For all my females out there .., I don't know how many of you know this .. but you can get the error codes from car vehicle' computer systems ... you know those warning lights on your dash ... read by this device that they plug into the car and all the codes will pop up on the screen so you can get these things fixed. After purchasing a "new to me" vehicle .... Warning Lights popped up all over the dash .... Like 3 of them... I was dismayed. A mechanic in Sarasota told me that you can get these codes figured out for free by AutoZone. YES..., for FREE ! And ,., 1 of the 3 warning lights on my dash was a faulty seal on the gas cap ... such a strange thing ... purchased a $10.00 gas cap that they had in stock at the store and then I was good to go. I replaced a battery in 2024, because my ORIGINAL purchase did not last to the 2 year warranty. The same issue happened again, and when I spoke with the Manager Steve, he told me the replacement basically didn't have a warranty...this I had to purchase another battery. The customer service man John understood, but the Manager basically got his money and said there was nothing he could do. Keep in mind, John checked for crank and alternator issues and everything came out fine. Don't expect too much from this store...there are other Autozones to go to. read more

Stopped by this business today to have the batteries (there are two on my vehicle, a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Limited, a main battery & an auxiliary battery) tested. The employee that assisted me tested them and found them to be bad. They had both batteries in stock and even though they normally do not install batteries in this particular model due to the complexity of gaining access, he offered to give it a try. Working with another employee, Roy, they were able to replace both batteries successfully. I know this effort took much longer than a normal battery swap, however these two employees took their time and were never once deterred from completing the task. Both of them, along with every other employee I met at this business were friendly and helpful. If you need parts or assistance with your vehicle, I would definitely recommend visiting this location! read more

I made an order then went in to pick it up got met by Fernando from the beginning he was Absolutely rude acting like he didn't under stand me and once he got my order together and I went to pay I said this isn't how customers service should treat people he took my order from my hand and I call Micheal Mickey his manager he said he would deal with it then call me back asking how he could get me my parts i told him i already got them from advanced auto and he then changed how he was acting and was like i would have treated you the same as he did and got just as rude as Fernando the customer service for auto zone around sarasota is a complete unacceptable I will never shop here again I'll make sure to refer everyone elsewhere read more

Drove 30 minutes to get here because they supposedly had the power station I wanted "in stock." I had bought one earlier from a different location but it was faulty. When I got there, the item did not exist. Not only that, it was $448 that they said they couldn't cancel or refund because the item wasn't actually in stock like they said it was. Then, the manager there (Fernando) opened up the faulty one that I was returning and basically told me I was an idiot and that it needs to be charged for 15 hours before I can say that it's faulty. (The instructions call for 8 hours which is what we charged it for and got nothing from it, wouldn't even turn on). When I told him that he was wrong he glared at me. Then when they didn't have the exchange part I wanted in stock, I took it back and told him I didn't want to return the one I had then until next time when I would come back to get the money for the current order for the new one. When he put it back in the box to give it back to me, he didn't put back in the power cord and kept it in the store so I had to make another 30 minute trip to the store because of his incompetence. I took the item home to try to charge it for more hours like he suggested. Guess what? No luck. Charged it overnight and all day. When the hurricane came and took out our power, the power station gave us no power. Great. Guess what happened when I tried to return the item after the hurricane since it didn't work? (which I only had to do because the manager had stated that it needed to charge more hours, otherwise I would tried to return it on that day before the hurricane hit). Of course, that same manager (Fernando) is in there glaring at me as I approach the counter. Here we go. When I get up there, he tells me there's nothing he can do because there's no refunds on generators after a hurricane. How convenient. He knew that I had brought it in before the hurricane because it wasn't working, told me it just needed to be charged longer, I told him he was wrong so he got his ego hurt, then he wanted me to return it because some other customer was looking for it so I told him no and took it back and said I didn't want the refund after all since there wasn't another one in stock at the time and I was going to try his suggestion of charging it longer. Then, when it still didn't work, he wouldn't give me a refund. When I tried to explain the situation to him he wouldn't budge at all and just called for the next customer. When I told him that was terrible, he said "you're f***ing terrible" and followed me out the door as I left. He appeared to be threatening me as I walked out. I ignored him, but had I turned around to confront him I am sure he would have hit me. He also did not tell me when I tried to bring the item back before the hurricane that I would not be able to return it after the hurricane. He did this on purpose. Just so that he could screw me out of the $448 because he was mad at me for telling him he was wrong. Horrible manager. Horrible person. This curly headed old man, doesn't know the meaning of exchange. Never go to this store. I asked for an exchange of the brakes I had gotten at autozone which weren't the right brakes in the first place. So the first give me the wrong brakes. Then when I go to exchange them, he returns the item back onto my debit card?! So now I don't have enough money in my account to get the brakes I need. And "it's going to take some days to be returned to the card" Is then what I'm told. I never wanted to hurt someone so bad. I will never go to autozone ever again. read more

Today, our customer service experience at AutoZone was a joke. There were possibly four people working on Memorial Day, and only one person helping the many customers. One man walked out, putting down his items, and we also finally walked out after not even being acknowledged by any of the customer service representatives. What was most galling was one young balding (sorry, but it's only a description. You're fine!) man who was obsessed with what was inside a box. He even turned to the ONE person helping the customer as to what happened to a part from inside the box. Today, the customer came last, not first. We're really NICE people. These guys are awesome! I was thinking about going to Sears auto, but after reading the reviews I decided to contact Sears about the price and the time it takes to put the battery in my car. Besides the price of the battery, Sears said it will cost $20 for an installation fee and it will take an hour to install. If my husband didn't have to work over 60 hours a week, he can install it for free. I then called Auto Zone and they said there is not an installation fee and they will install it immediately when I get to the shop. Husband and I got there late in the evening, however, Auto Zone offered a battery which has an extra year warranty and $2 extra vs the battery they had in stock. The only issue was that the battery had to be ordered and won't be in until the next day. I came back the next day and the tech cleaned the corrosion off along the wires and installed the battery in under 10 minutes! This place is fast and friendly! I recommend this Auto Zone to everyone! :) read more
