We feel so lucky to have found Autumn Creek Learning Center for our younger son. He started here at just 3 years old, and from the very beginning, he loved going to school every single day -- which, as any parent knows, means everything. The school itself is small and the facility may look a bit older, but what truly makes it special is the people. Ms. Asmita and Ms. Brogan run the school with so much care and dedication. Ms. Brogan is especially impressive -- thoughtful, efficient, and incredibly professional. She has such a strong presence that you can't help but notice her. Honestly, she could shine anywhere! Our son is in the Honey Bear class, and we couldn't have asked for better teachers -- Ms. Susmita, Ms. Stacy, and Ms. Preetha. They are warm, patient, and genuinely attentive to each child. As parents, we always felt heard and supported, and the communication has been consistently great. The growth we've seen in our son has been amazing. Not just academically, but also in confidence, social skills, and independence. He truly thrived here. As he moves on to TK next semester, it's bittersweet -- we're excited for his next step, but we know he will deeply miss this school and his teachers. Both of our kids went to ACLC and the community (Admin, Teachers, Families) are wonderful! The school helped potty train my 3yo son when we weren't making progress at home. Meals are included and extracurricular activities like soccer and gymnastics are offered, which is so helpful for full time working parents. The outdoor space is large and shaded. We get weekly progress reports and lots of cute artwork. The staff do such an amazing job; happy kids everyday at pickup and both our kids were over prepared for TK! read more

Autumn Creek has been such a great place to be working here. Ms. Asmita and Ms. Brogan cares so much about their staff and of course the children. They make sure they're taking care of. Teachers teach outstanding skills and treat the children like their own also to be independent. TK program(Grizzly bears), is a great program for your child to be in. They make sure they're ready for kindergarten. I love how they have extra activities such as Foreign Languages(Hindi, Chinese, Spanish and Sign language) also they have music and yoga. School Age program is an amazing class, they have science experiments and nature walks which children enjoys with the little things they find out the nature. I came here to update my previous 5-Star review, but it seems to have disappeared. Our child attended Autumn Creek for several years, and we had a wonderful experience. The teachers and staff are truly amazing. At one point, our child faced some behavioral challenges, and rather than asking us to find a new school--something I've heard has happened elsewhere, Autumn Creek worked with us to support him. Thanks to their patience and dedication, he was able to stay in a familiar environment, which was incredibly beneficial for his growth. Children thrive on routine, and we are so grateful for the opportunity they gave him. All of the teachers are fantastic, but we want to give a special shoutout to Ms. Sadie, Ms. Christine, Ms. Morgan, and Ms. Nicole from the Koala Bears class, they are exceptional. Our child always talks about Ms. Sadie and Ms. Christine and tells us how much he loves them. Ms. Asmita, the owner, has such a calm and kind presence, and Ms. Brogan always welcomes everyone with a warm smile. I can't praise ACLC enough for the incredible impact it's had on my daughter's development. Since moving to this daycare last April, we've been thrilled with our choice, especially given its NAEYC accreditation. From the play-based environment she was accustomed to previously, to ACLC's rich educational standards, the transition was made with compassion, understanding, and encouragement. Watching her progress from the Koala Bear (3-4yr olds) class and now as a Honey Bear (4-5yr olds), has been truly rewarding. The dedication and care from every teacher, old and new, is truly visible. Their ability to engage and guide the children with love and compassion is remarkable. My daughter has found such a nurturing environment, that I'm enrolling her as a Grizzly Bear (the private TK) in the fall. Her emotional and cognitive development are important, and she has all the support she needs from ACLC to ensure she will be ready for Kindergarten when the time comes. I have also enrolled my 1.5yr old for the January session of Little Bears (2-3yrs class), so that he can start once he turns 2. I've had the privilege of observing the teachers and children in action during mid-morning drop-offs, and I'm continually impressed by the seamless efficiency of their activities. Their ability to engage the children in different tasks, as well as allow them independence and a sense of responsibility (like being the Line Leader - a very important role!), is so heart-warming and awe-inspiring. I consistently walk in during busy times (usually when the children are changing tasks and moving onto the next activity), but my daughter is always acknowledged by the teachers, given options of what she would like to do, and greeted by friends who want to see her. In terms of management, I feel that ACLC truly listens to parent feedback as well, which is a welcome change from some daycares. Some examples of this are a dedicated vegetarian menu based on parent recommendations, increased deep-cleaning schedules by professional commercial cleaners (they come every day, and another company comes on the weekends for a deep-clean), and more pictures on the parent/school communication app. Despite encountering negative reviews from others, my experience with ACLC has been overwhelmingly positive. While