In 2017, I'd had my previous Audi repaired at a different Caliber location after I was rear ended on the 405. Ugh! That repair experience was a good one, so when I had a little fender bender on 2/21 with my current Q3, I brought it over to the Caliber location on Hancock Street because it is very close to where I live. Nadia and the rest of the team were very helpful and the repairs were scheduled to take about two weeks. The original estimate went up by about $1,000 once they took the vehicle apart, which if I was paying out of pocket would have given me heart palpitations. Thankfully, insurance is taking care of everything except my $500 deductible. However, I'm sure this incident will come back to haunt me when my insurance comes up for renewal soon, but that is another story. My vehicle was done on time as promised. When I got it back, I noticed that the driver's side door was making a noise, and so I brought it back to Caliber. They noted that the door wasn't aligned correctly and they fixed the issue. My car looks great now, and I'm so glad that it is back to normal. I did have one other issue that I brought to Caliber's attention, and they remedied the situation without an issue. I tried to get my vehicle repaired here after an accident. I do not recommend this place. I think they may be too big for their own good. Certainly too big to provide good service. After weeks of back and forth with them they gave an absurdly high estimate to the Insurance provider without ever talking to me about planned work or options. Was so high insurance wanted to total the vehicle. I manged to get it to another shop who did a fantastic job for thousands under what Calliber wanted to pay. Two months later I get a call saying they want to send me to collections for fees I was never presented from when they did the estimate. When I called to pay I let them know the vehicle wasn't totaled and another shop was able to do the repair for well under what they wanted. I was told "Yes, are rates are very high" Even if your insurance is footing the bill avoid these guys at all costs. read more

I want to acknowledge the positive experience I recently had at Caliber Collision. I took my Volvo xc40 there for an estimate to repair some scratches on the front fender. Paying out of pocket, I was grateful to receive two options for the repair (one was more extensive/expensive, the other more affordable but still an excellent option). Everyone I interacted with (the receptionist, the manager Luis, and the tech who ended up completing the work) was courteous and professional. Initially, I was very impressed by the friendly service and assurance that my car would be repaired quickly. The major issue was that my driver's side mirror was hit, so it was warped and hard to see through. The location manager happened to check me in and I had him sit in the car to see the issue which he agreed he could see, and would not have understood unless he looked at it. Apparently the protocol for repairing a mirror or any part is to keep as many of the old parts as possible and only install new (used in this case) items as required. The message somehow did not reach the technician that my mirror was damaged, so they put the existing damaged mirror into a used casing and sent me home. When I called to tell them it didn't look right, I got the typical "mansplaining" attitude that women often get when dealing with auto repairs. The person I spoke to was in charge of my case but apparently not the technician. He basically gave me the impression that he didn't believe there was a problem with the mirror, and suggested that maybe Hyundai had a recall on their mirrors. I explained that the other one had been fine until it was hit and i questioned whether it had been replaced. I ended up having to call the manager to talk to him about it and he told me to bring it back in. I made an appointment because I don't have much free time during the day, and when I got there he wasn't there. Apparently they had made the appointment without telling him. So I had to reschedule and come back a third time. At that point they were able to put the old mirror into the used casing that is now on my car and it works. I still don't understand why I wasn't provided a new part when it was all covered by insurance, (the insurance of the person who hit my car was already increased by $100 a month). Again, if this had gone right I would've been giving a stellar review because they were very nice. However their lack of communication cost me a lot of extra time, frustration, and a few weeks of driving around with a really dangerous mirror. At this point I probably would not recommend going there, unfortunately. read more

