Absolutely one of the best European car shops in San Diego. Knowledgeable, kind and quick to offer multiple solutions, Peter is one of the several outstanding folks at Autohaus, and had a look at my BMW F10 this last week. He spent a considerable amount of time attempting to track down a couple of likely electrical gremlins, and following a day of troubleshooting, he simply wouldn't take my money. Of course, I'll be back as a result, and I can see why a lot of people are loyal to this Midway area spot. Great rates on services, with real master techs on site, this is a neat spot to take your BMW, Audi, Mercedes or other Teutonic sled. Great people, cool shop and strong pricing- Recommended!

Called for an appointment on March 9th to have all the exterior light bulbs changed as two had burned out and also the heater had suddenly stopped working, the brake light sensor was on and I wanted an overall check up. Greg told me to bring the car in on the 15th. I met Les ( the boss) at a little after 9 AM and we reviewed/confirmed what the appointment was for. He thought they could do everything that day for under $1,000. He called me every day with new things that were bad, worn out or safety concern and had my approval each day. Amazing neglect was found by previous mechanics - for example one shop in LA said we had a brake sensor that was bad but checked the brakes and said they were fine. This shop actually found the car needed brakes and someone had cut the sensor wire and taped it off. Picked up that car before closing on the 19th. Yes, several thousand in parts and labor was owed. All this was within the price and timing we agreed to. I also was able to visually see a milk crate full of the "shot" parts the were replaced. I like this shop and find them to be worth giving them my business.

You might up paying for 2 tow bills like I did, a lost day, and the headache of finding another shop/time off work. I called at 9am to have the fuel lines replaced on my 68 Chevelle. Marcos told me they would look it at, had the time, and asked me to have it towed in right away. I arranged and paid for a tow to their shop, and Marcos confirmed they received it at 11am. I stopped by at lunch to meet him in person, add a few items like FiTech reset and parking brake adjustments, and he said the techs would get to it and he'd have an estimate by END OF DAY. No call from Marcos, so I called him at 4:30. Nothing had been done. No assessment, no techs looked at it, and when I asked so why did he have me tow it in, the conversation went sideways and he said "Maybe you should take it somewhere else" and that they'd push it outside and I could pick it up! My issue is not that the shop is busy (they all tell you that) - the issue is I paid for it to be towed in because he said they'd take a look at it and have an assessment by end of day. When I called him at 4:30, nothing had been done and I was met with the attitude/tone to take it somewhere else. I was pretty stuck having already paid for the tow there, and asked if they would get to it tomorrow, and he refused to answer and left me with no choice but to pick it up. Mission Auto gets great reviews - I'm not disputing that. That's the very reason I reached out to them. But I have to balance it with my very bad experience, so bad that this is my first yelp review. Warning: *especially if you tow your car to them, have them stick to their assessment timelines (not the fix, just the estimate). Towing it there means you are "stuck" so they don't have to stick to their word. The result can be a lost day, two tow bills and more headache/time off work to have it go to another shop because they won't acknowledge they missed the timeline THEY promised, and when challenged, will leave your car and keys at the door.

At first, I was told it wouldn't be able to be fixed same day because it was the weekend, everywhere that sells parts would be closed till Monday. Everywhere else I've called were slammed or just not able to help me out till Monday, so I was getting prepared to cut my losses and wait till the next week which would have SUCKED because having to crawl through my backseat, into the front, to open my driver side door every time I had to get into my car absolutely sucked. Then Chuck said he'd call me back if he was able to find something. And lo and behold, he DID and fixed my door handle same day for a super fair price. So I'm just beyond thrilled and appreciative for his help with my last minute, worst-day-of-the-week-to-try-and-get-car-service request. As a young woman who knows nothing about cars, I know I have "overcharge me" written on my forehead. But my experience with Chuck was everything I was hoped for. Quick, amazing work on my 2006 Buick, made the impossible happen, and just so knowledgeable. I'm happy to start having Southwest help maintain my car and fix all the other issues I got going on with my ride.