some may find fault, I haven't encountered many of the issues mentioned in those few reviews. I'd like to specifically address the mention of overcrowding, as well. The daycare industry is extremely regulated, and a business isn't going to risk an audit by the state agency over consistent overcrowding. It can be confusing when seeing more than 24 names on a roster, but the classrooms are well-regulated, with a mix of part-time and full-time schedules. ACLC has become aware that this can be a confusing matter, and has stated on their rosters the fact that there are indeed part-time and full-time students, with specific slots to ensure overcrowding doesn't happen. It's true that ACLC isn't the newest facility on the block, but what it lacks in shiny newness, it more than makes up for in experience and a proven track record of success. With years of service under their belt, ACLC has honed their approach to childcare, providing a stable and nurturing environment for children to thrive. My final thought is that ACLC has exceeded my family's expectations in every way, providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive. When it comes to care for our kids, you can bet me and my husband are very particular on who is caring for our when children they are not under our watch. We've had our son going to Autumn Creek for 2 years now and hope to bring our daughter here once she turns two! We absolutely love the directors Asmita and Brogan and our sons current primary caretaker, Ms. Buna. The staff here is absolutely wonderful and they truly care about the safety and love for the children. There is so much that my son has learned here and I truly value and appreciate all the work the teachers put into my son, not only to teach academically, but also social skills which are so important for toddlers and young children. This facility is dream, from early opening hours to meals provided, to activities for the kids such as soccer and tumbling, there is so much provided that it makes dropping them off for the day that much easier. I appreciate the weekly reports, and even support during potty training which as a new mom was totally overwhelming to me. I truly feel like the staff here walks with you through parenthood and offers insight and support whenever its needed. Our child attended Autumn Creek from ages 2-4 and we had a wonderful experience. The staff feels like family - they cared so much for our child and loved them individually. We also feel our child is so prepared for elementary school because of both the structure of the day and curriculum at Autumn Creek. Asmita and Brogan would also brighten our day every morning and we could feel they really cared about creating a positive and loving environment for families. Our child also has food allergies and we felt safe sending them to Autumn Creek. This place is a true day care system where child occupancy out numbers the staff supporting. Updated review*** I did not think I could love ACLC any more than I already do but the the amount of care they have brought to my 2 year old daughter this past year has been incredible. With this being my last child and her never being in preschool before, I was worried. Her older brother attends so that was nice to have for moral support during drop off. She comes home every day telling her siblings how much fun she had at school and how she is big just like them since she is now potty trained (all the teachers were incredibly patient with her, thank you). The teachers are extremely loving and caring towards all the children. You can see that they have a special bond with the children. This school is not a school at all, it is a daycare with too many kids that are left to roam around without much supervision . Asmita, who runs the school seems to be only concerned with having high enrollment numbers.. The play equipment is old and not kept clean, the sandbox is dirty and overflowing out of their fence, they don't keep it covered so animals can urinate or deficate in it.I do not recommend this daycare and quite frankly wonder how they remain licensed. read more

This is an amazing school. They will treat your child with love. I appreciate the nurturing and academic environment. I have nothing bad to say about this school. I would never recommend this preschool to anyone! My grandchild attended here earlier in the year. The teachers are all clearly burnt out and honestly seem to have broken spirits. Another red flag is that there can be up to 40 children in the 3 year old class on a given day, how in the world can a center provide quality care with that many small children?! I was misled during the tour, they said that the ratio was 1:8, that is absolutely not true!! I don't know how they got NAEYC accreditation, this is a daycare not a preschool. We started our two year old in the "Little Bears" class in September. Best. Decision. Ever. We are so happy with this school and the little girl loves it here. The first week was rough as it takes our daughter a bit to warm up to new people, but now she happily runs into class and never looks back. The teachers are great.... I get an update every single day and my daughter is thriving, learning and maturing very rapidly. it's pretty amazing really. I think she was getting frustrated/bored at her old in - home daycare, whereas at Autumn Creek she is stimulated and engaged all day, every day. Main reasons why we chose Autumn Creek: 1. When we visited, every kid seemed genuinely happy to be there. 2. It's very clean and bright throughout. 3. They serve a healthy lunch and snacks each day. 4. It's fairly close to our house (5 minutes). 