I only went to him because I was referred to him by a friend that said he hooked them up without any paperwork. All he does now is dodge my texts so I have to put it out there like this now. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!! My car was in an accident, insurance had me take it to caliber. I brought it to caliber and they did the body work, I went to pick it up and my AC system was making a loud popping/knocking noise. (My AC system worked completely fine before the accident. No weird sounds, no temperature issues. Never had an issue) So I take it back to caliber and tell the girl in the office. She comes outside and takes a look at it and basically is like "uhh that's weird. Well the technician who fixed your car isn't here. I can have the apprentice look at it!" At this point I'm tell her they need to fix it. She calls me back a few days later and tells me che technicians at caliber couldn't even figure out what the issue was even though they caused it. They said they replaced a part and it still doesn't work. They think it's my condenser/coils now, but they won't touch it because it's not near where my car was hit. Even though it was completely fine before!!! So I call insurance and tell them all this and they say okay let's have the dealership double check this body shops work, let's get a 2nd diagnosis. So I went to pick my car up now suddenly the popping/cracking noises are gone, but now it's just blowing hot air, doesn't get cold. So I ask them what happened because they told me they couldn't fix the issue? The issue was the popping/cracks coming from the AC when I turn it on. There was no air flow at all when it was popping/cracking. So you told me you couldn't fix the problem, and yet now the popping/cracking is gone but there's no cold air. You completely changed what the issue was and lied. You stopped the popping but you clearly did something else in the process because now it's not getting cold! They told me they can't fix it but then make a whole separate issue out of it. I told you the issue was popping/cracking with zero air flow before. You told me you couldn't fix that. So you tampered with it, lied to me about not fixing it, and then created a whole separate issue of now it won't get cold. So I finally take it to a reliable dealership and on the way there, I kid you not...it gets worse.A piece of my car literally came flying off as I'm about to get onto the freeway to go to the dealership. Didn't even make it a mile away from the body shop without something going wrong. The new wheel well cover came loose and came flying under my car, scraping the freshly new painted bumper and breaking some plastic clips that hold it as well. I brought my car back to them, for the 3rd time now, to have them fix their mistakes again. Cannot believe this happened. You can't make this up. So I tell my insurance about this whole situation and they call the shop. The shop tells insurance the part came flying off because I "bottom my car out" what an absolute joke! I've had my car for 9 years, I know how to drive it and I don't drive crazy over bumps/potholes whatever it may be. I'm literally taking my car from the body shop to the dealership to have them fix all your mistakes, and you accuse me of bottoming out my car. The section of road I was on didnt even have any parts where I could've scraped! Just goes to show how unprofessional they are. Instead of taking pride in their work and admitting when they did something wrong, they literally blame me for it. I took my car to the dealership after to have them double check everything, and the dealership found the repair shop drained my AC and didn't recharge it (even though they billed the insurance and said they did!) I would give 0 stars if I could. I was told I would get biweekly updates on Tuesday and Thursday, not only was this not the case but I had to call them multiple times over multiple days after being promised I would be called back in 1) a few minutes, 2) once the supervisor gets off the phone, 3) once the relevant employee drops off a car elsewhere. Never was the case. Originally I was told I can pick up my car on one day, then was told that "most likely" they will try to have me be able to pick it up THIRTEEN DAYS LATER. Unacceptable and huge waste of time. After all of this, I was told my car was ready for pickup and BEFORE dropping off the car I was told I could drop it off with an endorsed check from the Insurance of the individual who hit ME, and the two parties handle the difference in pay from there. When I call to pick up, I am told that in fact, I cannot pick up my READY CAR because I need to wait for the second insurance check which is an ADDITIONAL 10-14 BUSINESS DAYS. Why lie and tell people one thing just to HOLD THE VICTIM's CAR FROM BEING PICKED UP WHEN THEY ARE NOT THE PARTY RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING, THEY ARE JUST THE ONE WHO GOT REAR ENDED! Beyond unprofessional and horrible communication and unorganized office. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!! Pick any other Caliber & if you are told that you can move your car to this location to expedite the process DO NOT ALLOW IT unless you want to be wasting your time trying to track any progress and work on clueing pieces together yourself when you are left in the dark THE ENTIRE PROCESS!!!! And then to be told that you cannot pick up your car once it is ready DESPITE BEING TOLD YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO ORIGINALLY, beyond unprofessional. read more

I will be bringing my brand new truck here for repair. *Repair* Within 6 days of my repair appointment, I had my truck back! That's incredibly quicker than average as parts are extremely hard to find right now. My truck looks brand new! Christian kept me well informed (even though I called/emailed more than a few times ). He was beyond kind and understanding. Christian emailed me pictures of the completed repair prior to pick-up. I was so happy to have my truck back to her original condition I brought breakfast for the whole crew. Thank you guys! You turned a nightmare into a very pleasant experience. Hands down the worst car repair I've ever worked with. My car was returned with my full tank of gas siphoned and a dead battery. They told me they have a lot of issues with crime from surrounding areas so pretty frequently cars get messed with and parts get stolen off cars in the lot. My gas nozzle can only be opened my key so I'm going to assume that it was one of the employees. On top of that my new battery was dead and they wouldn't replace it. If my car insurance recommended this place after an accident why wouldn't you return my car in working condition. Once I reached out to my insurance they immediately handled it. Caliber wanted me to buy a new one from them. Once I looked at the repairs they made, they put a door handle on my car that didn't even match the other 4 so I had to come back to have them replace it with a matching one. Fast forward a year later, the handle breaks. I come in two weeks ago for them to repair it. I haven't heard a thing from them so I reached out today & no one has any record of repair and nothings been ordered or anything. I'd probably have better luck if I tried to work on my car myself with literally no experience. They don't care about customer service at all. read more

