After diagnosing my issues, it was advised that I needed to get new rotors, brakes and suspension work. Long story short, I had to return three times within a couple of months because a grinding sound would return. First it was that they weren't properly tightened and had to leave it overnight. The 2nd time the car sat there for a couple of days before I called to see if there was any progress. They told me it was resolved. When I went to pick it up, it was as if it was never touched. The sound was still there. I had a supervisor take a spin in the car with me and he immediately heard it too, He didn't understand why it wasn't resolved. Each time I had to rent cars so that I wouldn't be on foot and had to go to work. With the third and "final" fix, they told me that I had to get Volvo OEM parts because the aftermarket parts didn't fit well and caused the noise issues. Again, more car rentals more days without my car, but they assured me I didn't have to pay extra even though the parts were better. Within a month the sound returned. I finally took it to a family Mechanic that was about 20 miles away and he discovered that they were bad parts. With barely a couple of thousand miles on these parts I had him put all the pieces every part in my trunk. The parts were still brand new, but it was clear even to the new manager at Pep Boys when I showed it to him. He said that he would check with his company to see what they can do about reimbursing me for these parts that were barely used, but bad. He asked me to wait until after the new year because of the holidays. Took my phone number, but I never heard from him again. The Pep Boys total job cost which I even took out their credit card for was over $2000. My mechanic dated for $700 and five months on the road and I have had no issues whatsoever with my suspension brakes or rotors. I don't know what they're doing there at that store or who the technician was that worked on my car, but it was the same one all three times as they stated it needed to be the same technician every time I took it back. He shouldn't be working there. I've officially moved on from ever using Pep Boys again and I still have these parts sitting in my garage as a reminder to not even consider them to put air in my tires. Avoid at all costs.

Dude actually had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to buy the part and TRY it to see if it still works. Place is a complete joke with 1 lone employee answering the phones, bunch stand around do nothings and incompetent folks pulling parts. The Jacksonville Sears Auto Center did not have one for my vehicle and recommended that I reach out to the Oviedo location. Eric said that despite the fact that I could not get there until "after" the warranty was up for the Diehard battery, they would still accommodate me with a new one. On Saturday, Feb. 2nd, we went to this location and the employee was very helpful. We went into the mall and were called a short while later that we were good to go. Once we received our paperwork and got into our car, we could not get the radio to work and the Sears employee came out and assisted, noting we needed to find a card with a code on it. We did and were grateful for his assistance. I cannot recall the employee's name, but think it might have been "Louis?" Anyway, he was extremely courteous and professional. Despite the drive for us, I would recommend this Sears Auto Center as they are professional and customer-oriented.

Had my Baja towed to Sears because they are open on Sundays. My dog was with me and both of us were pretty shaken up. I think I was still in shock even though it was hours after the crash. As soon as we got out of the tow truck one of the mechanics brought water for my dog. it melted my heart! The gentleman who inspected the Baja and very patiently explained to me what he could see as obvious needs and explained that they wouldn't know the extent of the damage until the wheels came in so that they could see under the truck to check the axles, frame, etc. He also pointed out the convenient (an obvious) rental car kiosk in their shop that I had overlooked. Thankfully, they, too, were open so that I was able to secure a rental car while my truck was being repaired. Jose was my contact keeping me in constant update on the estimates and times for the repairs. He was extremely compassionate, professional and helpful with my stupid questions. He worked with the insurance adjuster who also came out to inspect the Baja. Prices are fair and the quality of workmanship stellar. The repairs were completed faster than I expected. I can't speak highly enough about the excellent customer service from everyone I encountered at this location. I highly recommend them.

Though I said they could have the day they attended to my vehicle right away and finished in a shorter time frame than other locations I've been to. Also the manager took time to come out and say hello when I was checking out which is always appreciated and adds a personal touch and confidence boost that this is indeed a location that will do what needs to be done and fairly. Pricing was fair and in line with industry, Unfortunately my issue was not able to be corrected at the location due to it being more electrical in nature (they actually waived the diagnostic for me since unable to assist) but they did provide me recommendations on where to go for next steps. This is how I'd prefer it- instead of a branch simply tackling the project on their own and charging for things that would not actually help to get money and just to patch up to move the customer on the way to find more trouble down the road (literally). However this recent job was bigger than what I had the time or tools for and I couldn't be happier with the service I received here. I brought in my Silverado to have the hydraulic lifters deleted due to a failed lifter. I had suspicions of other issues but were assured by other mechanics that they didn't exist. I only spoke Leon personally who has impeccable customer service and knowledge. He was able to give me the best price around and clearly had the knowledge necessary for the job. It took a little longer to get the vehicle into a bay than expected and while most shops wouldn't bother Leon called and maintained communication throughout the entire job which is such a small thing that goes such a long way. The delay was perfectly understandable, I know personally no job ever goes as smooth as you expect. After the initial tear down Leon reached out again to let me know that my suspicions were correct and a few other things needed to be replaced or at the very least were worth doing while it was tore down and about at that time anyway. Leon was able to get me a fair price on parts and replace everything I was looking at getting done anyway. Leon was even honest enough to talk me out of a more expensive replacement other shops had told me was necessary and provide me the education why it wouldn't be worth it. Trucks been running great for about a month now. Absolutely no complaints. Can't thank these guys enough for all the work and actually being good to the customer.
