that. Their service staff is professional and attentive, they do the services properly, and they don't try to take you to the cleaners on price. It's been my experience in the past, that you may get one of these things from a service center, but this is the first time I've experienced all three. Look, I've said it once and I'll say it again... the people here are great. When we bought our Mazda last year Chris took great care of us and the rest of the team was JUST as kind and courteous. I never once felt pressured or uncomfortable and I always felt welcome to just make myself at home. In the last year when I've taken my fiance's car in for servicing the service has been equally as impressive. So, naturally, when it came time to replace my yellow death trap this was the first place that came to mind. I initially wasn't going to buy a car... probably not for another 6 months or so, but when you're rolling around in the winter without heat it's kind of a motivator to maybe start looking at a new car. I went in after work to visit Chris and the team with a couple of cars in mind. I had a pre-owned Subaru on my radar but a deal was being made on in literally as I walked in the door. So I went with my next choice - a Mazda 3 hatchback. Chris didn't try to push me one way or the other and gladly took the key out for the Mazda and off we went. The test drive was complemented by some good conversation and upon our arrival back to the dealership we jumped right into numbers. We worked our way through the packages, came up with one I liked, got all the paperwork together, and then went over to visit "Big Mertz". He took care of our financing needs on the previous purchase and he did not disappoint this time around either. He didn't try to push me into a bunch of junk I didn't want and we went straight to work on signing my life and money away! They even worked the car in for some extra treatment I purchased before I took it off the lot. How about that! I have always joked that I hate people who sell cars and people who sell houses; however, here in the last year or so we've gotten really lucky with those that sell houses and especially lucky with those that sell cars. Chris is a gem and a wonderful person inside and out. Although I am saddened by my Subaru dreams being crushed, I am even more elated to have gotten such a nice ride for such a great price! I bought my second car from Neil Huffman Mazda/Volkswagen today with my fiancee, and I can honestly say my entire experience has been thoroughly pleasant. I found a car I was interested in online and, within minutes, had a comprehensive response from a friendly team member with not only information on the vehicle, but also help working with my rigorous schedule in order to come in for a test drive. Burt, my sales rep at the dealership, kept my test drive and vehicle inspection light-hearted, fun (complete with jokes and witty banter), and just overall a no-pressure experience that was just as enjoyable as I remember my Volkswagen purchase being back in late 2008, when I learned just how friendly and fun buying from Neil Huffman can be. The deal we ended up making was very fair, and I once again find myself eagerly anticipating seeing the smiling, friendly faces I've come to know and love when I bring my new car in for service. I was received by your staff with prompt courteous service. Oil change along with tires balanced and rotated completed in a timely manner. Only complaint is when leaving my emergency brake was pulled up tighter than it has ever been since buying the car new there. I couldn't get  it to release! Went back in and my service advisor got the tech who did it to come out to try. He had trouble with it as well but got it released with some effort. This unnecessary roughness on the parking brake could have caused the cable to break or the brakes not to release. Also after I returned home had to clean up oil splater on top of the plastic cover over the engine and the plastic cover under by the oil filter. Hopfully next time my car will be treated with more respect. I paid a lot of money for my Mazda 3 and keep it in good condition inside and out. Don't need folks trying to break things on it or creating messes  while having maintenance service work done. Guess I can go back to servicing my own vehicles again to make it's done properly! read more

Perhaps the general manger, Kent Foushee is too busy to conduct proper business, along with Shane, Shannon and Dow Huffman. None of these individuals have returned my call, despite what their response indicates. read more

Neil Huffman Mazda is wonderful. Shane took great care of my car and even had the technicians fix something that Oxmoor Mazda had said they had "fixed". These people are awesome! They help with what ever you need and have a friendly attitude too. The establishment is very well cleaned and they have a super large selection of vehicles. I personally don't like Mazda but the people really convinced me otherwise. They work to get you paying the best for your car no matter your circumstances. One of the best new car purchases I've ever done. Couldn't get the deal I wanted at another local VW dealership, so I called Neil Huffman. They didn't have what I wanted on the lot but they said they could find it. I told them what I wanted (Passat TDI, SE) and they found 2 choices for me in the colors I liked and at the price I wanted to pay. They also gave me what I wanted for my trade in, sight unseen. After they had the vehicle trucked in (at no cost to me), I went in and closed the deal a couple of days later. Very painless and good, honest people all around. read more

volkswagen repair service: had to take a half day off work and spend $110 to replace two $5 headlight connectors. upon "completion" absolutely nothing was fixed. customer service was completely unhelpful, told me to take another day off of work to come in and see their service manager (as this person evidently never works past noon?) to even discuss a refund or setting up another day to fix it--for which i will naturally have to take off work again. unprofessional service, incompetent workers. go anywhere else. it'll be cheaper and may stand a chance of actually getting repaired. read more

beware!!! Salesman Will Taylor said he would run a soft hit on my credit and I asked him not to run it through any banks until I saw my score. I saw my score and decided I wouldn't get the best rate with the score I had so I tried to leave when I was stopped rudely by another sales manager asking me why I was leaving when they got me approved. I asked how when I didn't want it ran through banks? apparently the salesman left that part out. after complaining to upper management Sharon Huffman and being promised something would be done, I was ignored and never was helped.!!! read more