5. They offer a variety of schedules to chose from and if none of them work, they are very flexible. Price tag is high, but comparable to others in the area. I am so happy we made the decision to chose Autumn Creek.... more than likely due to the changes in the Kindergarten system at elementary schools, she'll be here for 4 years!!! (gulp) We had one situation that was not too cool.... My husband came to pick up our daughter to be told she'd already been picked up! What a wonderful place! I moved to Danville when my child was 3 years old and was so happy to find this place. She attended autumn creek for 3 years until she went to elementary school. Every single teacher we had was so wonderful with her. The owner and staff were always very accommodating and did everything they could to make my life easier. During Covid they helped my child with her remote learning and worked with her in her homework so I don't have to when I get home from work in the evenings. I was able to spend quality time with my baby every night thanks to Autumn Creek. I've never seen so many passionate teachers that love what they do and love the kids as much as this group of women. As soon as my husband and I toured ACLC, we knew that it had the "feeling" that we were looking for. We selected it based on the fact that both the teachers and the students were happy, relaxed and enjoying their environment and each other. We have had a number of health problems and local moves in the past two years, requiring us to leave our boys (ages 4 and 2), at ACLC for extended periods of time. Without any warning, ACLC accommodated us. Furthermore, the compassion that we receive from the staff and the teachers, is ongoing. My experience has been that each of the 4 teachers in each of the 4 classrooms, has brought a skill set and a compassion set, that is unique to them. In my opinion, we are fortunate to have this diversity amongst the teachers. Though 4 teachers sounds overwhelming, your child will be assigned a primary teacher whom you may report to and vice/versa. I have found this relationship very valuable especially for my youngest, who suffers from speech delay. His primary teacher has been my biggest champion of speech therapy. She also reiterates speech techniques from therapy, throughout his day at ACLC. As far as the degree of nurturing, the teachers' collectively nurture the children with the appropriate level of care, based on the child's age and needs. In summary, ACLC is wonderful. Both of our boys started as soon as they turned 2. As a result, we have had an opportunity to experience all of the classrooms and teachers. Our boys are like oranges and apples, incomparable. However, the teachers at ACLC have customized an experience for each boy that suits and stimulates him. We are very grateful for ACLC. read more

If you are looking for an amazing full time preschool, you have found it! My son attended Autumn Creek from Aug 2017 through Aug 2020 (age 2-5). He learned so much growing and moving up through each classroom. He was 100% kindergarten ready! The teachers are all so caring and fun, but provide structure and independence as the child grows. The curriculum is great and my son came home learning so much every day including foreign language and music. My daughter has been going to Autumn Creek for about 2 years and we are so extremely happy with the school! We moved to the Tri-Valley area when she was 3 years old and the move was difficult for her. She was suffering from serious separation anxiety but the teachers, staff and the director were extremely affectionate and understanding. Fast forward 2 years and three classrooms, she is transformed into a confident spunky girl who does not want to miss a day of school! I began researching schools for my first daughter months before she was scheduled to age out of the infant center she was attending. I researched thoroughly online and visited more than seven schools in and around our area. Autumn Creek Learning Center (ACLC) was at the top of my list. We initially sent her to a school near our home, only because we were having our second child and we thought introducing too many new transitions to our first would be difficult for her. In retrospect, our first daughter would have done well with the new school and new baby and I wish we would have sent her to ACLC in the first place. Upon first entry into the school you know that it is a place that encourages creativity, learning and fun. The school is clean and the walls colorful and vibrant. ACLC has been a great place for our oldest daughter who has been here now for almost two years. She started in "Little Bears" and is now a "Koala." Unlike a Montessori school we visited, the kids here are being kids. Sure, there are times when quiet focus is necessary, but there are also times when I enter and the joy of childhood is evident. It is also clear that my daughter is loved, not just by her teachers, but also by the director and co-director. They all have hers (and our) best interest at heart. It is important to me that she is in a place where she is safe and feels safe. What also separates ACLC from other schools I visited is that they have a very thorough emergency system/procedures in place. So, if there is a disaster of some sort (like an earthquake), the staff is prepared and knowledgeable about what to do with the children AND they are properly equipped (equipment wise) to feed and shelter the children for several days. Lisa, the center's co-director spent several months coordinating with local disaster authorities to get the school equipped and ready to handle these situations. Believe me, this is the ONLY school that is this prepared. My eyes widened when I asked other schools about their procedures and learned how uneducated and how much they lacked in terms of