Ordered a roast pork lo mein combo and as i was eating, i found a hair in my food. After seeing that i couldn't eat it anymore and immediately felt nauseous. Reported them on uber eats and got a full refund. Stay away from this restaurant, super unsanitary!! I think the theory is that if they have the resolve to set the proper tone early on, they will be able to better themselves in the year to come. Me? I know I'm garbage. So I don't delude myself into thinking this year will be any different. I figure that if I begin 2019 with a deliciously unhealthy, gluttonous combo of roast pork lo mein, General Tso's chicken, and scallion pancakes, there's nowhere to go but up. Autumn Asian is here for me in this regard. They do what my friends call "Dirty Chinese" food right. I appreciate that I didn't even need to tell them about my plan. They just reflexively gave me only like four sad pieces of broccoli that was cooked to death and soaked in sugary sauce. The lo mein was exactly what I needed; carby, a little oily, salty, and the perfect delivery mechanism for the vegetables and tofu they put in there for me (they let me order off the menu, which was pretty great. I asked to have bean curd and broccoli with lo mein and vegetable lo mein but I think they combined them both, and it was delicious). The garlic with eggplant was delicious and perfect. The scallion pancakes could have had more scallions, but the texture was crisp and chewy. For the lo mein with veggies+tofu, garlic eggplant with rice, and scallion pancakes, total came to less than $30, and fed 3 people well. The portions are huge! I'll definitely keep coming! read more

Great portion sizes....that's it. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I got the general tso's chicken, and while I understand that it's breaded, I felt like I was chewing those pieces for dayssss. I was chewing until the pieces where just mashed flat and still not breaking apart in order to be swallowed, I discarded most of it. And also came with a large thing of white rice, if that's your thing. I could taste the sauce, and the sauce was pretty good (it's not spicy - at all) but at no point did I taste the actual chicken. I also got the spring rolls. it comes with four rolls instead of two which should have been a tell-tale sign that it wasn't about to be delicious. I was unimpressed with them as well as they tasted like nothing but light oil/grease and the dough they are rolled in. Try something else and you may have better luck. read more

This is a straight up Americanized Chinese take-out restaurant, and Asian Autumn does it well. Don't plan to sit inside or expect authenticity. The best dishes here are General Tso's chicken and Beef with Broccoli. Prices are good, portions large, and lunch specials are a steal. Order directly on their website to save a $1+ per dish vs Seamless or Doordash. Guys at the counter are super nice when you pick up, and service is fast and efficient. I can't vouch for their meat selections, but Autumn Asian Restaurant knows how to do tofu! Often times with Chinese restaurants the tofu is either fried to a crisp or shriveled up and gummy, but here it's cooked just right and coated with just the right amount of sauce. If you're wondering what to order here, get the pineapple fried rice--you won't be disappointed. It has cashews and raisins in it which I haven't really seen before and it is just so flavorful. read more

This place is great. I got the Szechuan combination and my partner got some garlic chicken and we shared some egg rolls, some crab rangoons, and some fried pork dumplings. Everything tasted hot and fresh and came out really fast. They even entertained my request to make my dish extra spicy. Service was casual, fast and very friendly. I finally found an American-style Chinese comfort take-out place in this are of Brooklyn that is compatible in quality and taste to what you would find in NJ/Long Island/Connecticut and I almost cried. This is by far the best Chinese take-out I've had in Brooklyn. My old go-to was Hunan Delight in Park Slope but this was even better as I often was not a fan of any meat or seafood dish at Hunan Delight. This place also has some nice tasty tofu dishes, which reminds me of some of the larger places in northern New Jersey that have a lot of cool veggie spins on comfort classics. I feel like I have been reborn as this was always an annoyance for me living here as I found it very hard to find good cheap Chinese food. Even the chicken (so many places screw this up around here) was just GOOD! nothing to complain about. Egg rolls were amazing. Boneless spareribs were great. Nothing to complain about. Again - by miles the best Chinese I've had living here and the only one I can compare to a take-out place you would find in the greater metro area. read more

