So. 31 degrees out, snowstorm yesterday & autozone will only install their most expensive batteries on site. Can they have bigger balls? The audacity that any Autozone can pick & choose such a service is incredibly wrong & easily the most UN-CUSTOMER SVC idea I have ever heard of. So folks needing a car battery are at their mercy. Horrible customer service! I was left waiting on phone for 20 minutes the first time and then I called back and was on hold for 15 minutes, I hung up in frustration. When I attempted to call again the girl who answered was rude. I get that they were busy, but to leave a customer waiting that long is ridiculous. If they are short staffed HIRE PEOPLE! This place blows. Every single time I come here there is either nobody here or 1-2 customers in the store, yet the service is non-existent. They still fail to acknowledge when I need help and they are extremely lazy whenever you actually ask for something, and lack knowledge. The workers would rather talk and slack off than help you. I wanted a code read, I was the only one there yet it still took the guy 10 minutes to grab a scanner and come outside, as well as complain that it's cold outside! As a customer walked in, he helped him first even though I was waiting... of course the other workers there didn't care so. Another time I came in for a battery replacement to be told he couldn't do it cause he didn't know how to unplug a module sitting on top of the battery (what?). I ended up doing it myself later, but I waited around 20 minutes for him to come back out and give me a jump. The other guys, once again slacking and not caring, talking to customers about personal bs. A guy leaving his shift actually came to help me since the others didn't care. The manager also has some kind of personal prejudice against me and refuses to look at me let alone service me every time I'm there. Crap service, inflated prices... Go to NAPA down the road I've had better luck with them. read more

It's a long wait if there's a long line of people who are too lazy to use google in 30 seconds to find out simple answers to trivial questions. It's not like they're hiring actual mechanics, they're using a computer to tell them what to tell the customer. This is the only auto parts store around where you can get your car checked out and work done FOR FREE. I have never seen any other place change batteries, wipers, etc. for free and yet people seem to feel so entitled to it, at least give the dude a dollar or something. A lot more people should understand that if it's busy and there's only 2 people you can't get your battery changed. It's not them being rude or people ignoring you. There are always a lot of workers there but 90% of them aren't working the registers. It doesn't mean that they're avoiding their job, this is a big company that has a lot of commercial customers that they deliver parts to. They need to have drivers bring their parts on time, to satisfy all those car shops and mechanics. They can't have those drivers take 20-45 minutes changing a battery when they have to be running in and out of the store. Every time I go there I see some entitled customer being rude or sexist to the employees. Horrible area but decent auto shop. I'm sick and tired of reading such negative reviews from people who are just blatantly ignorant. If you really don't have the patience to wait in line just like you do at a grocery store or literally anywhere else, then kindly leave and buy it online from the comfort of your own home. This isn't a car shop it's a car PARTS shop. There ain't no mechanics working there just people tryna make a living. Rude customers are a big reason as to why people are quitting so much and then there's not enough workers and your wait is even longer! this store Auto zone in Mt. Pocono is horrible. I never encountered such rude workers anywhere. When Auto Zone says they are there to help never believe that. I am a senior who went into the Mount Pocono Auto Zone and asked the young guy at the counter for wipers for my car. he told me isle 3 #16 & 22 so I proceeded to the isle and picked a 16 & a 22. I went up to the counter to pay and he looked at me and said are you kidding I said to him what is wrong you told me #16 & #22 so I picked one of each # he asked me if I know how to read because one said rear window well I did not read it because you told me 16 & 22 you did not say anything other then that, he stood there shaking his head I was never so embarrassed so I said never mind I will go somewhere else. I wanted to smack him in his face for talking to me this way in front of people and making me feel like I was a stupid old lady. He should be ashamed of himself as should the company Auto Zone for hiring such disrespectful people. I left the store and drove to another Auto store up in Blakeslee and they were so friendly, helpful, and even came out to my car and put them on for me. I will never use or recommend Auto Zone to anyone and for sure I will never go back to one again. read more