emergency procedures and equipment. Another very important thing for me was to place her in an environment that encourages cleanliness. I appreciate that children wash their hands upon arriving to the school as well as throughout the day. It helps decrease the children's unnecessary exposure/spread of more ickies. One parent commented about her child constantly getting sick when they first attended ACLC. Children who have never been exposed to a school environment will definitely get sick more often, especially in the beginning because their immune system hasn't been exposed to all the things that group environments bring. That happened to our first daughter at her infant care program, and as disheartening as it was, it was bound to happen. I also have to disagree with some of the comments that ACLC is more of a "daycare" than a "preschool." I believe that the activities are appropriate for the age groups and that the learning that occurs in play is profound. There will be years ahead for children to sit down and learn strictly by rote and memorization. These growing years shouldn't be the time for just that kind of learning. Not everyone will have the same perspective on a single school. For us, we love ACLC and what they provide our daughter. We love the teachers, Ms. Kay and Ms. Lisa. We just moved here from the East Coast. I find the preschools in this area to be extremely structured and highly academic, almost too much. And competitive. Why cant kids be kids? I needed to find a place for the remaining three months or so of the school year. Then we went to Autumn Creek. There is an exciting and diverse group at this school. It is clean and colorful and action packed. I absolutely loved it, really. Although my son did not ultimately attend, it was because of the availability for his age group. I loved the philosophy and approach to learning. So creative. Tons of kids in a one big bright room broken down into several groups that travel from activity to activity center. Sometimes math, reading, play--I have not seen another school that uses stations in such a way to reinforce learning concepts. The director, Kay, is vivacious and loving and welcoming. I felt a connection with her right away and she got down and spoke directly to my son at his level, which many other places spoke only to me. The things I did not like: I was not crazy that they provide the snack and the lunch, as my son can be a picky eater. I would prefer to pack his lunch/snack. I was also not a fan of the bathroom situation, it is just one big open room with five mini toilets and several child size sinks all out in the open. There is no privacy, no stalls. I did not want my child having a bowel movement with an audience, and nor do I think that at age 5 should he be removing his pants in front of the opposite sex. They assured me that he would have privacy but with so many kids I found that hard to believe that it would happen, even under the best intentions. However, these would not have prevented me from enrolling him if they had an opening, which disappointingly they did not. Every kid there was happy, engaged and most importantly, having fun while learning as little kids should at this age in a social setting. I have a younger son who is one and would definitely consider this preschool when the time comes for him. read more

Autumn Creek Learning Center has served our son and daughter well over the years and managed their different personalities with careful attention and tailored their approach to them individually with care. Our son is starting 3rd grade soon and our daughter TK so we are about to leave so it will be sad to be done with Autumn Creek and we have no regrets. Our son was prepared very well for Kindergarten so much so that it was kind of like a repeat year for him as the teachers at ACLC strive to encourage the kids to learn and enjoy it at the same time. I can only suspect our daughter will be cruising through TK/kindergarten with ease also. We've had a lot of favorite teachers throughout the years with the different age specific classes. They really care a lot and kept us in the loop with all details to ensure we knew our kids strengths and weaknesses. It's not a hardcore curriculum that is pushed but there is structure to it. They are proud of their accreditation status with NAEYC and are always staying on top of things from cleanliness, meals, safety, breadth if education to keep their high quality. It was very apparent that they had good schooling because they were FAR AHEAD of other students when they entered kindergarten. PLEASE READ MY EXPERIENCE BEFORE EVEN CONSIDERING PUTTING YOUR CHILD IN THIS SCHOOL- YOU OWE IT TO YOUR CHILD. I do not recommend this school to anybody who really cares about their child's well being and education. We've moved twice this past year (Jersey and Florida before moving back to CA) and when I visited AC I was sure I had found the perfect school for my son..boy was I fooled! (and I pride myself on having the best instincts). My 3 year old, who is very social, outgoing, and has ALWAYS enjoyed attending every school we've put him in, absolutely could not stand the idea of going to this school every day. To top things off, it really seemed like he wasn't learning a single thing in there. You can tell when your son is engaged and learning new things in school cause every day they come back, either singing a new song, or telling you something they didn't know before, etc. My son got NOTHING every day. He was enrolled in the PM program and my husband and I really got the sense that this was more of a daycare where you just dump your kids cause you have nowhere else to take them. This was clearly not what I wanted, as I am not working and