Like other cheap Asian takeout places, you are to expect the same here: quick delivery service, low price, standard Americanized Asian (more Chinese) food and same taste across the American continent. The service is impressive as always - upon my ordering on Seamless, it came in ~30-40 minutes, as promised on Seamless. The price is very low - ~$7 for a main course with rice and egg roll. Nowhere else you can find similarly low price in other types of restaurants. The quality is meh. Given that you have tasted the real Chinese food, you wouldn't like this as Chinese food. It's salty, oily, too soy-saucey and basically everything pan fried tastes like soy sauce. I got a "happy family" with shrimp, pork and even LOBSTER pan fried for $12 but the lobster tastes like plastic (tasteless and I can't even chew it apart). My friend got steamed chicken with broccoli with dipping sauce - the steamed food was fine and healthy but the sauce was a disaster. But I might still order cheap Chinese takeout - after all, it is the most economical and balanced diet you can get on Seamless. So why not? read more

My go-to spot used to be Number One Garden, but Autumn Asian is much better. Quick delivery. Tasty General Tso's chicken. The sauce isn't too thick or thin - just perfect. It's nothing gourmet or reinvented, nor is it a "healthy" version like Michael & Ping's. It's typical "Chinese" food and there's nothing wrong with that. Consistently good. They really fill the container with the lid barely hanging on. No mess, just lots of food. You can get at least two meals out of a single portion. The steamed shrimp with string beans is good, but the shrimp doesn't taste very fresh. Same everywhere else. String beans, however, are perfectly cooked. If I'm ordering healthy, it's a good choice. My BF got the General Tso's and he thought it was "one of the best" he's ever had. We also split the fried dumplings. I definitely do not recommend this. This is for delivery. Super impressed with most of my meal. The Crab Rangoon were very crispy and had big pieces of "crab" inside. The Boneless BBQ spare ribs were the best I've had in NY. The Egg Drop soup is not the best I've had but, the noodles it came with are the fresh fried kind so that a plus. The Generals chicken was average and in my case was a lot of batter. After seeing other reviews with the same info I would skip it. Maybe go with something that isn't the fried chicken and sauce. The fried rice was great though with big pieces of pork. This place is strictly for take out, and offers typical Chinese American dishes. The quality is excellent. I had broccoli with garlic sauce - the sauce was delicious and they didn't drown the broccoli. And the broccoli was cooked perfectly - not mushy - not raw. My husband had chicken with mixed vegetables and he really liked it a lot. My only slightly negative feedback was that the rice was not sticky which is how I like it - but this small thing would not keep me from ordering from here again. read more

I was pleasantly surprised on last nights delivery. It's your basic Chinese comfort food. Singapore noodles were delicious. I stay away from the often too oily saucier noodles. Hunan chicken could've had more kick but that was easily remedied with a little hot sauce. We over ordered to have some lunch left overs. Rancid Sesame Chicken!!!!! To be honest, I've had successful orders from this restaurant before, but the one I had last night was terrible enough to counteract any positive experience I've had with Autumn Asian in the past. While I got through the wonton soup and egg rolls just fine, I got to the sesame chicken and picked up on a....rotten smell. This has never before happened to me with Chinese food so I thought maybe it was me. I was REALLY hungry and maybe thought I was having a bad association with the food and I should give it a few minutes. I came back a few minutes later and smelled the horrible smell again. I took a small bite of the chicken and the taste and texture matched. I don't know if was an issue with the sauce or the chicken itself, but it smelled as if something had been left sitting on a counter for a week. I love Chinese food and this place is really cheap and close, but I'm sad to say that after this incident Autumn Asian has been added to my permanent black list. read more

The pros: Really large portions ($10 for easily enough for 2 people), tasty sweet & sour chicken and really good beef + mixed vegetables The cons: the steamed vegetable dumplings were pretty gross. They smelled/tasted very fish-y and even my boyfriend wouldn't eat them (and he'll eat almost anything). I'll order from them again but nix the dumplings from now on. read more

Delivery was fast and my orange chicken combo platter was fine. The eggroll wasn't great, very soggy (water soggy, not oil). But the eggdrop soup was inedible and frankly revolting. I can't believe it was even placed in the bag to begin with. When I took the container of soup out of the bag it reeked of cigarettes. I opened the container and it smelled like an ashtray. It was absolutely disgusting. My roommate tried the tiniest spoonful to see if it was just the container, but no. She said it tasted like smoking a cigarette. Will never order again. read more
