I came here to get some batteries. I walked in and I asked an employee if they had V6 batteries. She pointed it out to me and I grabbed it and I was ready to go. So I lined up in the line where there was no one else... I then waited to be called to a register.. and waited... And waited.. there were about 3 employees at the front just talking, walking around and even picking up the phone while I waited.. I was with my buddy and we looked at each other like... Wow.. no one huh? Then the same lady that pointed out the batteries got to the front and was like "have you been helped yet?" I was like nope.. she then helped us and she seemed rather frustrated that no one else wanted to help us out.. what should have been a quick trip turned into a 15min waiting period.. i came here to get a battery for my vehicle. Lamont helped me, he was Great!, helpful, informative. He also seemed understaffed, and handled it very well. There was another guy there, different shirt, seemed like a manager. He didn't help Lamont much, he came out once in 30 minutes, after Lamont had to call him to come out and help him. Lamont was pretty much all alone, and handled the multiple customers great! read more

Daniel was so incredibly nice and helpful! My battery died during an oil change and they referred me to autozone. They run diagnostics for free, helped me pick a good battery, installed it for free, then ran another round of diagnostics to make sure. My visit here was extremely pleasant. My battery had died and one of the workers tested it to make sure it was the battery rather than the alternator. He provided me with at least six or seven different choices for the battery then replaced it. They were rather busy, but I was still in and out in 30 minutes. read more

Osvaldo & Tyler we're both tremendous help when I stopped by the store to get my Toyota Matrix 2005 battery replaced as well as get parts for a hitch to tow a trailer. I needed a new battery so I went to Autozone. I was quickly given the warranty breakdown for the various options available for my car, then told it should be an easy process to install it. Unfortunately, replacing the battery in my Mazda was not as easy as expected, so I went back to Autozone and Tyler installed it for me. My battery was on its last leg, I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to make it down to autozone. I walked in and was helped right away by Daniel, the manager. He told me to bring my car to the front and they would run a test on my battery. The other Daniel was the one to do it. He was so patient and helpful. For a women who knows zero about cars, he taught me things and removed my old battery, put in my new battery and even helped me replace my key fob battery I realized was dying. When you say above and beyond, that is Daniel, and the other Daniel. I call them Daniel Squared! Super sweet, patient and willing to help me through every step I needed. The worst customer service I have ever had. My vehicle would not start this morning. I took my vehicle to the mechanic after jump start where it was told my battery was ok but faulty. When I called this location about replacing my battery. I was told that the battery could be swapped out no issue under warranty. When we arrived at this location. we took time to remove the battery and took it in the store. The person in the store tested the battery even though we informed them it was faulty, and it we just came from our mechanic. The battery tested at 77% and they asked us to let it run in the parking lot so that they could diagnosis it as the mechanic already did. Instead of replacing the battery as we had been told they would. We decided to bring the vehicle home. I then called this location back to speak to the manager. I was on hold for over 45minutes. Where only one person, not the manager, apologized for the long hold. Marina, the manager, when I finally spoke to her advised they can only replace the battery if their 'machine' shows it is 'bad'. So I have to let the car sit unused for two days to let it die again. She refused replace the battery even though our mechanic recommended it all because their machine shows as 'good'. She never apologized for the service in store or the long hold time. I wish I could leave no stars but Yelp makes me leave at least one. read more

THEY DO NOT NEED BUSINESS ! Employee and manager refused to open the spray paint cage for me to find an exact color to match with my sample. No customer were in the store. Employees had nothing to do. I nicely offered them to open the cage and stay next to me the time I look. They refused ! I went to Home Depot , great customer service and the paint is cheaper. This is by far my favorite Auto Zone location, it's super convenient and they have amazing customer service. I work for a used car dealer and we shop here all the time. It's great because we are able to have a commercial account with them and it's never an issue to get the parts we need quickly. Even before we had an account we would never have any issues ordering specialized and harder to find parts. The sales team is awesome and they treat everyone with respect. I recommend going to O'Reilly's on Midway. AutoZone corporate recommended I report this store for noncompliance. I had ordered brake parts via AutoZone online which included a complete brake replacement discount. After receiving an email telling me the last part of my order was in, I called to this store to confirm. An employee answered and said yes, my part was in. I made it to the store 2 hours later, waited in line for 10 minutes, and then after a several minues of system failures (one of which claimed falsely claimed my part was purchased in Mexico), Noah and his staff argued and berated for 15 minutes claiming the part was not in and that no one could have possibly told me so on the phone, because Noah was the only one who answered the phone that day and he never told me it was in. The entire time this was going on, I was calmly trying to get them to check the shelf where I could see the part I had ordered sitting there in bright yellow packaging. He would not - he blatantly refused - until 15 minutes in. Sure enough, the part was there with my name on it. When Noah rang it up, however, he claimed the complete brake replacement discount was no longer valid for this part, so I would have to pay $37 instead of $32. I disagreed, but he would not budge, and so I left the store. I called corporate AutoZone customer service after this experience, and they told me the "part purchased in Mexico" was a system error that all franchises were instructed to fix months prior, and that I should report them for not complying. The customer service representative also told me that all AutoZone store managers have a 10% discount code that they can provide their customers, so even if the complete brake discount code did not apply, Noah could have provided me a fair discount at his discretion. In other words, Noah chose not to provide me the fair discount, despite having already paid $120+ in other brake parts in the kit. $5 is not a big deal to me. However, respect is. I have been going to AutoZones since joining my college Formula SAE team in 2009. I have spent thousands of dollars at AutoZone franchises up until this point in my life. Never had I experienced anything even close to this. Lord knows what they do to people who don't know as much about cars as me. I recently noticed that, somehow, my review on Google for this location was shadow banned. You won't see it there. So I figured I would create a Yelp account write a review here for interested consumers. I don't know how the Google review shadow banning process works, but I suppose this franchise must have tried retaliating. I never received any notification from Google about the shadowbanning, or any contact from this franchise's management to understand the situation or rectify the $5 charge. I am writing this review for people who may not know better. I don't know if they shortchange people who don't know much about cars. I do know that if there is ever a conflict - however absurd - that you can probably expect this location to act as poorly as possible. My experience happened 15 months ago. I have spent a lot of money at other vendors since then. Mostly online as return policies are much more generous that what I experienced here. When I go to physical stores, the crowd at O'Reilly's on Midway has treated me very well - very professional and down to brass tacks about everything I needed. My first visit, I needed funnels to finish an ATF change and arrived 6 minutes before closing, and left with the parts I needed 3 minutes before closing. Worst freaking auto zone ever! You would think that if you work at a place like this that you would know your cars but not the case. Simply told the man that my car was having issues with the battery and had to have it jumped 4 times already please don't have me turn off my car unless you know that you can check and this dumb as of course has me turn off my car to look underneath the hood and say oh we can check this type of car I'm sorry or course have to pay more money to get my car jump again just great and he proceeded to go on about his business and just say I'm sorry but pretty much not sorry. Great customer service! I definitely recommend coming here! They saved me from spending money that was not needed. I recently got my oil change done on my KIA Optima at Kearny Mesa Kia and they said I needed a new battery, wipers and breaks. I wanted to look at prices so I came to Autozone, when I asked for a battery for my car they asked if they could check it before I purchased just to make sure I truly needed one. I said why not but I knew I was going to need one since Kia had said it "failed" the battery test. Turns out I was wrong and Kia LIED!!! Autozone tested my battery THREE times and it PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS!!!! I wish I remembered the name of the guy that helped me... but I just want to say thank you again for being a HONEST business! I will be back for any future needs! read more