I just wanted my son to join a school on a PT program so he could be with other kids, have fun and learn some things at the same time. A place where he would also feel like he was cared for by the teachers. The Director, though she seems really nice to talk to, would not acknowledge my worries. Instead, she was trying to convince me that this was normal in kids and it would take them time to adapt. I kept telling her, other kids maybe, but I know my son and in 1 year he's been in 3 schools (counting this one) and he's NEVER had issues before, and on top of that he isn't learning anything). She disagreed and again tried to convince me otherwise, which I found greatly inappropriate as she should realize that each kid is different and perhaps I did have a point. I told her I would give it 2 more weeks, and if I didn't see any progress I would pull my son out. Well, a few days later my son tells me that a teacher hit him in the head!!! Can you believe this? I took my son out of there that same day- the school is lucky I didn't contact the authorities which is what I really should have done. I immediately began looking for other schools and came across one that I hadn't seen in my initial search- Fountainhead Montessori in DAnville. I LOVED the program...they even let my son attend a class to see how he would like it and guess what? My son loved it from day1! Since the first day, he has enjoyed going to this school and tells me how much he wants to go to school everyday. He's also learning so much and each day he comes back excited with something new. The teachers are so caring and they are consistently communicating with the parents about your child's development which I appreciate a lot. I can't believe I didn't find this school in the first place so my son wouldn't have had to endure that terrible month at Autumn Creek. The other day while I was picking up my son, another mother mentioned how she too had to remove her son from AC and how her son had progressed immensely since joining Fountainhead (and it costs less too...not that it really matters when it comes to your child's well being). I really love Fountanhead and I also liked Sycamore Valley when I did the tour. I just thought the Fountainhead program might be a better match for my son, but PLEASE, PLEASE don't let the Director and her good verbal skills fool you into placing your child in this school (or atleast notice when you tour how kids are all dull and seem unhappy...I just realized this after my son was enrolled). read more

Great and patient teachers, my eldest daughter had serious separation anxiety and would throw fits wet herself and cry all the time now she wants to see Mrs Sumita every day especially now that school is out that's the first place she wants to head. This place is extremely expensive (well for me that is) but my daughters are the reason I do ever and they are the best asset I have so they are worth every penny. Having inspected most Preschools in the San Ramon Valley, we settled on this for our 3 year old. After almost having our daughter there for 2 years, as well as most of our friends children, we have to say that by FAR the staff and education levels were fantastic. Our children were challenged in all areas of development, kids loved going to school there and from day one felt very comfortable. A very secure feeling. School owner Kay is very involved with every child and it shows, as the children take to her very well. The repairs are done immediately, as having been an inspector of this facility, as well as many others in this area, by far one of the cleanest and well run facilities. Staff certainly enjoyed their jobs, as it showed in their dedication to the children. We've had an amazing experience with ACLC - I've watched my son grow by leaps and bounds since starting there last year: letters, numbers, colors, coloring, writing, singing songs, sharing, and so many language skills, just to name a few. Everyone there dotes on my son which makes him feel so special, and upon observation, I find that they dote on ALL the kids, which is so nice to see. It makes for such a happy environment with good energy. My son has never come home unhappy and loves his days at school. He's constantly talking about his teachers, the staff, the director Ms. Kay, and every morning asks, "Mama, is it school time?" In our experience the teachers and staff have been very hands on and have done a great job in keeping us involved in our son's education and time there. We're always getting updates, feedback, and so much art! The teachers, staff, and the director Ms. Kay are easy to talk to, they always take the time to answer any questions we have, accommodate any schedule changes, and respond to any email queries in a timely fashion. As a "techie" parent, I love the monthly email newsletters, the monthly menu being posted online, and that the calendars are set up to sync with my own Google calendar. The NAEYC accreditation is well deserved given their adherence to the quality assurances required and communication with parents and staff. The food service is also very impressive at ACLC - the food is fresh / hot and prepared on site. The planning and variety of the food reminds me of the enviable French creche menus I've read about. Also, my kid is one of the ones with allergies, so I very much appreciate their strict policy about the food that is brought in to ensure no cross contamination. My child LOVES lunch time and when asked, he is so enthusiastic telling us about lunch and how much he ate. It's really nice to see his palate grow this past year and the food service at ACLC has a lot do with that. It takes a village to raise a child and I'm very happy that ACLC is part of our village.