My car was dropped off Sept 11, 2023 for repair. When it was dropped off the technician gave an estimate of 10-15 days for all repairs to be completed and said he would call to give an update on the vehicle an the repairs that were needed once they removed the parts to inspect it more closely. I never got a call back. Due to my workload at work and having a busy mom schedule I didn't call back right away either... I figured the work was being completed. My insurance was covering the cost of the repair so no approval request was needed. A week later, once I got a chance to follow up, I called. I had not heard back from the shop since I dropped my vehicle. I was told they hadn't started the inspection yet but again the technician reassured the work would likely be done within the original time estimate. A week went by and I was expecting to be able to pick up my vehicle. Again, at no point did I get a call from the shop. I called to see if my car was ready for pickup. At that point they told me my car was totaled. I could not believe my car had been at the shop for over two weeks and it was just then that I was told my car was totaled. (The cost of the repairs would be more than the value of the vehicle.) I let my technician Donovan know it was unacceptable that my car had been in the shop for two weeks and it was only then i was informed of this. He was apologetic and said the person working my car had left the job and he was left trying to manage a lot of cases. To cut the review shorter, today is 11-Oct and my car is currently still in the shop. The insurance portion had to be processed and that itself was a whole ordeal. I won't go into details regarding that since the way Caliber handle the situation didn't change. Not once did they ever call me to provide any update, for every step that needed to be taken, no action was taken until I reached out. I'm baffled how this shop runs their business. I understand things happen that are outside of the control of a shop like an employee quitting. I can give the benefit of the doubt for some of the timeline and case management, however a whole month of not providing updates and dragging out every step is unacceptable. read more

After dealing with them for 2 months with no communication and my car just sitting there, I honestly don't have the energy to write out an explanation however I think it is needed to inform Everyone of how they operate and I will do it when the storm has passed. My experience coincides with a couple of other reviews, it seems to be a pattern with the center. Keep in mind at one point their reviews were outstanding with several high remarks, however that was over a year ago. I consider myself a reasonably patient person, however I should've went with my gut to go to another body shop instead. I don't like to give negative reviews. If you have read any of my reviews you can see that I focus on the positive aspects of a business. Caliber Collision has had my car since before Halloween and it's now almost Thanksgiving! I didn't think my car would take this long to get repaired. With the amount of time they have had my car, when I go to pick it up it, my expectations of their work will be very high. On a positive note, BJ, the gentleman that I have been working with at Caliber, I believe has done his best to try to help the process move along. I'm giving him some grace because I know what it is like to have people angry or upset with me when it's beyond my control. Most likely it's not his fault that my car is being pushed back to get repaired. He is not the one making these decisions to push my car to the end of the line of cars waiting to be repaired. As with all businesses it has to do with money and my car repair is pretty straightforward and simple, therefore I keep getting the run around. You would think they would get the easiest repairs done and out of the way. read more

So stupid. Why did I not see the signs. This was without a doubt, one of the worst "customer service" experiences in my life. If your insurance company gives you a choice, I recommend choosing anyone other than Caliber. I should have just gone to my regular mechanic but I thought I would go to a place that specializes in body work. What a mistake. I had a simple dent to my rear bumper. Not my fault so the other person's insurance covered the entire cost. Supposedly once the new bumper is received they check for installation or damage issues (since they have to try and find an aftermarket part first), and then paint before being installed. That can take a day to get the part and a day to paint and I install. For me? Try a couple weeks. The excuse they gave me was not one, not two, but THREE bumpers they got from the dealer were all damaged. Ridiculous. I was promised by the "manager" that on Friday, she would personally check to make sure the right part arrives, gets painted and installed so I could have the car that day. I called at 4pm, talked to someone and was put on hold until the call dropped. I tried calling back--no answer. I sent an email. No response. They completely blew me off. The following Monday the excuse was the delivery driver was out and the painter dude was out as well. Really? Why say my car would be ready or at the very least, let me know it won't be? Side note; I initially asked for an estimate to repaint the front bumper. I had paint chipped off and figured if it's in the shop and they're doing the rear bumper, why not do the front as well (even though it would be out of pocket). The estimate came in at over $1000--just a couple hundred less than the NEW part for the rear bumper! Something ridiculous as 9 hours of labor, paint and other material, blah blah blah. What garbage. I asked them to reconsider the price since its coming out of my pocket and there has to be some efficiency with doing the work at the same time with the same paint. All they did was knock off $200 which of course we declined. Based on the joke of an estimate, taking 10 times longer than they should have, and the complete lack of "customer service", it was painfully obvious they don't need or want the work. My bad. I had the opportunity to take my car to my mechanic over the weeks it took to schedule an appointment (I spared you that story), so all on me. Never, ever again. read more

After a fender bender, I needed the rear bumper of my Toyota Yaris replaced. Caliber Collision worked closely with my insurance agency (Geico), provided me with a quote, and was able to get me in for repairs right away. On top of fixing the bumper, Caliber also cleaned my car inside and out, and waxed it. I've gotten more compliments on my car this week than when I first bought it. In addition to the above, I worked with Fidel, who offered to glue down the loose edges of my front bumper for no extra cost. Overall, I was very impressed with the speed and quality of my repairs, and thought that the staff went above and beyond to help me. I would definitely recommend this location. read more

Absolutely lied to my face and on the phone. Have not even started after a week and don't care this is the only car in the family with two toddlers. Avoid this shop.
